  1. First off, this is a suggestion from someone lacking the skill to make it himself. I am not a developer for SPV3, nor do I have any former Halo modding or game design experience. I'm just a fan with an idea.

  3.
  4. So today I was thinking about the old Open Sauce release trailers and remembered that AI boarding mechanic.
  5.
  6. That got me thinking about Hunter assassinations. Hunters already had their place in the SPV3 sandbox and seemed a little small and not quite important enough in a fight to have their own special takedown. I thought about Halo Wars 2's lekgolo leader which, iirc, is a 2-in-1 Hunter. I'm thinking this unit could be about twice the height of a normal Hunter or more.
  7.
  8. How will the takedown be initiated? The player can bullet-sponge the Lekgolo's unarmored joints and exposed bits between armor plates until it reaches a weakened behavior state. Meanwhile, it is attempting to protect said weak points with its massive shield. Alternatively, the player can chuck a gravity grenade or fire a charged Void Tear near it, causing the (placeholder enemy) to lockdown to prevent itself from being pushed or pulled off balance by the gravitational force, similar to Halo Wars' Rhinos and Cobras. When the Lekgolo is occupied, it becomes open to AI/actor boarding. The player interacts with the Lekgolo, triggering a thrid person animation showing the player climb up onto the Lekgolo's back. From there, the player can jam a primed grenade (preferably another gravity grenade) into the Lekgolo's exposed back (armor was destroyed) or neck, leading to the Lekgolo being destroyed from the inside. I imagine a big, gaping hole in the corpse e.g. DOOM 2016's mancubi.
  9.
  10. Where will it be used? The Lekgolo will be best suited in large areas where it's hulking mass will have plenty of room to fight and maneuver. If used near Halo's Control Room, it could be dropped in the way a wraith is transported.
  11.
  12. How dangerous is it? I believe this Lekgolo unit's firepower should be enough to handle an unskilled Scorpion or two on its own, but not so deadly that a player on foot wouldn't stand a chance. It can swap its cannon from FR launcher to FR beam to shade cannon in combat to adapt to different scenarios. Maybe not feasible unless tied to behavior states like elites' primary and sword/voids tear. As stated earlier, the Lekgolo will be armed with a massive shield to protect itself.
  13.
  14. What will it be called? I've considered Siege, Bastion, Predator, Stalker, Apex, Lone Hunter, Titan, etc.
