- Silas stood there staring at a portal, it glowed and hummed quietly in front of him. He took a sip from his warm drink before he sighed, portals made him nervous and an anxious for some kind of reason, he never knew why but he heavily preferred to avoid using them. Unfortunately for him, today wasn't one of those day where it was an option to not use a portal to commute for work, he had to be in a specific location that was hard to reach without using a portal and he had to be there soon, it wasn't that urgent but it was urgent enough.
- He nervously tapped his foot impatiently, he really didn't want to go through the portal so he started stalling for time, he wanted to calm down a bit before he went through it. he continued tapping his foot nervously as he growled, he couldn't keep stalling for time anymore so he slowly walked into the portal as he got teleported to the location that he needed to be in. The teleportation wasn't as smooth as before and the portal spat him out harshly, he had been thrown out to the other side and landed on the ground with a thud, he growled more as he laid there, covered in dirt and dust from hitting the ground, he slowly stood up and dusted himself off. He turned around and stared at his spilled drink on the ground, he was pretty annoyed by that, so annoyed that he wanted to kick the portal frame but he didn't have his boots on that day and he wasn't going to kick a hard cold metal frame which could definitely break a few bones or at least hurt him. He continued to dust himself off as he walked ahead, he took his radio off his shoulder and spoke into it, trying to reach his coworker but there was no answer, only static.
- Silas tried again, calling into the radio a second and third time but no one replied, it was just static. Silas felt a bit uneasy now, something was definitely off about all of this and he felt a weird tension in the air as he slowly made his way through this area, taking small, slow steps as he took his gun out of its hustler, he was preparing himself for something bad to happen, his instinct just told him to put his guard up and be cautious and he was listening to it. Suddenly out of nowhere, something broke through the surroundings, stones and other materials flew in all directions as Silas tried his best to get out of the way, startled by what just happened, he jumped out of the way and tried landing on his feet as he watched the debris stumble and the dust start to settle. A massive four legged creature stood on its legs and growled loudly, staring angrily at Silas, the creature was massive and deform, completely fitting the monster description especially with its sounds that it kept making. It roared at Silas before it charged at him, Silas hissed in surprise and began to sprint, running away from the creature as quickly as he could trying to avoid it, he couldn't use his gun at it yet due to him running away from it, he could use his magic against it as well but he needed to get his footing first before he tried going on the offensive against the creature.
- The thing clawed at him, trying its hardest to grab Silas and pin him down or something, it wanted to get him so bad, no matter what dodging tactic he pulled, the creature slowly followed behind. Silas ran ahead towards the portal as the creature slammed its massive claws on the ground, making it shake and tripping Silas, pushing him away from the portal as the creature continued to charge into the portal before slamming aggressively into it and breaking it in turn. The portal started overcharging before it let out a massive energy explosion knocking the creature away and burning the side of it in the process, the portal swirled and hissed loudly as it tried keeping its live force going before it shut off and started to crumble, smoke coming out from the top of it as sparks flew everywhere. Silas stood up and quickly moved further away from the portal, he luckily was knocked away from the portal and avoided the energy blast, he started climbing onto a large abandoned building so he had the high ground as he stared at the creature in the distance. The creature laid there on the ground growling quietly under its breath, it was injured but not dead, it somehow survived the explosion and was slowly gathering its energy to get up again. Silas hissed, preparing himself to fight the beast again, he knew he wasn't going to get out of this easily unfortunately and he wasn't so thrilled about it.
