  1. [6/15/2015 5:57:59 PM] Shrimp Noodle: I apologize if I've been making you feel like I hate you. I don't hate you, I've just haven't been feeling much like talking to people lately, and it seemed like a good idea to just take a bit of a break after everything that happened before. Hope you feel better, Scoots.
  2. [6/15/2015 5:58:42 PM] Scootie: WILL YOU STOP GIVING ME HEART ATTACKS!
  3. [6/15/2015 5:59:16 PM] Scootie: Now your the one doing all the ninja stuff
  4. [6/15/2015 5:59:27 PM] Scootie: I'm fine, it was just bad mood swings
  5. [6/15/2015 5:59:45 PM] Scootie: Everyone keeps saying I'm strong and then forget I actually have feelings too..
  6. [6/15/2015 6:04:48 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, I know how you feel with that. I guess it's easy to forget that everyone has their vulnerable moments, especially after a tense and emotional situation. And...sorry if I scared you with that last message.
  7. [6/15/2015 6:07:05 PM] Scootie: It's fine
  8. [6/15/2015 6:07:22 PM] Scootie: Durgon recently got into Monster Hunter, so I'm helping him hunt things
  9. [6/15/2015 6:08:22 PM] Shrimp Noodle: That's good, I'm sure he'll rise up through the ranks pretty quickly with you helping him out.
  10. [6/15/2015 6:08:58 PM] Scootie: I had also decided to close the NSFW account and just bring all of it to my main
  11. [6/15/2015 6:09:15 PM] Scootie: Because it's actually useless trying to maintain 2 accounts when i'm mostly on one
  12. [6/15/2015 6:11:54 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, I noticed when I checked my FA account for a bit. It makes sense; since you're already posting adult works online, you might as well keep them in your more active account.
  13. [6/15/2015 6:12:43 PM] Scootie: I suggest that should be your move with your account
  14. [6/15/2015 6:13:01 PM] Scootie: Because if you try to do It separately then it'll be nothing but chaos
  15. [6/15/2015 6:13:07 PM] Scootie: And your not one for that kind of thing
  16. [6/15/2015 6:14:28 PM] Scootie: Durgon is fast and ready to hunt things down!
  17. [6/15/2015 6:19:20 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Well, I haven't quite decided yet what I'd like to do with my account, since most of the adult art I do probably won't even involve most of my current original characters, and I don't want the characters I want to keep clean getting pulled into the dirty stuff.
  18. [6/15/2015 6:20:36 PM] Scootie: But they already are apart of it, can't go back now
  19. [6/15/2015 6:20:45 PM] Scootie: THE PATH HAS BEEN CHOOSEN
  20. [6/15/2015 6:25:08 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Well, noooot quite. XD I still kinda want there to be a clear separation between adult and clean stuff, especially since my biggest projects will be clean.
  21. [6/15/2015 6:25:57 PM] Scootie: Doesn't mean ya hands are clean >w>
  22. [6/15/2015 6:26:03 PM] Scootie: You are secretly dirty
  23. [6/15/2015 6:26:29 PM] Scootie: You shouldn't even have that clean artist icon on your page for how dirty you are
  24. [6/15/2015 6:26:40 PM | Edited 6:27:30 PM] Scootie: The faves already tell the whole story~
  25. [6/15/2015 6:33:04 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Just because my hands aren't clean, doesn't mean I want them to be dirty all the time. It's sad to say, but artists who give themselves entirely to their dirty thoughts and fetishes are usually the type who never plan to go any further with their art than just drawing fetish stuff.
  26. [6/15/2015 6:33:44 PM] Scootie: That's just an opinion
  27. [6/15/2015 6:33:46 PM] Scootie: Not a fact
  28. [6/15/2015 6:34:11 PM] Scootie: Some of the best animators started off making porn or drawing fetishes
  29. [6/15/2015 6:34:23 PM] Scootie: They gave in to those urges
  30. [6/15/2015 6:34:33 PM] Scootie: Yet, look were it ended up getting em.
  31. [6/15/2015 6:36:56 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, true. But people like that are still in the minority. There are a LOT of amazing artists on FA that will probably never do anything with their skills but draw smut because it's easy, really addictive, and can pay their bills.
  32. [6/15/2015 6:38:00 PM] Scootie: But aren't you drawing the same thing?
  33. [6/15/2015 6:38:11 PM] Scootie: Despite it not having the more mature scene
  34. [6/15/2015 6:38:18 PM] Scootie: It's still the same content
  35. [6/15/2015 6:38:29 PM] Scootie: Basically that's what they want, content
  36. [6/15/2015 6:44:04 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, that's true again. Even with me, drawing non-adult fetish material is pretty addictive, and doing adult stuff is even more so...as you've already seen from the weird art I drew before. But it's kinda a slippy slope, though. Once you get too deep into fetish material, there's a good chance that eventually, you'll only want to do that stuff.
  37. [6/15/2015 6:44:42 PM] Scootie: Yeah, but then think about it
  38. [6/15/2015 6:44:47 PM] Scootie: What is FA exactly?
  39. [6/15/2015 6:45:11 PM] Scootie: It was to be a community of people with interest in anthromorphic creatures
  40. [6/15/2015 6:45:21 PM] Scootie: But now the ideal image is porn porn porn
  41. [6/15/2015 6:46:25 PM] Scootie: What exactly drew you to Scoots and Squeaky?
  42. [6/15/2015 6:46:47 PM] Scootie: Their design that they cater to a certain group aesthetic
  43. [6/15/2015 6:51:49 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, and that's the point. When I was just on DA, I had the freedom of normal creative pursuits, but I couldn't properly explore my personal fetishes in the way I wanted. On FA, however, I can only do fetish material, because people wouldn't care otherwise. I can't really be happy if I stifle my fetishes or give into them completely. That's why I've actually been considering if I should split my focus between FA and DA, so I could do both.
  44. [6/15/2015 6:52:33 PM] Scootie: Seems you focus on FA more
  45. [6/15/2015 6:52:45 PM] Scootie: Exploring your fetishes than the dreams you had
  46. [6/15/2015 6:57:59 PM | Edited 6:58:20 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah. Like I said, fetishes are really addictive...and it's way too easy too get caught up in only drawing and enjoying fetish material. It's really one of the reasons why I haven't started on my dreams years ago...because I got so sucked up in fetish art, games and stories, until I just lose all interest in my own pursuits. But, at the same time, back when I was too afraid to draw furry or toony stuff, I just became miserable and bored with art.
  47. [6/15/2015 6:58:32 PM] Scootie: That's your problem
  48. [6/15/2015 6:58:34 PM] Shrimp Noodle: That's why I kinda want to try finding some balance in the future.
  49. [6/15/2015 6:58:44 PM] Scootie: You should try to do it more like me
  50. [6/15/2015 6:58:52 PM] Scootie: I post whatever I feel I want
  51. [6/15/2015 6:59:21 PM] Scootie: I'm content with just 1 or even 2 people commenting on my character designs that I post
  52. [6/15/2015 6:59:40 PM] Scootie: Would people rather see me post more fetish related work? Yeah, of course
  53. [6/15/2015 7:00:02 PM] Scootie: Do I care of the fact that's mainly what 90% of my watchers want? No
  54. [6/15/2015 7:00:18 PM] Scootie: It's my page, I will post it when I want to, whenever I feel like it
  55. [6/15/2015 7:00:39 PM] Scootie: Nobody can step up to me and tell me otherwise of what I can and cannot post there
  56. [6/15/2015 7:00:56 PM] Scootie: You literally have free reign to post whatever it is you feel like
  57. [6/15/2015 7:01:32 PM] Scootie: You started becoming more accustom to keeping the mass happy that you yourself are not happy with what your doing
  58. [6/15/2015 7:02:02 PM] Scootie: The result is that you've made yourself miserable in the process because you feel you need to please that mass when you don't
  59. [6/15/2015 7:02:53 PM] Scootie: Tramane, remember when I said I end up sharing my happiness with everyone else and hardly have enough at the end of the day for myself that I literally need to sit back and let the hidden scars I have heal?
  60. [6/15/2015 7:03:41 PM] Scootie: That is exactly what you are doing, you are harming yourself mentally for something that is completely non-existant compared to mines which does exist, the people I exactly care about
  61. [6/15/2015 7:11:10 PM] Shrimp Noodle: But that's the thing. It's not always about doing whatever makes you happy when you need to build your name. It's true, I did overdo it when I tried to please everyone constantly. All I really managed to do was burn myself out repeatedly. Still, I can't get anywhere if I don't tickle their ears and eyes (figuratively) when necessary. I need people to know about me, and I need them to care about seeing more of my art. My art is currently my only source of income, and having some tiny bit of e-fame (kinda) and positive attention can give my other projects a better chance of being noticed.
  62. [6/15/2015 7:11:45 PM] Shrimp Noodle: The key, I think, is finding a balance between drawing what I want and drawing what they want.
  63. [6/15/2015 7:11:56 PM] Scootie: No no no
  64. [6/15/2015 7:12:00 PM] Scootie: Don't do that
  65. [6/15/2015 7:12:07 PM] Scootie: You see Sakurai?
  66. [6/15/2015 7:12:15 PM] Scootie: The man who made Smash Bros
  67. [6/15/2015 7:12:43 PM] Scootie: Look at what the fans did to him when he decided to break his back to give what they wanted, he feels his creation is tarnished
  68. [6/15/2015 7:13:15 PM] Scootie: You don't give your back to the crowd and hope they'll carry you, because at some point, they'll shun you, throw you down, and demand for more
  69. [6/15/2015 7:13:28 PM | Edited 7:13:33 PM] Scootie: And you won't be able to have the speed to keep up to those demands
  70. [6/15/2015 7:13:52 PM] Scootie: I can understand you want to get them to notice you, the grab their attention
  71. [6/15/2015 7:14:10 PM] Scootie: But if you wanna grab their attention, do it your way, not for them, for you and you alone
  72. [6/15/2015 7:14:57 PM] Scootie: The reason I'm a friend to you is because I wanted to see an artist grow, not a person stuck have to giving to the herdless sheep back out there
  73. [6/15/2015 7:16:54 PM] Scootie: What your doing is giving up on your dream, if you wanted that dream to still be out there now, you would be sitting down, working on designs and plots and trying to get in contact with the big names so you can talk with them and show your stuff
  74. [6/15/2015 7:24:23 PM] Scootie: I cut his tail at the same aread
  75. [6/15/2015 7:24:30 PM] Scootie: Oops
  76. [6/15/2015 7:28:25 PM] Shrimp Noodle: To be honest, I still feel like I should try and find a balance with everything I do, though. I need fetish stuff, but I also need non-fetish stuff. I guess if I just focus on finding that particular balance without concern for making the fans happy, then I can be feel happy with myself, and they will just have to be satisfied with whatever fetish material they do get from me.
  77. [6/15/2015 7:29:33 PM | Edited 7:29:39 PM] Scootie: That's pretty much what I was just saying >A>
  78. [6/15/2015 7:31:18 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, the progress of our conversation was a bit confusing at first, but I guess it makes sense. ^_^; But hey, it's getting about time for me to call it a night for Skype. I'm going to try to actually get some art done tonight before I head to bed.
  79. [6/15/2015 7:32:49 PM] Scootie: Aye, alright, done hunting with Durgon for now
  80. [6/15/2015 7:33:01 PM] Scootie: Seems I'll be hunting with him too more often
  81. [6/15/2015 7:35:36 PM] Shrimp Noodle: That's good, I'm glad that you have someone to hunt with more often. ^_^ Hope you have a good night, and I'll chat with you later.
  82. [6/15/2015 7:37:31 PM] Scootie: That Grangel jarring was drawin in all a day
  83. [6/15/2015 7:37:44 PM] Scootie: That's what having no wifi for a weekend does
  84. [6/15/2015 7:39:46 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, that picture turned out pretty good as well, despite your scanner.
  85. [6/15/2015 7:40:36 PM] Scootie: More jarring coming soon I guess
  86. [6/15/2015 7:45:12 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Sounds good, I look forward to seeing how they turn out. ^_^ Good night, Scoots.
