  1. The Foundations of Humanity
  2.
  3. Thousands of years ago, soon before the genesis of modern humanity and an advanced consciousness, a lucky race of monkeys discovered two things. Linguistics and technology.
  4. Linguistics, technology and self-awareness are the 3 barriers between humanity and simple primates. The ability to communicate, to innovate and to introspect.
  5. Linguistics is the basis of communication, of which was required for the others to progress to a noticeable amount. Linguistics, in both an auditory and visual form are simply the basis of communities, without communication we have no communities, and therefore advancement of humanity would have been halted.
  6. Technology is what has allowed us to innovate and express ourselves, as well as fill in the voids of humanity, such as massive computational power, or the ability to remember much more than an average human can, and all of those abilities are contained within basic computing technology. Now, of course there are much simpler technologies such as engines, even ramps or pulleys, but computing technologies are the current peak of technology.
  7. Self-Awareness is the ability to introspect, and to view oneself or one’s world from a view other than your own. Without self-awareness, humanity would have never got a good grasp upon philosophy or writing, or even just a good view upon society. Without that said philosophy, we wouldn’t be able to unify, and we would also have to use self-awareness in combination with linguistics to be able to use technology, and to work together as a whole.
  8. Those 3 barriers are what keep us conscious and what makes us human. In my personal opinion, humanity should cling to these and advance them with everything that we have. Those are what simply make us human. Those are what make us, us.
