FoE PNP Destiny Group Session 22 - Fixed Version

1:41 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: When we last left our heroes, their beach vacation was cut short by explosions! Having returned to Destiny to save it from a terrorist hijacking, they found themselves the victims of a sneak attack by one of the Destiny crew. With Chameleon unconscious, they plan their next move.
1:42 PM - Swoop: "So what now?"
1:42 PM - High Hopes glares at Swoop and barks, "I told you not to call him that!"
1:43 PM - Swoop puts her hooves up in defense. "Hey I just call them as I see them."
1:44 PM - Swept Wing rolls his eyes. "Cut it out, we've got a ship to save."
1:44 PM - High Hopes frowns and trots up to Swoop. She just glares and shakes her head.
1:45 PM - Astera can't really remember where they are going, she floats up cammy and puts her on Asteras back. "Yes, I still have Kaifa's tag on my pipbuck, let us see if Medical can help us, then. We go for her next, surely the rest of the resistance will give up once their leader is defeated."
1:47 PM - Swept Wing nods. "Alright. I'm off to the Interface room then. I'll see if I can grab your gun from your room too Swoop."
1:47 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: The door Swoop just opened leads to the hall circling the Kino Room. The lights are much dimmer than normal, even for the night shift.
1:47 PM - High Hopes hangs her head and trots slowly to Medical.
1:48 PM - Swoop gazes around uneasily. "What's the fastest way to get you guys to medical?"
1:49 PM - Swept Wing disconnected.
1:49 PM - Clara is still hoping to find a peaceful solution to this.
1:50 PM - High Hopes remains quiet the whole way, limping a little and whimpering softly.
1:52 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: From the ship's map, Medical is located a short distance away, on the far side of the Kino Room and Communications Room hubs.  As you follow the curve of the hallway, there's another shut bulkhead between your group and the Com hub.
1:52 PM - Swoop checks her pipbuck and starts walking toward medical.
1:55 PM - High Hopes disconnected.
1:56 PM - Astera is still lightheaded from the bloodloss, she follows the others with a lowered head.
1:58 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: There's a soft click from Astera's PipBuck, "So. From all the shouting and gunfire, I take it you won't be staying put still."
1:58 PM - Swoop snickers.
1:59 PM - Astera groans and lifts her leg, checking her pipbuck for a moment, then, with a toss of her head she answers. "No.. No we won't, please Kaifa stop this madness, before anypony else gets hurt"
2:02 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: "I told you already, Countess. Nopony needs to get hurt... If the Princesses would have simply accepted our concerns in the first place, we could have protected everypony. The ones being hurt are because of ponies like your friends."
2:02 PM - intox. Assy McGee #Rager entered chat.
2:02 PM - Swoop mutters. "Your concerns are slightly unreasonable..."
2:04 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: There's a slight pause, "What's so unreasonable about them? We want to stop doing things ponies were not meant to do..."
2:04 PM - Astera: "You have forced our hooves in this matter.." she mutters, glancing back into the hallway.
2:05 PM - Swoop: "And who says we weren't meant to do what we're doing? You? That's almost as presumptuous as what you think of Celestia!"
2:07 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: "Yes, there were complications that forced us into action earlier than expected... but this is the only way we can get our point across now... For years we've petitioned, and protested, and lobbied with no results..."
2:13 PM - Clara frowns, and adds her own input. "Why are you doing this? Why are you against exploring the universe?"
2:13 PM - Swept Wing is headed for the stairs, trying to find a way up to the third floor and the Interface room.
2:18 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Heading back towards the stairs, Swept ran into two more sets of doors, but managed to open them with fairly little trouble. At the top of the stairs however, is an exceptionally sturdy looking door.
2:18 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: "Why am I against it? Have you not been reading your own mission reports?"
2:20 PM - Swept Wing frowns. "Mmmm." He pulls the panel off, and tries to reprogram it.
2:20 PM - Swoop: "Why would we read something we wrote?"
2:23 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: It opens much more slowly than the others, but the door at the top of the stairs eventually withdraws into the wall.
2:24 PM - Swept Wing trots through, and starts heading towards the Interface room.
2:24 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: "Because you seem to need the refresher, Private. Your reports have been page after page of threats and danger that Equestrian citizens are needlessly exposing themselves to."
2:26 PM - Swoop snorts as she gets to work on opening the hatch. "Seems like the only ones at risk are us... from you."
2:29 PM - Clara: "But... There is plenty of good, as well! And how can we find more good if we do not look?"
2:32 PM - Swept Wing whistles as he trots along down the hallway, headed for the Interface Room, keeping an eye out for any other ponies, both friendly and not.
2:33 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: There are more doors between Swept and the Flight Interface Room. None that look particularly challenging, but it'll take some time. The door in front of Swoop opens at her proding, Kaifa's voice responds with a hint of irritation, "You are putting yourselves at risk. I wouldn't have ordered him to try and stop you if you'd just stayed put like I asked. And what about the good ponies on Equestria? Think of everything this program has been potentially exposing them to! What about them?"
2:34 PM - Astera stomps a hoof in anger. "And what about the ponies on this ship! Which you, Kaifa, is about to murder by taking this ship into a star!"
2:35 PM - Swoop smirks and heads through cautiously, pistol ready.
2:36 PM - Swoop disconnected.
2:38 PM - Clara: "What about when we find something truly amazing, that benefits the whole of Equestria? Would you deny them that amazing thing?"
2:44 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: "Why Countess... do tell me then, isn't this just another 'danger of space', one of the very things you're saying you're willing to risk your life for? None of the ponies on this ship need to die." There's a slight pause, "And just how many amazing things have you found yet? How can you say it's worth risking the entire planet?"
2:48 PM - Astera hisses between her teeth, closing her eyes and shaking in anger and from her earlier wounds. "This, is not the way! You are right, it is not worth Equestria, nothing is worth our home. But, but we have to try to find something, there are wonders out there. Wonders like the goddess we met on the first planet we visited. The ice planet, which had a ancient civilization buried in it, the friendly aliens whom just wanted to share a drink with us. There are things out there that we do not even understand yet. I believe that this is the next step, that is why I signed up too this journey. The entity, he might be powerful, and possibly dangerous, but we have beaten him. What makes you think we cannot do so again?!"
2:53 PM - Clara frowns. "Equestria is just as dangerous a place as any of these planets... Each and every one has had amazing wonders! The danger does not change that... There is danger everywhere. Ponies have always faced danger... and you have never given up before."
2:55 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: There's a much longer pause. Beyond the door the cooridor goes in another loop around the Communications Room, there are doors on either side, halfway down the loop from you. The more perceptive ponies can make out a soft crackling sound coming through Com Room's walls.
2:56 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Kaifa finally speaks, her voice a bit quieter, "If there's really so many wonders out here... how can we possibly find them without sacrificing our loved ones? You can't."
2:59 PM - Swept Wing is still chugging along towards the Interface Room.
3:00 PM - Astera: "Perhaps we cannot, but! We have to try! My father is suffering from a heart desease, there is no know cure on equestria, perhaps.. There is one out there somewhere. Truely you cannot believe that there aint friendly civilizations that can and will help us." She glares at a wall, tearing up slightly. "I have to try, I have too. Dont you understand?"
3:02 PM - Swoop entered chat.
3:06 PM - Clara remains quiet, for a long while. "We all have those that we care about... That we wish to protect at all cost. But... we cannot hide from what we do not know, and we cannot protect from what we do not understand. It is up to us to learn what we can, so we may understand, and protect. If we hide... that does not mean that danger will not find us."
3:09 PM - intox. Assy McGee #Rager has changed their name to Chameleon.
3:09 PM - Swoop continues into the next room.
3:10 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: "Your father... I see... so you will know the pain of loss too..." She sniffs softly, "I understand... and I am sorry, but I cannot back down..."
3:12 PM - Swoop heads into the comm room.
3:12 PM - Astera sniffs too, keeping her glare at the wall. "And neither can we."
3:16 PM - Chameleon: Cammy's still unconscious and comfy on Astera's back. It's just talking at the moment anyways and Cammy's bad at the talking.
3:17 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: The Com Room door is closed as well, but opens much easier than any of the previous. Inside you find a changeling stallion slumped against one of the two large banks of consoles, bleeding from a blow to the back of his head. Both banks of consoles are sparking, the far one having taken heavy damage.
3:17 PM - Swoop: "Hopes, check this guy. I'll see if I can get this comm shit working."
3:20 PM - Swoop checks over the comm systems.
3:20 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: "I am sorry to say but if your intent is to kill me it will get you nowhere... and will only send me to be with my Patch..."
3:21 PM - Swoop: "Fine, go, but leave the rest of us alone..."
3:22 PM - Clara frowns and looks at her hooves. "I just wish it didn't have to end like this..."
3:22 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: The Com systems look damaged way beyond anything Swoop could even attempt. She's not even sure how to get it to stop sparking.
3:23 PM - Swoop: "Luna damn whoever worked this station over..."
3:26 PM - Astera groans slightly, leaning against a wall. I thought we where going too the medical.... In her half wounded state she has not payed much attention to owhere they where acctually going.
3:27 PM - Swoop: "We are. Just wanted to see if I could raise anyone else, or at least take the bitch off the air. Seeing as how I can't, we've now got a new passenger to medical. If he's still alive."
3:30 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Hopes is still fuming as she looks over the changeling, "He doesn't seem to be too badly injured... but he might have a concussion, so we need to be careful moving him."
3:30 PM - Swoop nods and lifts him carefully onto her back. "Astera, if you'd lead the way."
3:33 PM - Astera nods slightly, giving her pipbuck map a brief check before heading out towards medical, her head was spinning slightly. "... we should try to take her alive, if all possible, Im sure the princesses would like to talk with her"
3:34 PM - Swoop: "Only if we get the option."
3:34 PM - Chameleon: Cammy cracks open an eye and fidgets slightly. She realizes she's on Astera's back, and no longer feeling like her organs were made of ice, which was a plus. On the downside that wasn't a dream and apparently they're still on the ship fighting for their lives.
3:38 PM - Astera: "We... We should give her that option atleast.."
3:39 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: It seems like the blast doors will never end, but Swept finally reaches the Flight Interface Room. When he tries to open it though nothing happens.
3:40 PM - Swept Wing: "Well fuck."
3:40 PM - Swept Wing sits down in the hallway to think.
3:41 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Following Astera's lead, the team exits through one of the side doors, and after passing another down the hall, finally reach the door to Medical, which is confirmed by a giant stencel-print label across the door.
3:42 PM - Swept Wing stares at the door for a moment, before getting up. "Bah, what the hell." He knocks on it.
3:44 PM - Astera tests the door, seeing if they are open, the alicorn is shaking slightly from the strain she has already taken, aswell as from her own thoughs, she's been manage to surpress her feelings up to now, but it is all about to swell over.
3:44 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: There's a very soft voice from inside the FIR, "Who's there?"
3:44 PM - Clara stays next to Astera to help support her if she needs it. "We are going to be fine... Do not worry!"
3:44 PM - Swept Wing: "Private Swept Wing."
3:47 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: The door to Medical is indeed locked, and looks to be particularly thick. The voice is silent for a few moments, in which Swept notices traces of blood along the bottom track, "Sw... Swept... oh... you... you're not one of them... right?"
3:47 PM - Astera sighs deeply, smiling softly at Clara. "I.. Hope so."
3:48 PM - Swoop bangs on the med bay door.
3:48 PM - Swept Wing's eyes widen a bit at the blood. "No, of course not."
3:51 PM - Astera leans closer to oteh panel next to othe door, she uses her magic to check a few things, seeign if she can override the lockdown.
3:53 PM - Chameleon left chat.
3:56 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: There's no response at all from inside Medical. At the FIR nothing happens either for several minutes, then the door slides open slowly, a lilac colored pegasus is slumped against the panel on the other side, bleeding from numerous wounds. A blue earth pony stallion is lying on the floor, unmoving.
3:56 PM - Chameleon has been invited to chat.
3:56 PM - Chameleon entered chat.
3:57 PM - Swoop: "So much for politely. Can you open it Astera?"
3:58 PM - Astera glances at Swoop, still trying to configure the panel to open the door. "Perhaps.. Give me a minute.."
3:58 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: The lilac pegasus looks up at you slowly, "Sw...Swept?"
3:59 PM - Swept Wing: "Fuck... fuck!" He rushes into the room. "Captain!"
4:02 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Despite Astera's best attempt, the door to medical remains closed. Captain Apollo closes her eyes, breathing heavily, "I... I'm glad... you're safe..."
4:04 PM - High Hopes entered chat.
4:04 PM - Astera frowns at the panel, then, sighs hanging her head. "I guess not.. Unless, maybe I can do a change to the opening sequence manually.." She reaches her magic out again, in a risky atempt too force the door open by manipulating the gears that opened and closed the door.
4:05 PM - Swept Wing kneels down next to Apollo, supporting her in his hooves. "Captain, what, what happened?"
4:06 PM - High Hopes disconnected.
4:11 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: It takes everything she can muster, but eventually Astera can feel as her magic wraps around the gears, slowly turning them with a loud grinding noise. The door opens in response, the nearly foot-thick slab of metal sliding away to reveal the interior of Medical.
4:12 PM - Astera groans as her magic manipulates the gears and mechanics surrouding the door to get it open, she's panting softly as she trots inside the medical bay, looking around.
4:13 PM - Swoop follows her inside. "Hello? Anypony home? Wounded ponies here needing meds."
4:14 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Apollo shakes her head slowly, "I... I don't know... the... I had us on course to the star... to recharge..." She pauses, shaking against Swept's side, "Th-then everything... the system froze... I was about to go check when... he... he attacked me."
4:16 PM - Clara heads inside with Astera, staying nearby. "Careful..."
4:17 PM - Chameleon: Cammy pokes her head up so she can see
4:17 PM - Swept Wing looks over at the earth pony lying on the floor, before looking back to Apollo, nodding. "Is there anyway to unfreeze the system?"
4:18 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: As the party heads into medical, they hear the quiet shattering of glass, seconds before a blob of green goo begins pouring itself out of one of the doctor's offices.
4:18 PM - Swoop: "Oh that can't be good..."
4:19 PM - Astera takes a few steps back then raises a hoof in a defensive possition.
4:20 PM - Chameleon: Cammy slides off Astera's back and lands on her hooves with a small 'oof'
4:20 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Apollo shakes her head again, "I... I don't know... it wasn't accepting any commands... I... I was going to try to find somepony to look... He... he almost took my leg off..."
4:21 PM - Astera jumps slighlty. "Oh, Cammy!  A-are you going to be alright?"
4:22 PM - Chameleon: Cammy blinks and looks up at Astera "...Probably. Who knows?"
4:22 PM - Swept Wing nods. "Alright. Save your breath Captain, I'm getting you to Medical."
4:22 PM - Astera: looks back at  the spreadng goo. "Yeah...."
4:23 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: The goo rears up, pressing against the ceiling as it moves forward in lurching surges. A mare's voice calls out from beyond it, "If you really need help, you're going to drop any weapons you're carrying!"
4:23 PM - Swoop steps back as well. Well, any guesses on what we do now?"
4:24 PM - Chameleon: "I don't have any."
4:24 PM - Chameleon: "Well my hooves, but that's besides the point. I can't drop those."
4:25 PM - Astera has no weapons to drop. "Im unarmed!"
4:25 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Hopes takes a step forward, "D-doctor, this is no time to play around!" The mare's voice lightens a bit, "Wait. Hopes, is that you?"
4:25 PM - Swoop: "Who's that?"
4:26 PM - Swoop: "Oh... her..."
4:26 PM - Clara also has no weapons to drop.
4:27 PM - Chameleon: "Last I checked that's a mare's voice."
4:30 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: The goo monster slides further out of the office but over to the side, giving Dr. Homegrown room to step out of her office, "Well come in, please... With what I've been hearing... you can understand why I'm cautious..."
4:31 PM - Swoop nods and enters. "Yeah, these days you can't trust anypony it seems."
4:32 PM - Astera: "You are not with Kaifa, are you?"
4:33 PM - Swoop looks for a place to deposit the stallion bug on her back. "That bitch tried to have us killed. Hell no we ain't helping her."
4:33 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Apollo nods slowly again, "W-wait... he... he's not dead... s...save him...t-too..."
4:37 PM - Swept Wing nods. "Of course sir, but you first." He helps her up, supporting her.
4:38 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: The examination beds are all empty, so Swoop is able to set the changeling on one without any problems. Homegrown trots hurriedly over to the supply cabinets, pulling out a tray of healing potions and setting them out for the group before retrieving an IV which she begins hooking up carefully to the changeling, "No, Countess. Though I would not deny her aid, were she in need, and civil."
4:41 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Apollo leans against Swept, not using her right hind-leg at all, making for a very awkward trot. It also makes the trip back a lot longer, even without the doors in the way.
4:42 PM - Astera: lays down on the floor, sighing again. "I am, hoping to catch her alive, i wish there could be apeacefull sollution to all of this, but... I doubt she will listen to oreason, her mind is set on this task. And we need to stop her, but first.. Me, and my friends are wounded.. We where hoping to find  somethign ehre that could help us."
4:43 PM - Swept Wing doesn't care. He just gets the Captain back to Medical.
4:48 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Homegrown checks each of you over in turn, making certain that you're taken care of and healed fully, giving Astera and Chameleon each a dose of Med-x to take away the worst of the pain while waiting for the potions to reach full effect, "Have you considered giving in to her demands? At least for the time being."
4:48 PM - Swoop opts out of the exam, wasn't hurt at all.
4:49 PM - Astera: "Her demands to stay put and.. What..? Accept that we should not continue this journey? Contact the princesses?"
4:50 PM - Swoop: "Yeah, I'm not good with that at all."
4:53 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Hopes is busying herself taking care of the changeling as Homegrown looks you all over. She shrugs a little while putting away one of the empty potions, "Contacting the princesses, yes." Homegrown looks to Swoop and shrugs a little, "Well, I'm a doctor, not a negotiator."
4:56 PM - Astera frowns slightly, thinking over the options. "I suppose we could contact the princesses in this matter, but.. I am not sure what they would be able too do. And I dont think they would risk stepping onto Destiny, it is to dangerous for them."
4:59 PM - Swoop: "And I'm a pilot. Negotiations for me usually end with the tip of a missile."
5:02 PM - Clara frowns. "We're running out of ideas..."
5:03 PM - Swept Wing is still helping Apollo to Medical.
5:07 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Going down the stairs to the main deck Apollo stumbles. She cries out loudly, biting her lip, but Swept manages to catch her in time to keep her from falling down the stairs.
5:08 PM - Swept Wing: "Careful, careful. I've got yah Captain. Take it easy now."
5:11 PM - Astera looks at her companions. "...should we try to contact the princessess?
5:11 PM - Swoop: "Comms are screwed. The pannels are smashed."
5:12 PM - Astera blinks. "Oh, right!."
5:12 PM - Swoop: "And we'd need someone who knows how to use the gate to call home that way. Which we don't have."
5:13 PM - Astera mutters. "No.. He's dead..."
5:13 PM - Swoop: "We only have one option left: Take back the ship."
5:14 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Homegrown looks to Astera and gives a slight smile, "Perhaps you could convince her to use the soul communication system? That way she wouldn't have to give up her control of the ship... if it could be repaired."
5:15 PM - Swept Wing: "Hey, Captain, what happened to the Commander, you know?"
5:16 PM - Astera looks back at Homegrown and ponders for a moment before nodding. "That could be one option, hopefully one she would be willing to take.. In fact, if she grants us acces s to the facilities I could go to the princessess myself. Im sure Luna and Celestia would listen and know what too do."
5:18 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Apollo shakes her head slowly, "I... I don't k-know..."
5:19 PM - Swept Wing nods. "Alright, do you know where he was when the attack happened?"
5:22 PM - Swoop disconnected.
5:22 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Homegrown nods a little, "It might be worth exploring." Just down the hall, Apollo limps along with Swept, "Wh-which Commander?"
5:23 PM - Swoop entered chat.
5:24 PM - Astera looks over at homegrown again, standing up and shaking her mane slightly. "Do you know where the communication facility is located, it could be our next destination, if only to get the princesses advice.. Even getting them onto the ship by using one of the blanks, or even my own body if itis possible. I am sure they owuld know what to do in this situation.. They have been living for over a thousand years after all"
5:25 PM - Swept Wing totally meant to be asking Apollo about Ticonderoga.
5:26 PM - Swoop: "We went thru it on the way here."
5:27 PM - Swept Wing: "Err, Captain Ticonderoga I mean, sir."
5:34 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Apollo stumbles slighty again, "O-oh... C-Captain... he... he should be on the Bridge... o-other than that... I d-don't know..." Swept rounds the corner, and can see the light coming from Medical, the ponies milling about inside.
5:36 PM - Swept Wing nods, catching her again. "Alright." He looks up, spotting the others. "Hey!" He calls out to them.
5:37 PM - Swoop looks back and sees Swept. "Bout time you showed up!"
5:37 PM - Swept Wing: "A little help!"
5:38 PM - Swept Wing is supporting a bleeding Apollo.
5:38 PM - Swoop trots over to help.
5:38 PM - Clara also goes to help. "Oh no... what happened?"
5:39 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Homegrown gives Asstera's wounds another check, "Yes, the Communication Room with the soul device is on the way to the Gate Room from here. There is a secondary inter-ship communications center down in the lower decks though." She turns at the call from Swept and trots over quickly to the supply closet, grabbing out another IV, "Set her on a bed, carefully!"
5:39 PM - Astera groans and waves a hoof. She was about to go over and help but Swoop got that covered.
5:40 PM - Swept Wing: "She was attacked, nearly lost her leg. The Interface Control is frozen too." He helps Apollo over to a bed.
5:42 PM - Astera nods slighty at Homegrown, then she glances at the others. "So.. Should we contact the princessess?, I suggest yes, the diplomatic approach would be much more powerful if we had a princess to back us up. Or her advice upon what we should do. It might not be what oyu want too do but it is the right thing, and you know it."
5:46 PM - Swept Wing turns to Swoop after Apollo is on a bed. "What's the situation looking like down here?"
5:46 PM - Chameleon: Cammy is puttering around doing...soemthing.
5:47 PM - Swoop: "Comms smashed. Other than that, secure. We found him," She points at the changeling. "in the comm room."
5:48 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Homegrown grabs out a few rolls of bandages and a brace as well, trotting back quickly to the table where Apollo has been set down. She very delicately starts removing Apollo's armor and the sleeve that had been tied around her leg joint.
5:48 PM - Swept Wing nods. "Alright, well, I'm going to head back up and see if I can't figure out how to unlock the FIC. If I can do that, we're golden."
5:49 PM - Swoop: "Want me to come with?"
5:49 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: There's the sound of a mare clearing her throat, and then Kaifa's voice comes over Astera's PipBuck again, "So... you'd really contact the Princesses for me, would you?"
5:50 PM - Swept Wing nods. "Sure."
5:51 PM - Swoop nods. "Oh hey, did you get my gun?"
5:52 PM - Swept Wing shakes his head. "No, I had to get the Captain down here."
5:53 PM - Astera blinks, her mind going oh shit. "Yes.. Kaifa, I would. I think that the princessess would be a better diplomat then me in this issue."
5:53 PM - Swoop twitches. "...fine..."
5:55 PM - Swept Wing nods. "Well, you can get it while I start looking at the FIC then."
5:55 PM - Swept Wing: "Anyway, let's get moving."
5:56 PM - Swoop: "Nah it'll take too long.. it's two floors up."
5:56 PM - Swoop looks back at the group. "We'll be back."
5:57 PM - Astera looks back at Swoop. "Alright, be carefull.. Use the pipbuck if you need assistance"
5:57 PM - Chameleon: "Kaaaay."
5:57 PM - Swoop salutes and follows Swept.
5:57 PM - Swept Wing gallops off towards the Interface Room.
5:59 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: There's a gentle sniff, "Thank you, Countess..."
6:00 PM - Astera rolls off her clinical bed, standing up and shaking herself slightly. " Right.. Let us go and see if we can contact the princessess. Cammy, Clara, Hopes?" She heads for the door.
6:01 PM - Clara gives a sad sigh, following. "I hope this works..."
6:02 PM - Chameleon: Cammy follows Astera
6:02 PM - Swept Wing is gallloping for the Interface Room with Swoop. "My guess is that they just overloaded the system and crashed it. Pretty simple fix, just gotta reboot it if that's the case."
6:03 PM - Astera heads for wherever the comunications room was.
6:04 PM - Swoop gallops after him. "But how long would that take? And how close are we to the star?"
6:05 PM - Swept Wing: "Rebooting for an FIC of that complexity... like 30 mins probably. As for our distance from the star, I have no idea."
6:06 PM - Swept Wing: "If it's not just a simple reboot though, this is going to take some time."
6:06 PM - Swoop: "Could be cutting it real close"
6:06 PM - Swept Wing: "That's what I'm afraid of."
6:06 PM - Swoop: "Well, whatever it is, we got no choice."
6:07 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Hopes shakes her head a little, "I need to stay here and help take care of these two... I wouldn't be much use repairing anyways..."
6:09 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: The trip back to the FIC room is much shorter, without any doors in the way or crippled ponies to care for. The blue pony is still lying on the floor in a mixed pool of blood.
6:10 PM - Swept Wing: "Nope. Captain Apollo said they were headed for the star to refuel, so the course might just be locked in... dunno."
6:10 PM - Swoop: "Yeesh.. what happened to that one?"
6:10 PM - Swept Wing: "He's the one who attacked the Captain."
6:11 PM - Swoop: "Cap'n fucked him up."
6:12 PM - Swept Wing nods. "That she did..." He trots around the body to the Interface Cage. "Alright, now lets see what's going on with you..." He steps into it.
6:17 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Stepping into the cage, Swept gets no reaction from it at all. The images on the screens fixed, though interrupted by lines of compressed, static-like code
6:18 PM - Swoop looks over the consoles off to the side.
6:19 PM - Swept Wing frowns. "Hmm... whatever they did it wasn't a simple overload." He starts examining the lines of code.
6:20 PM - Swoop: "Maybe another program running... Overrides the ship controls."
6:20 PM - Astera is probably at the communications center by now, she looks about for anything that could be used as a communication link back to Equestria.
6:20 PM - Swept Wing: "Yeah, seems like it... Almost looks like a virus or something..."
6:21 PM - Swoop: "I knew I should ave paid more attention in Program Debug class..."
6:22 PM - Clara has no idea how any of this works... Hopefully Astera could point her in the right direction. "What are we looking for...?"
6:23 PM - Astera: "Im not sure.. Some sort of device, I think, that can connect us with equestria"
6:23 PM - Chameleon: Cammy just sticks around being guardlike
6:24 PM - Swoop disconnected.
6:25 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Upon closer examination of the code on the screen, Swept recognizes it as the base code for Destiny's systems. Inside the Com Room, Astera's team finds the controls just as they'd left them. The bank of consoles they found the changeling at appears to be less damaged than the other.
6:26 PM - Swept Wing steps out of the cage, moving to the consoles nearby, examining them as well. "Whatever it is, it's stripping the damn thing down to its base code."
6:27 PM - Astera trots up to the console an looks it over.
6:28 PM - Clara follows behind Astera, watching curiously.
6:30 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Astera recalls from the brifeing that one of the crew had contacted the princesses via the soul system, and that the communication had ended suddenly, it must have been that changeling. She also recognizes the damage to the consoles as being from a magical energy weapon, one with a very high rate of fire.
6:33 PM - Swept Wing is muttering to himself. He's taken his Aviators off, replacing them with a regular pair of glasses. "...no, can't be that. Hmmm, could steal parts from the Shuttle's FIC..." He continues looking over the consoles, trying to figure out what was causing the problem.
6:34 PM - Astera beep boops at the terminal, perhaps she could use it somehow too activate the communication?
6:39 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Astera tries her best to figure out a way to access the console, but as it is, she simply cannot get it to work, and she doesn't have any materials onhoof to repair it herself.
6:40 PM - Astera shakes her head and frowns at the terminal, glancing behind her she motions Clara forward. "Ah.. See if you can get it too work.."
6:44 PM - High Hopes has been invited to chat.
6:44 PM - High Hopes entered chat.
6:45 PM - Clara frowns. "But... how would I...?" She takes a hesitant step forward to inspect the console.
6:50 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Swept stares intently at the flight interface. He's close, he can almost feel the solution at the edge of his thought, and then the entire room goes dark. Only the light from the hallway outside lets him see, not even the emergency lighting is functioning.
6:51 PM - Swept Wing: "FUCKING SHIT!"
6:51 PM - Swept Wing: "Fucking..."
6:51 PM - Swept Wing sits down.
6:51 PM - Swept Wing: "Fuck..."
6:53 PM - Swept Wing buries his face in his hooves. "I give up..."
6:54 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Hopes and Homegrown have been busy reattaching Apollo's severed leg. The earth pony doctor just finished re-sanitizing it, setting her cloth down, "Hopes, would you please bandage the wound while I check over her vitals?"
6:55 PM - Swoop entered chat.
6:55 PM - High Hopes nods vigorously. "Y-Yes ma'am!" She says, bandaging the wound with her magic.
6:56 PM - Swoop backhoofs Swept. "Idiot!!"
6:57 PM - Swept Wing doesn't even try to move out of the way, just toppling onto the floor.
6:58 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: From looking over the console, Clara has no idea how she could possibly repair it. While she's looking around though, she notices a whole, red crystal in the back of the much more damaged console that is very close in appearance to one that's nearly blackened inside the console Astera was looking at.
7:00 PM - Swoop: "Ok... new plan. Get everypony we can and gate back home."
7:00 PM - Swept Wing: "Yeah... sure..."
7:01 PM - Swept Wing slumps against a console.
7:02 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Homegrown nods as she takes note of the readout, "Very nice. I think she's going to make a full recovery." She smiles wide as she takes note of Hopes' bandaging, "That's a remarkable job, dear. I can really tell you've been taking your studies seriously."
7:03 PM - Swoop puts a wing around Swept. "Come on..."
7:03 PM - Clara points out the crystal to Astera. "Can you use that to fix it...?"
7:03 PM - High Hopes blushes furiously at the barrage of compliments. "Wh-Why... thank you ma'am... It helps to have good teachers..."
7:05 PM - Astera blinks and inspects the crystal closer. "Ah perhaps...
7:05 PM - Swept Wing sits there for a minute. "Actually...no. Come on, better plan!" He leaps up, and gallops out of the forever-broken Interface Room, heading back for Medical, full speed.
7:06 PM - Swoop: "Better than surviving??" She hesitantly follows after.
7:06 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Homegrown smiles back gently, "Why don't you go ahead and wash up, then you can go check on your friends, Hopes. They're both going to be just fine, so I can easily keep an eye on them now."
7:08 PM - Swept Wing gallops back down to Medical. "Captain!"
7:08 PM - High Hopes nods and trots over to the sink, begins washing her hooves.
7:12 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Very carefully, Astera begins to replace the crystal that Clara pointed out. With the changeling's help, she's able to find a few others that can be replaced as well. The machine is no longer sparking, and some of the crystals are even lighting back up.
7:12 PM - Swept Wing comes skidding into Medical. "Captain!"
7:13 PM - Swoop flaps to a stop behind him.
7:13 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Homegrown looks at Swept and raises a hoof, "Keep your voice down in a hospital."
7:13 PM - High Hopes looks up at Swept and smiles gently. "The Captain is going to make a full recovery!" She says cheerily.
7:15 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Apollo is still under the effects of anesthesia, but she looks up at the two pegasi slowly.
7:15 PM - Swept Wing: "The FIC is toast, if we can't find another place to fly the ship from, we're fucked in all kinds of ways."
7:16 PM - High Hopes blanches. "W-What?"
7:16 PM - Swoop: "Yeah we're screwed six ways from Celestia."
7:16 PM - Astera attempts to beep boop the machine a second time, now that it was fixed perhaps she would be in better luck.
7:17 PM - Swept Wing nods. "The whole room went dark without any reason, and we don't have time to find out what happened."
7:20 PM - Swept Wing looks over at Apollo. "Captain?"
7:20 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: The lilac pegasus drops gently back to her pillow, "I see... well... fortunately that's not... It's the best way to control the ship... Without the command room she turns like a whale on a mountain tiger..."
7:21 PM - Swept Wing nods. "Where is it?"
7:21 PM - Swoop perks her ears.
7:22 PM - High Hopes watches Apollo, shaking a little. Were... were they going to die?
7:23 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Homegrown puts a reassuring hoof on Hope's shoulder.
7:23 PM - High Hopes jumps a little, but after calming herself down a little, she nods.
7:26 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Apollo closes her eyes slowly, falling asleep. Homegrown smiles softly and trots forward to pull a blanket over the recovering mare, "Well, I don't think you need to worry. Your other friends are working on a way to end this peacefully. And as the Captain was trying to say, the Flight Interface room isn't entirely necessary. Either the Control Interface Room or the Bridge can be used to pilot the ship if they're working."
7:27 PM - Swoop: "Bridge it is then!"
7:27 PM - Swept Wing: "Control Interface Room or Bridge, got it."
7:28 PM - Swept Wing looks to Swoop, nodding. "I've got a hunch too... that might be where Kaifa is... Let's go."
7:28 PM - Swoop grins. "First my room!"
7:29 PM - Swept Wing: "It's on the way."
7:29 PM - Swoop: "Thus my plan!"
7:29 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Astera's playing with the console finally yields some results. After hitting one of the bigger shiney buttons, she feels her eyelids suddenly start to feel quite heavy.
7:29 PM - Swoop gallops off.
7:29 PM - Swept Wing gallops after her.
7:30 PM - Astera staggers slightly too the side. "Oh.. I.. I think I did it.."
7:31 PM - High Hopes blinks as her teammates depart. "M-Ma'am... what do we do now?"
7:31 PM - Swept Wing keys his radio, specifically to Astera. "Hey, Astera, we're headed up to the bridge. FIC is toast, and if we can't fly the ship we will be too. I also think that might be where Kaifa is too."
7:31 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: There are some large, plush chairs against one of the walls, two of them seem to have taken some stray fire, but the other two look very inviting.
7:32 PM - Clara tries to steady Astera. "Oh! You did...? So what happens now?"
7:33 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: Homegrown smiles gently at Hopes, "Well, dear, as I said, three of your other friends are trying to get communications back online, you could always check on them, I'm sure they'd like that."
7:34 PM - Astera sits down next to Clara, leaning against her. "I... Have no idea. Lifting her pipbuck, she calls back to Swept. "Rodger that.. We'll be with you in a moment
7:34 PM - High Hopes gives a confident nod and quickly collects her medical tools. "Right! I'll do that. Thank you, ma'am... and... stay safe, please."
7:36 PM - Swept Wing follows Swoop up to her room. "Roger that Astera. Better hurry though, I don't know how close we are to that star."
7:41 PM - GM||WavemasterRyx: The next time Astera closes her eyes, Clara watches as her body goes limp, a soft glow pulsing from her pipbuck. When Astera next opens her eyes, she finds herself staring at a pair of smiling monochromatic ponies, warmth like a gentle hug enveloping her body. From just outside the room she's now sitting in, she can hear a stallion's voice call out, "We have a connetion!"
