  1. [12:31] Acantho says, "YOU TWO."
  2. [12:31] Acantho points at both of them!
  3. (Acantho)
  4. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  5.
  6. [12:32] Lycoris Aubreen says, "Hello Director."
  7. [12:32] Lycoris Aubreen asks, "Do you need of us?"
  8. [12:32] Acantho says, "Yes."
  9. [12:32] Acantho says, "We will work now on AT-1."
  10. [12:32] Acantho says, "Runes."
  11. [12:33] 3-A-0C says, "Very well."
  12. [12:33] Lycoris Aubreen says, "I bought the second room in front of mine for medical researches."
  13. [12:36] Reaching the depths of the lab, they moved down to the bay - where hanging by numerous cables and other means of security, was AT-1! A colossal animunculi, far larger than any seen, however..
  14.
  15. Just the skeleton of this one.
  16.
  17. "Today we will be creating this beauty's rune system, we will use that." A pause, he clapped twice and from tubes on the wall, the drones appeared!
  18.
  19. As expected.
  20.
  21. Carrying crates that contained orichalcum, an exorbitant amount of the metal, which they could turn into dust and then use in the construction of the runic system! Which mainly, should be done by Acantho since he was a golemcrafter.
  22.
  23. But also 0C! Aubreen would help though.
  24.
  25. As needed.
  26.
  27. "Let's get started, we don't have time to waste." He said already bringing his drones to start turning the material into dust.
  28. (Acantho)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [12:47] The construct follows along behind its creator without any additional words spoken, reaching the construction site for AT-1 in short order. Once there, it would begin to speak, several drones of its own designs materializing in a flash of emerald light next to it.
  32.
  33. "It will be providing the runes necessary for the process."
  34.
  35. The golem was a living library of runic knowledge, from those used in simple artificing, more advanced glyphs used in runecasting, the complex, micro-runes found in golemcraft, the one's written on the Pantheon's own armaments, Sluthian sigils of draconic origin, even those not native to Eternia itself, among many, many other examples.
  36.
  37. Its own mastery of the art could be put to full use for this step in the procedure. A burst of static binary is emitted outward to its drones and they spread along the area, taking up positions of command, to direct the others in the most efficient method it saw.
  38.
  39. Two drones of the golem's making are allotted to the two organics, references for rune-writing appearing in front of them in gilded, holographic light. As they work, they would have the golem's full knowledge to aid them, offering advice, suggested sigils, possible changes one can make to their runewriting to increase their effectiveness.
  40.
  41. All the while the construct works itself, its claws cutting through the air in front it at a rapid pace as runes are written, the drones copying the examples shown and recreating it on the specific portion of metal, all as directed by the greater golem.
  42.
  43. It would be quite the extravagant spending of Orichalcum, but, hopefully, it will be worth it.
  44. (3-A-0C)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [12:51] A brief pause was taken while the being stood behind the Director with their eyes traveling in the same direction as the being. The crystalline soon shrank as it came into contact with the enormous Golem, which caused the eyelids to quickly unseal.
  48.
  49. "...Impressive." He asserts this as his lips swallow the air that has been circulating about him. "Hmm.." As he moved to stand behind the Director, a muttering tune could be heard emitted from his closed lips.
  50.
  51. One by one, the person's feet were raised off the ground. Moving in the direction of where the drones were when the boxes were being removed, assisting with the opening of those boxes and helping move them. The young child was responsible with isolating the orichalcum and the several other components that were necessary for the undertaking, placing them in close proximity so they were able to be used.
  52.
  53. A hand moved toward the boxes that had been strategically placed around the area. The corners of his mouth turned upwards into the shape of a smirk, and he would focus his attention on the vicinity of the boxes while keeping one hand behind his back and the other palm facing the boxes. Any conceivable dust that was brought along by the boxes would begin to flow into luminous molecules, which would then be forced together into a ball by a wave of the same controlling hand.
  54.
  55. The manifestation of the Aubreen's control over a method that could manipulate dust in a manner analogous to how other people used sand.
  56.
  57. "Would you like me to register the process after it has been completed?" He was still interested in learning more about the potential runes that could be used in the process. After all, it was the boy's primary form of research at this point.
  58. (Lycoris Aubreen)
  59. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  60.
  61. [13:01] Through his numerous drones, the scientist then began to collect the materials brought and such, were transformed into powders by his creations. With the powders now in access, he floated around the huge construct and slowly analyzed it.
  62.
  63. Took a few mental notes.
  64.
  65. Before he began working on the arms of AT-1! Creating the runic system, using the drones for this as necessary - as these were an extension of it and could cover a greater area, better than the scientist.
  66.
  67. As expected.
  68.
  69. "0C, while I'm working on the arms, make the leg runes and connections - create runes for movement and everything else in the area, connecting them all the way to the chest.
  70.
  71. Once this one is over, we will work together, as we will make the connections we will need to the core within the chest." Explaining this, the scientist then made one more gesture.
  72.
  73. In this, drones brought extra crates, containing copper ingots.. Which then received a gesture. While thescientist's bluish gaze falls on the figure of Lycoris.
  74.
  75. Who should work as well.
  76.
  77. "You can, but I want you to turn those ingots into filaments, wires as well - it will be necessary... And we'll need a lot! The drones shall help you.
  78.
  79. So worry not." With that informed, he refocused on his task.
  80.
  81. Runes were created, one intertwined with the other - runes that would allow arm movement, mana flow and hand control - as well as the weapons that this colossal being would have! It was all thought of in the planning, now being executed.
  82.
  83. Quite the sight.
  84.
  85. And such runes went from the palm of the hand, inside the skeleton - to the 'shoulders', since he would need to interconnect everything in the end, for the complete functioning of that creation, which could certainly be his last before retirement.
  86. (Acantho)
  87. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  88.
  89. [13:11] "Understood."
  90.
  91. The construct barks out another burst of static binary to its own drones, their movements shifting lower to focus on the legs, as ordered. Directed energy sears into the metal plating of the skeletal system they last created, augmentative runes welded into specific locations, loci points to focus and enhance the surrounding sigils.
  92.
  93. Its technique is rather complex, each and every portion of the titan's lower half kept in focus at once, runes on complete opposite ends from each other made with every other point in mind, a magical formation crafted on the large-scale to further facilitate movement.
  94.
  95. Each string of magical formula acts similarly to a tendon within a body, each line of runic script written to grant this massive construct a method of movement despite their size. Runes to lesson the effect of gravity on it, glyphs to deposit a portion of its actual size within an unseen pocket dimension, sigils to see it held aloft by concentrated winds pushing from behind, among many, many other examples.
  96.
  97. Once the larger, visible runes are completed, the legs fully encased in arcane texts, work on the smaller scale begins, tiny beams of directed energy emitted out from the working drones. Micro-runes are carved in the space between larger texts, laser-carved onto the surface of the metal, small bits of binding information to connect the various enchantments the golem has written into the metals.
  98.
  99. Soon, its attention shifts away from its completed work and towards Acantho, monitoring their own progress on the arms and seeing if they were ready to combine their work when they move on to the chest area.
  100. (3-A-0C)
  101. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  102.
  103. [13:19] A nod is given in the direction of Acantho.
  104. Inquisitive glances were sent in the direction of 3-A-OC and the Director as he began to gather the ingots that were handed to him. He was inspecting their work. While he tells the Drones to stay in place, they are wandering around the area. A smirk is drawn across his face as he gives a slight nod in his direction.
  105.
  106. "I'll get that taken care of then, Director."
  107.
  108. The ingots that were taken by the youngster, who then used the drones to process them in the same way as a human would place runes on the floor. A drawing of a circle was made to make an array, which enabled him to process the rune in the correct manner. The drones channeling it to help with the cleaning and arrangement of the circles before the boy started.
  109.
  110. Orichalcum, which is easier to manipulate than other ores, would be treated with transmutation runes as the fingers draw over each one to position them into rolls of thread like filaments. A twitch of his fingers as the drones pass him the ingot.
  111.
  112. The hand brushed against the edge of it as the runes devoured the ingots that were being held in place by the drones. Molecules consuming their surroundings until everything is reduced to a series of narrow lines. They must be thin enough to be handled, and then two of those must be forged together into spinning cycles, all in an effort to prevent the metal from shattering even in the most extreme of the shapes.
  113. (Lycoris Aubreen)
  114. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  115.
  116. [13:28] With the runes made in the arms, then the scientist moved to the chest! A signal was given in the direction of 0C before they would then begin work on the chest, which was the second most delicate as they would have to connect the arms and legs to this area.
  117.
  118. As well as making the runes that would store and distribute the mana, as well as controlling the ones in the core!
  119.
  120. And without delay, he did so! Once more, working with his drones to start transcribing the runes, from top to center - while his animunculi could go from bottom to center.
  121.
  122. As exepcted.
  123.
  124. "Once you make a good amount of wires, Lycoris, order the drones to make the wiring systems in the legs and arms, as well as the head - connect them to the center of the chest, where there is a frame.
  125.
  126. It will be the core site, the source of power." With that informed, he continues his step..
  127.
  128. Using his old knowledge, however the most advanced he had - about golemcrafting runes. Thus making something that could connect everything, while making that colossal structure, a living entity.
  129.
  130. Or nearly so.
  131. (Acantho)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133.
  134. [13:39] The construct continues directing the drones under its control once work on the chest area begins, writing in tandem with its creator to finish this portion of runecrafting in good time.
  135.
  136. Focus shifts away from weight optimization and speed towards more defensive runes, sigils to further focus the speed in which mana travels through this area, glyphs to add a layer of metaphysical protection against oncoming magical attacks, strings of runic formula to give the skeletal system here resistance beyond the natural limit for this specific alloy of metal.
  137.
  138. It works from bottom to top, soon joining together with its own creator's runewriting. Flourishes of magical text are crafted together, the differing methods of arcane writing made to harmonize with one another for a greater effect than if they were all made by the same hand.
  139.
  140. Soon enough, however, the process completes, the entirety of the titan's skeletal system, save the head, engraved and marked with a dense system of runic formula, a large-scale magical method that sees every part compliment the next, even those distant from the original set of runic text.
  141.
  142. Its optic scans through their work so far, highlighting bits of slightly flawed sigils, corrections made in short order, a sort of magical proofreading to ensure everything works as designed. Its optic soon flicks back to Acantho, awaiting any further orders.
  143. (3-A-0C)
  144. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  145.
  146. [13:40] Drones grabbing the filaments, flying around the air with them.
  147. The boy would turn towards the work the two were doing, as he awaited the procedure he would move his fingers in the areas that were already finished, adjusting himself the wires as the drones started to place them.
  148.
  149. The drones moved like an organized colony, placing the wires around the spaces to completely connect the upper and lower half of the massive drone, a lengthy process.
  150.
  151. As the fingers would move quickly organizing them and connection them, the boy would draw minor runes over the cables itself. Endurance and flexibility, keeping the cables mobile without them being harmed by the movement of the drones, nor they would cease to the time so easily.
  152.
  153. A golden glow surrounding each rune that was placed as he moves from the ankles towards the knees, then thighs and then towards the chest. Connecting knots placed between important areas to keep them flexible.
  154.
  155. As then he would move to writeeach step before another order was given.
  156. (Lycoris Aubreen)
  157. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  158.
  159. [13:49] With runes and threads done, now there was only one last thing left of this stage! And in which, the scientist personally moved towards the head, inside there and then began to make runes!
  160.
  161. As needed.
  162.
  163. "Now to conclude, the system of the mind." The being commented, while dust was caught in hands..
  164.
  165. Then, the start was given.
  166.
  167. And runes were made. Control, vision, information storage and other things - something that each one of these alone did nothing, but together made a working system! Basically, a circuit that would give that entity's mind, however..
  168.
  169. This one would still follow the commands of Acantho.
  170.
  171. It was a brain, a golem one.
  172.
  173. "0C, can you explain to Lycoris what the mind of an animunculi is like while we're here." He would order his creation as he worked..
  174.
  175. Connecting everything, making the runes one by one - detail by detail, as needed. This was the most delicate part, the one that needed the most attention from the scientist - who provided it.
  176.
  177. And soon, it would be ready.
  178. (Acantho)
  179. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  180.
  181. [14:01] "Very well."
  182.
  183. Its attentions shifts over towards Lycoris, its synthesized voice chiming on moments later as it dives into the topic on the request of its creator.
  184.
  185. "An Animcunuli's mind is made of many parts, such as the different lobes of an organic's brain. A main matrix is first made and then a collection of ten additional modules are connected to it.
  186.
  187. These are referred to as 'data-vaults'."
  188.
  189. The golem's hand rises and it materializes in its grasp a hovering image of a small piece of machinery, a metal casing built around several stacks of crystal wafers, each inscribed with an incredibly dense array of runic formula.
  190.
  191. "The main logical matrix is what houses the sapience and intelligence of the Animunculi while the data-vaults contains memory, varying from minute details to complex methods of casting.
  192.
  193. Essentially, everything that the construct has learned is kept there. For safety reasons, these are spread throughout the golem's frame and heavily fortified. Frequent back-ups of the memory are made and stored temporarily in the main logical matrix incase of the loss of a data-vault.
  194.
  195. Following this event, the golem can return to the Vault and receive repairs and a replacement data-vault, the information transferred to the replacement. Without this, it can lead to memory loss."
  196.
  197. It continues to explain how the mind 'worked' but, soon enough, it shifts to what it was like to operate with a mind such as its own.
  198.
  199. "The larger, more complex mind of an Animunculi such as itself functions at speeds beyond organic thought. Each action taken is performed manually, but, as it has a far more developed mind than its biological counterpart, this is not a strain to its system.
  200.
  201. For example; to raise its arm, it sends an order to thirty-seven different runic arrays spread throughout its shoulder and limb. While it is doing so, it is currently calculating the optimal method to continue its research on the Orgonite Materializer, the correct environment to grow the sapling acquired on its latest expedition, the predicted weather patterns to occur within northern Meranthe within the next three months, among other, more minor thought processes."
  202.
  203. It puts things into scale for the organic, a peek into the ever-active mind of the machine.
  204.
  205. "Do you have any further queries?"
  206. (3-A-0C)
  207. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  208.
  209. [14:21] The motor of the animunculi.
  210. The boy would stare in silence as the listens to the extensive explanation given by 3-A-0C, words that navigated his mind like a flow of river, easily acceptable as his face remained unchanging, while index and thumb pressured the shaft of the pen to write the procedure into pages, followed by charts and drawings.
  211.
  212. The comparison between organic and material, different in every aspect except in function. As the hoovering image is shown the boy would draw with different lines pointing out the usual parts of it for his further studies.
  213.
  214. "Awesome.." As he was impressed, his young voice could only say those words as he let his mind fly with the explanation. Quickly taken numbers and parts that he registered.
  215.
  216. How many times have he spoke with 3-A-OC? A being that has being a guidance to him, but now he could understand it even turning towards him to stare he could imagine the parts inside of him being forged. Among golems that most successful creation, without a doubt oen that has inherited the will of the Institute and take it further. The second greatest mind perhaps only surpassed by Acantho own that was able to make him when it comes to the creativity of thinking, yet build in ways so mechanically.
  217.
  218. Turning towards AT-01 he would tilt his head. A model that seemed different in motives than 3-A-OC. A being that could probably go further than them, and than the others. Each one with more options to growth but even then to this day no one like him.
  219.
  220. "Have anyone attempted to fix the parts of an animunculi into an adapted human body?" A tilt of his head curious, eager to learn more and to explore waters that have yet to be discovered.
  221.
  222. "It's impressive how its divisions allow different procedures at the same time. A human mind is considered impressive when able to do one task correctly, prodigious when it can do two massive tasks at the same time but after it then it just rare cases that only happen every few times in history, but for a Animunculi it's a much easier step."
  223.
  224. The difference between the two noticeable. An ally that in certain aspects could surpass that of their own creators.
  225. (Lycoris Aubreen)
  226. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  227.
  228. [14:32] While the explanation was provided by 0C, the scientist continued to work.. The inner matrix of the skull of the last animunculi to be created, an advanced system, a unique system.. That would make thoughts, actions and everything possible.
  229.
  230. Just as would it keep this one connected to his creator, Acantho.
  231.
  232. "The closest we have to human-like beings are the 3-A models, you can see those there - as up until now, there's never been a reason to create ones that resemble one.
  233.
  234. Maybe one day we might lose some time to do so." He shrugged, his voice echoing from afar due to the fact that he was inside the animunculi.
  235.
  236. The work was time consuming...But little by little he completed it! And then, after a lot of creating runes - finally something was done! And so, the 'brain' that would make the entire runic system work in the future was created.
  237.
  238. And now, they could rest.
  239.
  240. "That... will be enough, I appreciate the help of both today, we are getting closer and closer to completing this project." The man leapt down and joined them.
  241.
  242. And with that, one more step was done.
  243. (Acantho)
