  1. ## World Map Text
  2. After defeating Sigune,
  3. Roy headed for Edessa,
  4. located in the northeast of Ilia.
  5. Castle Edessa, owned by Zealot, leader of
  6. the Ilian Mercenary Knights, once served as
  7. the headquarters of the Pegasus Knight teams
  8. as well.
  9. However, with Zealot gone, Bern saw its
  10. chance and attacked the castle, forcing
  11. the Mercenary and Pegasus Knights into
  12. submission.
  13. Castle Edessa was Murdock's headquarters,
  14. but since Murdock had returned to Bern,
  15. Roartz was put in charge.
  16. Alarmed by the Etrurian Army's
  17. speed in advancing to Edessa,
  18. Roartz hurriedly contacted the
  19. various Ilian Knight groups asking
  20. them for aid.
  21. However, their replies were not promising.
  22.
  23. ## Intro 1
  24. \g[Castle]
  25. \f[#|Roartz]\m[6|5]\w[16]\f[#|Soldier]
  26. \s[#]
  27. Well?|/n
  28. Have we got enough troops?|
  29.
  30. \s[#]
  31. Well...|/n
  32. We are requesting aid from Ilia's/n
  33. Knights, but all of them except those/n
  34. that have direct orders from Lord/n
  35. Murdock are hesitant to help us.|
  36.
  37. \s[#]
  38. Damn!|/n
  39. How could this happen...|/n
  40. Ah, we had captured Zealot's wife and/n
  41. his family.|/n
  42. How about Zealot's group?|/n
  43. Have they responded?|
  44.
  45. \s[#]
  46. No...|/n
  47. They have been traveling all over the/n
  48. continent as mercenary knights, so we/n
  49. do not know their exact location.|
  50.
  51. \s[#]
  52. Damn...|
  53.
  54. \s[#]
  55. Ever since Sigune's group was defeated,/n
  56. all of Ilia's militia have been reluctant/n
  57. to attack the Etrurian Army.|
  58.
  59. \s[#]
  60. Blast!|/n
  61. Everyone, everyone is such a coward!|/n
  62. They would have me, advisor to the/n
  63. Etrurian court, die in a place/n
  64. like this!?|
  65.
  66. ## Scene 1
  67. \g[Prison Cell]
  68. \f[#|Old Woman]\f[#|Juno]\f[#|Villager Lady]
  69. \s[#]
  70. Cough...cough...|
  71.
  72. \s[#]
  73. Are you alright?|/n
  74. Here, take my shawl.|
  75.
  76. \s[#]
  77. N-no,/n
  78. then you would be cold...|
  79.
  80. \s[#]
  81. It's alright,/n
  82. I'm used to the cold.|/n
  83. It's far better than flying through/n
  84. the blizzards on a pegasus.|
  85.
  86. \s[#]
  87. ... Thank you.|/n
  88. Cough...cough...|
  89.
  90. \s[#]
  91. Lady Juno...|/n
  92. What will become of us?|
  93.
  94. \s[#]
  95. ... I don't know.|/n
  96. But we must have hope.|/n
  97. Perhaps the enemy might leave,/n
  98. or perhaps Zealot might return.|/n
  99. We must have hope.
  100.
  101. \s[#]
  102. ... Where is Lord Zealot now?|
  103.
  104. \s[#]
  105. In his last letter, he said that he/n
  106. would be joining the Lycia Alliance/n
  107. Army, but after that...|/n
  108. Well, he could be closer than/n
  109. we think he is.|
  110.
  111. \s[#]
  112. I hope you're right.|
  113.
  114. ## Scene 1
  115. \g[Hill]
  116. \f[#|Roy]\f[#|Guinevere]\f[#|Soldier from off screen]
  117. \s[#]
  118. ...|/n
  119. We fight again today.|
  120.
  121. \s[#]
  122. Yes.|/n
  123. When we take this castle,/n
  124. we can use it as a base to/n
  125. launch attacks on Bern.|
  126.
  127. \s[#]
  128. ...Yes.|
  129.
  130. \s[#]
  131. Princess...|/n
  132. May I ask the reason why Bern's/n
  133. former king tried to murder/n
  134. King Zephiel?|
  135.
  136. \s[#]
  137. ...Zephiel and I have different mothers.|/n
  138. So I am actually his half sister.|
  139.
  140. \s[#]
  141. I heard that Zephiel's mother/n
  142. was the Etrurian princess.| (SF mentions a queen, not a princess.)
  143.
  144. \s[#]
  145. Yes.|/n
  146. It was an arranged marriage to/n
  147. strengthen the tie between Bern and/n
  148. Etruria.|/n
  149. However, our father already had/n
  150. a woman he loved at that time.|/n
  151. She is my mother.|
  152.
  153. \s[#]
  154. .....|
  155.
  156. \s[#]
  157. The marriage between our father and/n
  158. Zephiel's mother was forced.|/n
  159. Therefore, our father didn't/n
  160. love Zephiel's mother and so/n
  161. always thought badly of Zephiel.|
  162.
  163. \s[#]
  164. Then is that why the former king/n
  165. and Zephiel had a bad relationship?|
  166.
  167. \s[#]
  168. No...|/n
  169. Even then, Zephiel was always trying/n
  170. his best to gain our father's affection.|/n
  171. He excelled in his studies and military/n
  172. training and was always trying hard.|/n
  173. He gre to become a proud heir/n
  174. to Bern's throne.|
  175.
  176. \s[#]
  177. Then why did the/n
  178. King try to...|
  179.
  180. \s[#]
  181. Master Roy!|/n
  182. We are ready for the attack!|
  183.
  184. \s[#]
  185. Alright,/n
  186. I'll be there in a minute!|/n
  187. Princess Guinevere,/n
  188. I'm sorry but...|
  189.
  190. \s[#]
  191. Not, it is alright.|/n
  192. Please be careful.|
  193.
  194. ## Scene 1 - Turn 26
  195. \g[-]
  196. \f[#|Roy]
  197. \s[#]
  198. The blizzard is picking up...|/n
  199. This might take much longer/n
  200. than we expected.|/n
  201. We should head for Bern as soon/n
  202. as we take the castle|
  203.
  204. ## Talk Shanna Juno
  205. \f[#|Shanna]\f[#|Juno]
  206. \s[#]
  207. Big Sister Juno!|
  208.
  209. \s[#]
  210. Shanna?|/n
  211. Why are you here?|
  212.
  213. \s[#]
  214. I've been in the Etrurian Army.|/n
  215. I was surprised when I heard that/n
  216. Edessa got taken by Bern,/n
  217. but I knew yo'd be okay!|
  218.
  219. \s[#]
  220. Oh?|/n
  221. And why do you say that?|
  222.
  223. \s[#]
  224. You were captain of the Fleet!|/n
  225. There's no way Bern could defeat you.|
  226.
  227. \s[#]
  228. Thank you.|/n
  229. Well, you’ll be sorry to hear/n
  230. that I was captured.|
  231.
  232. \s[#]
  233. Well, that's...|
  234.
  235. \s[#]
  236. But I won't stay defeated by Bern for long.|/n
  237. On my own, all I could do was/n
  238. rescue the people in the castle/n
  239. but if i joined you, I could/n
  240. fight Bern as well.|
  241.
  242. \s[#]
  243. Then are you going to/n
  244. fight with us?|
  245.
  246. \s[#]
  247. Yes.|
  248.
  249. \s[#]
  250. Really? Yes!|
  251.
  252. \s[#]
  253. Does that make you/n
  254. so excited?|
  255.
  256. \s[#]
  257. Yes!|/n
  258. I became a Pegasus Knight because/n
  259. I wanted to be like you.|/n
  260. Fighting alongside you is like/n
  261. a dream.|
  262.
  263. \s[#]
  264. My my...|/n
  265. Well, you always did tend to/n
  266. go overboard with things...|
  267.
  268. ## Talk Thea Juno
  269. \f[#|Thea]\f[#|Juno]
  270. \s[#]
  271. Juno!|
  272.
  273. \s[#]
  274. Thea...|/n
  275. What are you doing here?|
  276.
  277. \s[#]
  278. It's a long story...|/n
  279. But anyway,/n
  280. I'm with the Etrurian Army now.|/n
  281. I heard that Edessa had fallen to/n
  282. Bern, and I was worried, but...|/n
  283. I'm glad to see that you are/n
  284. still all right.|
  285.
  286. \s[#]
  287. ... I thought you were originally/n
  288. fighting for the army that was/n
  289. fighting against this Etrurian Army.|
  290. You didn't...|
  291.
  292. \s[#]
  293. No!|/n
  294. I didn't go against the Ilian/n
  295. Mercenary Code.|/n
  296. I fulfilled my duties as a/n
  297. mercenary, and then joined the/n
  298. Etrurian Army.|
  299.
  300. \s[#]
  301. Of course...|/n
  302. You're a good and diligent girl.|/n
  303. You wouldn't do something like that.|/n
  304. I'm sorry.|
  305.
  306. \s[#]
  307. No, it's all right...|/n
  308. And um...|/n
  309. What are you wearing?|
  310.
  311. \s[#]
  312. This?|/n
  313. Why, this is my Military/n
  314. Outfit, as you very well know.|/n
  315. Well,/n
  316. what do you think?|
  317. Don't you think I can still go on/n
  318. as Pegasus Knight Fleet Captain?|
  319.
  320. \s[#]
  321. But I thought/n
  322. you retired.|
  323.
  324. \s[#]
  325. I can't be saying that in this/n
  326. time of emergency!|/n
  327. On my own all I could do was/n
  328. rescue the people in the castle,/n
  329. but if I joined you, I could fight/n
  330. against Bern as well.|
  331.
  332. \s[#]
  333. So you're going/n
  334. to fight alongside us?|
  335.
  336. \s[#]
  337. Yes.|
  338.
  339. \s[#]
  340. Yes!|/n
  341. I never thought I could fight/n
  342. Alongside you again.|
  343.
  344. \s[#]
  345. Don't get cocky now.|/n
  346. I haven't gotten too rusty yet either!|
  347.
  348. ## Talk Zealot Juno
  349. \f[#|Zealot]\f[#|Juno]
  350. \s[#]
  351. Juno!|
  352.
  353. \s[#]
  354. Zealot!|
  355.
  356. \s[#]
  357. Are you all right?|/n
  358. You're not hurt?|/n
  359. They didn't do anything/n
  360. terrible to you?
  361.
  362. \s[#]
  363. Oh Zealot, I am no child.|/n
  364. I am the ex-captain of the/n
  365. Pegasus Knight Fleet, you know.|
  366.
  367. \s[#]
  368. That's true,/n
  369. but...|
  370.
  371. \s[#]
  372. I'm all right.|/n
  373. I'm not hurt or anything.|
  374.
  375. \s[#]
  376. Good...|
  377.
  378. \s[#]
  379. Why are you in the/n
  380. Etrurian Army?|/n
  381. I thought you were with/n
  382. the Lycia Alliance.|
  383.
  384. \s[#]
  385. Well,/n
  386. it's a long story...|/n
  387. Anyways, this is the Etrurian Army/n
  388. only by name.|/n
  389. It is actually made up of troops/n
  390. from the Lycia Alliance Army.|
  391.
  392. \s[#]
  393. Oh... I see.|
  394.
  395. \s[#]
  396. I'm sorry.|/n
  397. I couldn't be at the castle/n
  398. when i was needed the most...|
  399.
  400. \s[#]
  401. There is no point in/n
  402. dwelling on the past.|
  403.
  404. \s[#]
  405. But you had to go/n
  406. out and fight...|
  407.
  408. \s[#]
  409. Oh?|/n
  410. Don't you like my Fleet Captain outfit?|
  411.
  412. \s[#]
  413. Of course!|/n
  414. But...|
  415.
  416. \s[#]
  417. Then there is no problem.|/n
  418. You'll be seeing a/n
  419. lot more of it from now on...|
  420.
  421. \s[#]
  422. What?|/n
  423. Do you mean...|
  424.
  425. \s[#]
  426. Yes.|/n
  427. I will fight alongside you as well.|
  428.
  429. \s[#]
  430. No! No no no.|/n
  431. You retired long ago.|/n
  432. So just leave the fighting/n
  433. to us...|
  434.
  435. \s[#]
  436. Even after I retired,/n
  437. I had to fight anyway.|/n
  438. Zealot, there is no safe/n
  439. place in the world anymore.|
  440.
  441. \s[#]
  442. Well...|
  443.
  444. \s[#]
  445. So I will fight,/n
  446. o I can help bring a time of/n
  447. peace all the more quickly.|
  448.
  449. ## Vs Roartz
  450. \f[#|Roartz]
  451. \s[#]
  452. S-Someone!|/n
  453. Come and defend me!|/n
  454. It is all over if I am hurt!|
  455.
  456. ## Vs Roartz (with Douglas)
  457. \f[#|Roartz] \f[#|Douglas]
  458. \s[#]
  459. Douglas...hmph!|/n
  460. After all that you said,/n
  461. You too are following/n
  462. those with power!|
  463.
  464. \s[#]
  465. Perhaps it may seem that way/n
  466. from the outside. But there is/n
  467. no hesitation in my/n
  468. heart now.|
  469.
  470. \s[#]
  471. Silence!|/n
  472. I've had just about enough/n
  473. of you. Die here!|
  474.
  475. ## Roartz Defeated
  476. \f[#|Roartz]
  477. \s[#]
  478. W-Wait...|/n
  479. Be my servant!|/n
  480. It is still not too late.../n
  481. I shall... forgive your crime/n
  482. of turning your blade.../n
  483. toward me... Guh..!|
  484.
  485. ## Outro 1
  486. \g[Castle]
  487. \f[#|Roy]\w[16]
  488. \f[#|Merlinus]
  489. \s[#]
  490. Next is Bern...|
  491.
  492. \s[#]
  493. Master Roy!|/n
  494. Part of Bern's army is hiding in the/n
  495. ruins on the outskirts of Edessa!|
  496.
  497. \s[#]
  498. Ruins?|
  499.
  500. \s[#]
  501. Yes. They say that in it/n
  502. lies a spear that was used/n
  503. during the Dragon-Human wars.|
  504.
  505. \s[#]
  506. What! That spear...|
  507.
  508. \s[#]
  509. It is most probably a Divine Weapon.|
  510.
  511. \s[#]
  512. We must hurry to the ruins!|
  513.
  514. ## Outro 3
  515. \g[Castle]
  516. \f[#|Villager Lady]\w[16]
  517. \f[#|Old Woman]
  518. \f[#|Guinevere]
  519. \s[#]
  520. Excuse me...|
  521.
  522. \s[#]
  523. Yes...?|
  524.
  525. \s[#]
  526. Are you the one who saved us?|
  527.
  528. \s[#]
  529. No, I am...|
  530.
  531. \s[#]
  532. Thank you!|/n
  533. Thanks to you, we can now stand/n
  534. here safely.|/n
  535. Please accept this token of our/n
  536. gratitude.|
  537.
  538. \s[#]
  539. Thank you!|
  540.
  541. \s[#]
  542. .....|/n
  543. I shall hand this to Roy....|
  544.
  545. ## Scene 2
  546. \g[Castle]
  547. \f[#|Roy]\w[16]
  548. \f[#|Guinevere]
  549. \s[#]
  550. Princess Guinevere,/n
  551. we will attack Bern now.|/n
  552. So may I ask...|
  553.
  554. \s[#]
  555. ... The rest of the story.|
  556.
  557. \s[#]
  558. King Zephiel was an outstanding pupil/n
  559. in his studies, he was skilled in Warcraft...|/n
  560. He grew to be the perfect heir for the king.|
  561.
  562. \s[#]
  563. That is correct.|
  564.
  565. \s[#]
  566. But still the former king/n
  567. did not look kindly at him.|
  568.
  569. \s[#]
  570. In fact...|/n
  571. Our father began to hate Zephiel/n
  572. because he grew to become such a/n
  573. brilliant and worthy youth.|
  574.
  575. \s[#]
  576. What...|/n
  577. is that supposed to mean...?|
  578.
  579. \s[#]
  580. Our father was a man of ordinary/n
  581. skill and intellect.|/n
  582. Therefore, Zephiel's outstanding skill/n
  583. made our father cold towards him.|
  584.
  585. \s[#]
  586. Jealousy...?|
  587.
  588. \s[#]
  589. And then one day, our father/n
  590. told Zephiel that 'the next heir to/n
  591. Bern would be Guinevere's husband.'|/n
  592.
  593. \s[#]
  594. What?!|/n
  595. That's awful!|
  596.
  597. \s[#]
  598. But Zephiel was very patient.|/n
  599. He said that he did not mind even if/n
  600. he did not gain the throne.|/n
  601. But the people around us, who were/n
  602. looking forward to Zephiel's ability/n
  603. to be a good king, would not allow/n
  604. anyone else to be the heir.|/n
  605. Pressured by the public, our father/n
  606. lost his patience at last, and...|
  607.
  608. \s[#]
  609. Decided to kill King Zephiel...|
  610.
  611. \s[#]
  612. At a banquet, our father gave Zephiel/n
  613. a poisoned drink from his own hands.|/n
  614. And that was the first and last cup/n
  615. that Zephiel ever took from our father.|/n
  616. After returning to his room, Zephiel/n
  617. started to get sick.|/n
  618. For 10 days and nights, Zephiel lingered/n
  619. between life and death.|/n
  620. But Murdock, Zephiel's teacher and/n
  621. loyal General, saved his life.|
  622.
  623. \s[#]
  624. ... The former king never did/n
  625. anything after that?|
  626.
  627. \s[#]
  628. No...|/n
  629. But I have heard that he had plans/n
  630. to get rid of Murdock and Zephiel's/n
  631. mother as traitors.|/n
  632. He was scheming to murder them all/n
  633. along with Zephiel.|/n
  634. After hearing that, Zephiel made/n
  635. believe he was dead.|/n
  636. Our father then checked the coffin to/n
  637. confirm Zephiel's death.|/n
  638. At that moment, Zephiel rose up from/n
  639. the coffin and...with his sword...|
  640.
  641. \s[#]
  642. .....|
  643.
  644. \s[#]
  645. I was but a child then, so/n
  646. naturally I could not have understood/n
  647. what was going on. All I knew/n
  648. is that after our father died, Zephiel/n
  649. never smiled again. Until then, he was/n
  650. strict at times, but he was always a kind/n
  651. and loving brother to me. So...|
  652.
  653. \s[#]
  654. Princess...|
  655.
  656. ]s[#]
  657. So I...from the bottom of my heart,/n
  658. I felt that Zephiel can change, that he/n
  659. can become that loving brother again. I.../n
  660. had to take action.|
  661.
  662. \s[#]
  663. I...see...|
  664.
  665. \s[#]
  666. ...But now, my brother is in a place/n
  667. where my words cannot reach him.|/n
  668. Roy, please... Please stop him.|/n
  669. Please stop him from inflicting pain and/n
  670. suffering to the people of Bern.../n
  671. and the rest of Elibe.|
  672.
  673. \s[#]
  674. Even if it may resolve to the blade?|
  675.
  676. \s[#]
  677. ...I have made my resolve when/n
  678. I entrusted this task to you.|
  679.
  680. \s[#]
  681. I see. You have my word and loyalty,/n
  682. Princess Guinevere. I swear on the Fire/n
  683. Emblem that I will stop King Zephiel!|
