  16. Ah, the stars are right. A most disturbing thing indeed. Apparently I am a Duke, now; amusing. Unfortunately the royalty has been subverted by Things From Beyond, and the Blood Moon never sets upon the British Empire. Of course, They are well aware of what I truly am, and they hunt me rather than letting me set down roots. My name carries weight in certain circles, of course, but I do not think They fear me. Rather more likely They are bemused by something equally Other but in a different way is present here.

  18. I spend the next several years working myself into being as great a thorn within their collective sides as I can. The stars may be right and the aeons strange, but there are certainly ways to change that and for mankind to take control over its fate once more. The consulting professor and his faithful companion nip at my heels around the world, as much as they nip at the heels of their rivals - and even moreso when I deliberately cross paths and see fit to ensure useful knowledge makes its way into their rivals' hands.

  20. The grand chase took everyone to the four corners of the globe, and culminated upon Niagra Falls, the waters running red with blood as they had for years. Right until they suddenly and abruptly didn't, the water fading to faint pink, then a crystal blue. Certainly the Professor knew at this moment that the stars were no longer right, but this only closed the door, it did not stop that which had already come through it.

  22. And it was at that point that the heavens lit up with hundreds of thousands of comets, as the Second Legion and its support fell to Earth and commenced to purge the taint of those from beyond the Outer Gates with extreme prejudice.
