[22:09] <~Kroked> It has been one year since you were stranded in the desert by a bunch of Gypsies, which, oddly enough, has turned out to be quite fortunate for you
[22:11] <~Kroked> while you were left with nothing, you survived, and made it to the large trade town of Ahasuma, there, you began you're own restaurant, a sort of cafe.
[22:11] <~Kroked> while located near the edge of town, you are from unpopular, in fact, you've quickly found yourself one of the most popular establishments int he town
[22:12] <~Kroked> your strange way of service has been found interesting, and quite attractive, mostly by men, but you have plenty of female patrons as well
[22:14] <~Kroked> at the moment, your workforce is still small, consisting of about 4 girls. One, a girl in her mid teens, previously a street rat, before you gave her a job, named Sasha is very talented at the art of the tsundere. Another, Mary, a runaway noble from some foreign country is very popular as a maid.
[22:15] <~Kroked> but by far your biggest attraction are the twins, Molly and Mia, talented dancers with an extremely stylish flair, they pull the heartstrings of all who see them
[22:16] <~Kroked> you don't know a whole lot about these particular too, they just sort of... turned up one day, looking for a place to stay and eat. They were more than happy to work for their share
[22:17] <~Kroked> Today marks exactly 1 year since the founding of this... Moe Cafe. Unfortunatly, poor Mary is sick and in bed, so today you're subbing in
[22:22] <~Kroked> Mary ussually served drinks at the bar, so that is currently what you are doing
[22:23] <~Kroked> while doing so, you hear a particularly loud Townsperson ranting and raving about something
[22:23] <Townsperson> "The most terrifying sight I'd ever laid eyes upon! One of these things came up out of a dune desert side, and just swallowed up the whole ground floor of the place!"
[22:24] <Townsperson> "I saw two or three more buildings go the same way, to these huge... not serpents really, but more like gigantic worms. Mouths like a gaping chasm!"
[22:25] <Townsperson> "When I finally got my wits about me to flee the scene, these things had gone through an entire block of the place!"
[22:25] <~Kroked> "Oh yeah? And what next, you saw a Djinn directing them? Pha! WHat's your proof?" says one unbeleiving patron
[22:26] * Faolan perks up a little as she attempts to listen inconspicuously
[22:27] <Townsperson> "I had no easy time believing it myself, but you can go out there and see for yourself! That's damage I'd be hard pressed to see even a legendary sorcerer dish out!"

[22:29] <~Kroked> The man raises an eyebrow and laughs "Hey Faolan! I think you should let this one off the liquor!" the man Guffaws

[22:32] <Townsperson> "Just a light malt, is all. Nothing too strong, or more than I can hold. But I'm sober enough to tell you this all happened just a stone's throw from here. You'd do best to pack up ship out before this place becomes a heap of inglorious rubble."

[22:32] * Faolan frowns a little, remembering what happened a year or so ago
[22:32] <~Kroked> The man just shakes his head "Bah, maybe he needs a little /more/ Liquor than"
[22:33] * Faolan checks to see what Sasha is doing
[22:33] <~Kroked> Sasha's doing her tsundere 'Act' for a table.
[22:34] <~Kroked> "And you Faolan!" the man says, and obvious start of a slur in his voice "So cold! One day, I swear I'll see your dere side!"
[22:34] <~Kroked> Everyone at the bar starts laughing and throwing rude remarks at the man
[22:35] * Faolan sighs a little, shaking her head, and sets the the glass she's polishing down onto the table
[22:35] <Faolan> "I'm going to check the place out. It's nearby, right? Give me a few minutes."
[22:35] * Faolan glances at the crowd
[22:35] <Faolan> "Would anyone like to come check with me?"
[22:36] <~Kroked> everything is hectic, like normal, all o the girls are doing there best, Molly and Mia expressinterest, but there's just way too many people for them to just abandond their posts, same for you really, it might be best to check after closing

[22:37] <Faolan> "Scratch that, I'll just check after closing."
[22:37] * Faolan looks at the Townsperson
[22:37] <Faolan> "If you think this place is going to be swallowed, why are you still here?"

[22:38] <Townsperson> "Only place in this part of town where you can still get a decent drink."
[22:38] <Faolan> "A drink at the risk of death? Doesn't seem wise."
[22:39] <Townsperson> "If you're drinking the right way, every drink is."
[22:39] <Townsperson> "But if you're wise, you'll come out and have a look after closing. I can show you where I saw it. Not far, like I said."
[22:39] * Faolan inspects the glass before moving onto cleaning the next one
[22:39] <Faolan> "That sounds good. Thank you."
[22:40] * Townsperson nods, deposits some currency on the tabletop and departs
[22:42] <~Kroked> the day goes surprisingly quickly, when you close around midnight, kicking out the last stragglers, you and the girls are all pretty tired
[22:43] * Faolan looks around at the three girls
[22:43] <Faolan> "Are any of you interested in checking out the building with me?"
[22:44] <~Kroked> Sahsa gives a tiny "Hmph. It's probably just the the rambling of some drunk fool looking for attention, no way /I'm/ going to pay him any heed"
[22:45] <~Kroked> Molly and Mia on the other hand shrug "Sure" they say in unison

[22:47] <Faolan> "I'd feel better if you went along with us, however. It's quite late."
[22:49] <~Kroked> "And bed is just upstairs, it's not like someone's going to break in and try to murder me with Sabin downstairs"
[22:49] <~Kroked> Sabin is your chef, he sleeps in the basement, he's also known as a hell of bruiser, alog with being a talented cook
[22:52] <Faolan> "Sabin might not wake up in time. But alright, if you insist. We should be back in a couple of minutes. If we're not back in a reasonable amount of time, bring Sabin and come find us."
[22:53] <~Kroked> She rolls her eyes "Whatever, it's not like I'm actually worried or anything"
[22:53] <~Kroked> She walks off to get some sleep
[22:53] <~Kroked> you head outside with Molly and Mia, and meet with the Townsperson outside
[22:53] * Faolan resists the urge to squeeze her cheeks and ruffle her hair as she walks away

[22:54] <Faolan> "Lead the way, sir."
[22:54] <Townsperson> "Of course. It's a bit down this street and 'round the corner."
[22:54] * Townsperson begins to lead, raising a handheld lamp ahead of the group

[23:21] <Stephen> "Really did a number on the place. Those corner posts are rated to withstand stampeding animals, if memory serves."
[23:21] <~Kroked> Faolan: you see an entire line of buldings ruined, you actually saw this earlier, the officials are saying it was an earthquake
[23:22] * Faolan inspects exactly how they were ruined
[23:22] <Faolan> (which parts were damaged?)
[23:22] <~Kroked> it's ahrd to tell, you aren't no architect, but it definitly looks like some kind of structural damage

[23:24] * Faolan inspects the structures for a few more moments before handing the lamp back to Stephen
[23:24] <Faolan> "Thanks for the warning. If you see anything else, please let me know. It seems that this is being reported as earthquake damage."
