Calhad – Confederacy Military Leader. Human male. Models himself as a hero, drawing from warrior myths of ancient earth. Has a large staff of make up artists, cameramen, and spin doctors who maintain this appearance. Has a habit of showing up after the fighting is done and using cheap tricks, all covered up by his propaganda department.

Dana Stepford – Confederacy Propaganda Agent. Human female (clone). She maintains a constant smile and upbeat attitude by being incredibly selective with the truths she recognises. Genuinely wants people to be happy, a desire which has been distorted into enforcing this at all costs. Uses brain scanning technology to torture people by making them relive their worst memories. Is adept enough at mental gymnastics to reconcile this with her desire to make people happy.

Revolver Butterfly – Human Female. Private eye who genuinely cares about people but constantly fights the temptation to disappear into escapism and drugs. The suffering of the world affects her greatly and she's unable to find any joy without turning her back on it and forgetting about it's existence. Yet she perseveres and faces it almost everyday to try to do some good by reuniting scattered refuge families or delivering justice.

Vectra aka Mother Plague – Unknown. Host of a cloud of dangerous microscopic organisms. May be the original host or a hivemind of the microscopic organisms she refers to as her children and family. Her goals are keeping her family safe and finding new warm bodies to take care of them

Cypthia – Human female, Project Martian alumni. An extremely proactive mercenary that creates jobs by escalating conflicts herself. She'll go beyond her paid assignments just to make sure the other side won't make peace and stir up existing hatreds. Embraces the fact she was made for war and that is her purpose. Reacts to opposition by stubbornly becoming more entrenched and extreme in her own views to prevent herself being tricked with words. Is really waiting for orders for a greater mission and is reverting to her current warmongering a default state. Also has a huge paranoia streak.

Tik Tak – Birdperson female. Refuge displaced from most of her own people. A story teller at heart and looks for narrative causality in other people's tales... giving a gently nudge if needed. Looking to find an adoptive family amongst people that tend form camaraderie with each other – like spaceship crews for example.

Alpard – Alien male. Scientist travelling the outer planets. Earnestly enthusiastic about the things he loves but sensitive to mockery. Very big on safety.

Cordia – God like higher energy being. A creature supposedly incapable of love and in turn doesn't believe in it's existence. Plays a great game of trying to prove this by highlighting selfishness and turning people against each other. Actively hurt by the power of friendship. According to her, the rest of her people killed themselves in some damn fool quest at seeking true enlightenment

Zeke – Human female. The faithless Zealot. A traveller of the outer planets. A highly religious person concerned with the state of her soul and the afterlife, yet cannot bring herself to truly Believe  in it. Not in any form that she's encountered at any rate, so she travels looking for something that resonates with her. Actually angry at a lot of injustices in the universe and may possibly still be shaking off brainwashing.
