PERSONALITY:

as a whole you could describe summer as a fat burrito with anything that you could imagine in it. from her quiet observant self to her loud and sometimes obnoxious personality, she has it all. but this burrito doesn't need any sauce. there is already more than enough spiciness, saltiness, and tang, but they all balance out into one big summer. ever since she was young, summer could never focus on one thing longer than five minutes. there would always be something in the room that piqued her interest. this happened the most during class and she would pay attention to the teacher or her peers rather than the lesson. because she did this so often, she became an expert at reading body language and emotions. she knew if someone was lying just by a slight tremble in their voice, or if someone is in a bad mood. and if someone was in a bad mood, she wouldn't stand for it. she'll do everything she can to make your day at least a little bit better. but this isn't necessarily the greatest trait. usually when you're in a bad mood, you would want to be alone. so when summer is doing her best to cheer you up, it would feel like she was invading your personal space. making new friends is very easy for summer. she isn't afraid of making the first move, and actually prefers to reach out to others first. in addition to that, summer is also a great conversation starter. usually, she'll start off with a "oh my gosh, i love your shoes! where'd you get them?" yes, i know, cliche, but it works. well, at least for summer. her tone is very comforting, making the person she's introducing herself to want to be around her more often. summer is the epitome of fine-motor skills. anything arts and crafts related is right up her alley. her excellent arts and crafts skills has helped her pursue her dream of becoming a costume designer. to create elaborate costumes, her imaginative side would have to be put to use. oh, and when she turns on the knob that's labeled "imagination," it doesn't stop. when she's brainstorming or actually sewing together the piece, it's like nothing else in in the room. this is also the only time where summer is actually focused on something. need memes? summer's your girl. her friends are surprised that her personal instagram account hasn't turned into a meme account yet. adding on to the memes, summer is also on top of her trend game. constantly on social media, she's always caught up with the latest drama. even though summer seems like someone who will always say the right things to comfort you, and believe me, she is, but she'll be extremely blunt when needed. and remember, summer's a burrito, and there's absolutely no sugar on burritos. so i guess you could say that her bluntness is a mini burrito. some good advice to avoid most of the sugar-free bluntness is to not anger her. before that, she would act nice and would try to help you out as much as she could, but in an argument, she'll spout out all of the things that she hates about you, even if it isn't true. most see this as a negative trait, describing it as "fake." funfcat: yokoyama is japanese for extra. she'll over react over anything and everything. trip over a rock? she'll act like she broke her leg. many find this really irritating when she over reacts over an argument or someone saying something about her, even if it wasn't meant in a negative way. but once you stand up to her and put summer in her place, she'll realize that what she did was wrong and do everything in her power to fix it. really, all summer needs is someone to control her.

BACKGROUND:

miami came with sunshine, good vibes, and great food. summer had everything she wanted there. usually parents hear their babies' first words at about nine to twelve months after they are born. summer spoke her first words when she was five years old. up until she was about four or five years old, she wouldn't talk or converse with others and her family thought that she sick. luckily, she wasn't sick, it was simply because she was so fascinated by everything. it was as if she had came down from a different planet, except that planet was was the womb. her talking started when she was five. this was because she had started kindergarten, and it was just natural for her to talk back to her teachers, friends, and other authorities in the school. despite her not being able to talk, she spoke english almost fluently, i guess her observing paid off. summer's elementary school days were the most boring six years of her life. stuck with one teacher the whole year, immature drama, and cooties. her sixth grade promotion was the best day of her life. sayonara, kendale elementary. when she finally got to middle school, she realized that the past six years of complete nothing were about to be made up with the next six. the summer (the season) of of her sixth grade year she could sense the possibility of her parents splitting up, and the "i need to make things right," side of her exploded during this time. she bawled, threw tantrums, and even begged, but it made things even worse. her mother didn't care. so it was official. her seventh grade year was summer's first year mom-less. she hated it. her mom was, well, her mom. one of the biggest idols in her life just disappeared. and that made seventh grade even harder. not only did she have to go to a new school, she would have to do it with half the support. more like none of the support. summer resented her dad because she felt that he didn't try to stop her mother from leaving. as a result, summer spent her middle school years by herself, with a couple of friends a long the way. the only thing that saved her from the agony of her father was was costume designing. it took her focus off of all the bad and problematic aspects of her life and was a way to relax. because of her skills in costume making, she spent most of her time in the drama room, brain storming ideas for outfits, and picking up some acting skills as well. acting also was a way to help her cope with stress. the two years spent in middle school were over and the broken replationship with her dad remained the same. the summer (season) was the same as any other, wake up, ignore dad, go out with friends, go home, ignore dad, and sleep. this schedule of hers was interrupted when she decided to take a trip to the mailbox. and in that mailbox was a letter from her mother. summer raced back home to read it with her father— that was the first time she and her dad had actually communicated. her mother wrote that she didn't want to waste all of those years of commitment all to waste it on a divirce. she also wrote that she had found a new job in seoul, south korea, and would be waiting there. and both summer and her dad knew what the right thing to do was— go to korea. summer stepped into korea with the mindset "new country, new me." but she hadn't really thought about what this new her would look like. and oh, was she about to find out. daehil highschool was the school she enrolled in and it couldn't have been better. after reuniting with her mother and the two getting remarried, summer recieved nothing but love. because her parents felt really bad for giving summer pain the past two years, they would buy her the newest phones, and clothing. many people at her school hated summer because she came off as spoiled. noticing this, summer tried her hardest to appeal to them, which resulted in her doing their homework and taking the blame for others, even if she didn't do anything wrong. but after a while she was tired of it. she was just tired. summer has said goodbye to a lot of things in her life, but this might be the biggest one. goodbye summer, hello bummer. she would push other people around, make fun of others, and become the "baddest bitch" at school. why go through all of this trouble when you could simply just stand up for yourself? you see, this isn't just about her bullies, this was about her parents spoiling her, also known as the core of this problem. the girl even dyed her hair a light pink, which her parents back then would have freaked out on. this went on for a year, but her parents never cracked. they would look past the actual problem and find a way to completely spoil her even more. the last straw was a criminal offense. yes, i said it. ms. oh, let me do your homework, "stole" from a convenience store. by "stole" i mean that summer and her posse took whatever they wanted from the shelves and made their classmate pay for all of it. the worker there was furious with this and called the school, reporting this. this would result in her parents coming into the school to talk, and a suspension of three weeks. that day when the family if three got home summer fell to the floor bawling het eyes out. and her parents could tell that it wasn't from the suspension. but sadly, they couldn't catch on to this next part. summer was crying because she needed someone to control her. and although her parents were there physically, they went soft when she needed them the most. she needed someone to tell her "no." instead, her parents figured that she felt left out and compensated for that with more brand name clothing. even though it took her a while to figure out, summer realized that at this point, no one was going to control her but herself. to conclude her "bummer" phase, she apologized to the classmates she had bullied genuinely, and spent her three weeks of suspension thinking of ways to transition back into summer. by the last day of her suspension, she finally got it. she concluded that she would live each day as if it were her last, and not let anyone push her, or others around. but she couldn't change completely, as her tendency to over react remained but she tried to keep it in most of the time. because of her change of attitude, summer was able to re-kindle friendships with the people who have stuck by her side till this day— song chaeyoung and min sewoon.

RELATIONSHIPS:

-mother; as you can probably tell from the background, summer currently isn't the fondest with her. desspite her mother's tendencies to spoil her, summer understands and sees that her mother is trying her best to understand summer and what she was going through. summer constantly tells her mother that she had already recieved many gifts and things that she doesn't need. when she is with her friends, summer doesn't talk about her mother and how she doesn't want the things that she has so she sometimes comes off as a "spoiled brat."

-father; summers and her father didn't have a great relationship at first. this relationship went to an extent of not even talking to each other for two years. but after they reunited with her mother, their bond started to become stronger. slowly, but surely. unfortunately, he was also for the spoiling but like with het mother, she understood what his goal was and continued to drop hints about her true feelings on all of the spoiling. she knows that he will always be standing by her side and trusts him completely. he even stood by her when they weren't talking to each other, and she understood how hard that was on him.

-song chaeyoung; the two met each other when summer was in her bummer phase. chaeyoung is also known as the only person who stood by summer after the bummer phase, and that meant a lot. chaeyoung is very supportive of whatever summer plans to do and is one of the greatest listeners ever. she also is the only other person who is able to keep summer in her place. whenever you would think of summer, chaeyoung also comes to mind. they're each other's rigjt hand men and almost nothing could pull them apart.

-min sewoon; basically the biggest f-boi/hypebeast ever. but despite all of the cringiness, sewoon was summer's "little brother from anotha motha." since summer never had a younger sibling, she envied everyone who did. and sewoon was a great substitute. his immaturity and attempts to act grown turns summer's protective side. always calling him "kid," or "fetus," she takes pleasure in annoying the crap out of her "little bro."

-when the two are together, they are unstoppable. adding the two loud personalities together is like gad and a lit match. it equals an explosion. hear a combination of yelling, laughing, and snorting at the same time? that's summer and chenle for ya. bug dates really aren't meant for them because even though summer tends to be very organized, she doesn't want to waste time planning out an extravagant date. a perfect date to the two are picnics at the park or beach, movies, and a cute cafe to eat and talk. the two are also big foodies so yoh can bet that they've tried every two thumbs up worthy restaurants in seoul.

memes also play a big part of their relationship. sending memes, talking about memes, and being memes are thier forte. thier friend group finds both of them really obnoxious sometimes as they are together twenty four seven. as for skinship, they didn't really make a bug deal out of it as it just came naturally to them. the order was simple. hold hands/hug, kiss, and etc. but absolutely no cuddling. since summer tends to get sweaty easily, cuddling isn't the the best for both sides of the party. holding hands is also a seven out of ten on the comfort scale for the two as well because her hands get sweaty very very very easily.

although the skinship level is through the roof, couple names and compliments is the very bane of their existence. summer never understood how girls in kdramas would fall for a guy with the aegyo swith turned to the max. and good thing for her, chenle felt exactly the same way. instead, they would roast each other, with the favorite one being, "boi you look like expired lean." and "vro i bet you eat left and right overs."

arguments are also a big part of every relationship. yes, they'll fight, but it will always start with chenle saying that summer is over reacting and then summer will hit him with the "okay, but why do think i'm over reacting?" follwed by chenle's "um, because you're you?" ending with a "that was a rhetorical question!" but don't worry, a compromise will be made and the two will act like nothing ever happened.

HOW YOU MET:

1) summer was at a convenience store buying some spam for dinner, but it was too expensive, yes, even for a spoiled ms. i have brand name bags. it wasn't that she couldn't afford the spam, it was just that it was ridiculous to her that they would charge six dollars for two cans of spam in the first place. she then stormed up to the cashier and negotiated for almost half an hour. chen le was in the convenience store even before summer and was watching the whole dispute from the back side ofthe store. he assumed that summer couldn't afford the spam, and decided to be the bigger person.

2) he went up behind her, whispered, "you're welcome," paid for the spam, and left. the thing was, summer didn't see any of it. it was as if there was a flash that zoomed across the room and left without a word. after that, summer raced outside trying to find out the culprit. she uses the word culprit to describe the person because she didn't want to get a discount all for herself, she wanted to make the company change the price permanently, and chenle ruined her plan. but as suspected, there wasn't anything outside except for a street light and a stray dog.

3) little would summer know that chenle would be moving in right next to her house. it has been a family tradition, even in the states to bring food to new neighbors so summer's parents sent her out to deliver rice cakes. as chenle opened the door, he immediately recognized her and started with, "hey, don't you remember me?" summer, knowing that she had never seen him her entire life simply thought that he had mistaken her for someone else. and went on to clear up the misunderstandings.

4) as she was half way through her "um, i think you have the wrong person," a strong gust of wind blew past her, sawying her hair side to side. chenle also notcied the blur of yellow circling behind her. but it was too late. multiple "invisible punches" were thrown at summer's side and face, immediately knocking her down. chenle sped past and engaged in a twenty minute battle against the reverse flash, also known as the man who killed his mother and framed his father for it. after chasing away reverse flash, he was weary and ended with a "sorry, i gotta go," closing the door behind him.

5) summer went home still in awe of what she saw. soon after, she realized that he was the person who payed for her spam the other day. but what hit her the hardest was that he had super powers. super speed. she had already tried convincing herself that it was all a dream but was over it. he really had super powers. the next day she knocked on his door planning to return the rice cakes that he had forgotten to take the day before. chenle didn't open the door because he assumed that she was there to bombard him with a million questions at once. five days after, he reluctantly opened the door and came face to face with summer holding a box of rice cakes.
