  1. Seaarcher introduces himself. He and his team of Tasuku and Garamu entered the YACS Tokyo 3v3 as Goblin Bikers and won, and so this video will explain their deck. He also promotes his “Friday Yugioh Channel” so go subscribe to that channel too if you want.
  2. What are Goblin Riders?
  3. they are an XYZ deck, for a meta centred on XYZ monsters. Both their main deck monsters and spell cards lets you detach XYZ materials from anywhere on field, meaning it’s a perfect fit for the current “OCG TierGOD Ryzeal” meta.
  4. This deck uses 13 handtraps and 11 starters that double as interruptions against XYZ monsters (detaching materials for example), so it’s pretty obvious that this deck (with this 24 card core) has a good matchup against Ryzeal.
  5. The result was that his team, in total, went 6-2 against Ryzeal players specifically, about a 75% winrate against Ryzeal during that 3v3.
  6. What about other decks?
  7. When going first, you can potentially still end on 5~7 interruptions. When going second, you have plenty of cards that can help dodge and exhaust many kinds of interruptions your opponent may have. The fact this is a rank3 deck means you can use extenders such as Terrortop or E-tele, but also Goblin Biker’s Grand Breakout acts like R-ACE’s EMERGENCY to help dodge interactions.
  8. Nibiru is definitely a problem for this deck, but currently it’s not being played as much. If Nibiru does come back, then Seaarcher suggests adding Gossip Shadow or Wave High King Caesar, which you can easily make.
  9. Because you’re an XYZ deck, it’s expected to see Dimensional Barrier [in Ryzeal meta] but the (fiendsmith) links can easily do a OTK under it, giving Goblin Bikers another edge against this counter/meta card.
  10.
  11.
  12. The Deck
  13. Main Deck
  14. Handtrap lineup
  15. Maxx C x2, Multcharmy Fuwaros x3: Good against most things. Although Ryzeal can pivot into making Bagooska under Fuwaros, this deck can easily deal with either that or a Deadnader. Virus Swordsman is also in the Extra for Bagooska specifically.
  16. Ash blossom x3: For Maxx C. It’s also a level 3 so you can potentially normal it for a rank 3 body.
  17. Ghost Ogre x1: Usable in current (Ryzeal) meta but also a potential target for E-tele.
  18. Effect Veiler x1: Both just as a handtrap but also a crossout target. Side note: So long as you can stop DuoDrive, the goblin bikers can regain advantage very quickly
  19. Imperm x3: it’s veiler but also can be used if you draw it for turn.
  20. Goblin Biker Monsters
  21. Gone Wild x2: Though opening with it is very strong, the fact the deck has a lot of potential normal summons made Seaarcher use 2 instead.
  22. Dugg x3: Main starter but also a Ryzeal counter card. Must be at max.
  23. Clatter x1: To Be Searched
  24. Merciless x1: To Be Searched
  25. *About Boom Mach: Initially Seaarcher considered a scenario where he gets hit by Maxx C or Fuwaros upon a summon of any 3: Boom Mach could potentially be 1 interruption by making the 3s on board into Gabonga but in current yugioh, 1 interruption usually isn’t enough so at that point you’re going to lose anyway. Therefore, he doesn’t think this is a necessary inclusion.
  26. Extenders
  27. PUNK Ze Amin x2: another way to get 3s on board but because it can be summoned through E-tele, it can be used as an extender.
  28. PUNK Foxy Tune x1: For Ze Amin
  29. Terrortop x2: “Terrortop set” has a lot of utility, either as your starting play, fishing for interrupts, discard fodder, etc.
  30. Taketomborg x1: For Terrortop
  31. *Seaarcher has tried using Tour Guide but felt this deck has a lot of starting plays (in a stream highlight he said “too many normal summons”) that the package isn’t necessary. But also, Tour Guide doesn’t have much utility unlike the others (in extending through or fishing interruptions).
  32. Fiendsmith Monsters
  33. Engraver x1
  34. Lacrima x1
  35. Lurrie x1
  36. By going through the Fiendsmith line, you not only can strengthen your endboard but also get Crazy Beast out a lot easier. Desirae also gives the Goblin Bikers a negate, which they don’t inherently have.
  37. Goblin Biker Spells
  38. Grand Entrance x3: Starter, but also a counter card into a Ryzeal board. This alone can remove all materials from a Deadnader: 1 from the simultaneous effect upon searching a goblin biker (Dugg), the graveyard effect, and using the searched Dugg’s effect. In addition, the second effect doesn’t need a Goblin Biker in the graveyard in order to activate the detaching effect.
  39. Grand Breakout x3: Starter and helps you dodge interaction. The Graveyard effect is also very useful to help keep your Masquerena alive but also activate Gabonga’s effect on field.
  40. Other S/T
  41. Fiendsmith Tract x1: For starting the Fiendsmith line
  42. E-tele x2: starter but also can get Ghost Ogre out as an interruption
  43. Called by x2/Crossout Designator x1: For stopping handtraps/etc
  44. Full-Armored XYZ x1: Part of your endboard interruptions, also can be used as fodder for Bao A Qu (Link4)
  45.
  46. Extra Deck
  47. Fiendsmith Desirae: x2 Negate
  48. Fiendsmith Lacrima: Extender
  49. Full Armored Dark Knight Lancer: Interruption, usually summoned through Full Armored XYZ. Or you can summon it on your turn to recycle the Full-Armored XYZ you discarded as cost.
  50. Goblin’s Crazy Beast: It’s 1-2 interruption by attaching Gone Wild when reviving itself from Grave. Because of its ability to revive itself, it’s perfect to be used as link material
  51. XYZ Armor Fortress: Part of your combo.
  52. Big Gabonga x2: Part of your combo and interruption. There’s a lot of times the second copy comes up either through your beginning combo or later on in the match.
  53. A-Bao A Qu, The Lightless Shadow: Extremely important. Part of your endboard and combo. Not negotiable.
  54. Fiendsmith’s Agnumday: Both for OTK and link climbing for Bao
  55. Fiendsmith’s Sequence: For making Desirae or Lacrima.
  56. Moon of the Closed Heaven: For Fiendsmith
  57. Codebreaker Virus Swordsman: Specifically for Bagooska. Probably best to include if Ryzeal is still around.
  58. SP: self-explanatory interruption.
  59. IP: Interruption. You can use her normally or have Bao use its revival effect to make Masq into an interruption (by making SP).
  60. Fiendsmith’s Requiem: For fiendsmith
  61. Side Deck
  62. Nibiru x2: For combo-heavy decks ie Maliss or even the mirror. Not really used for Ryzeal since they can easily play under it.
  63. Artifact Lancea x3: For Maliss.
  64. Artifact Scythe x1: For going first. Bao A Qu makes it a lot easier to bring out scythe (just by reviving it from grave)
  65. Effect Veiler x2: To increase the amount of handtraps
  66. Book of Eclipse x3: For Ryzeal. Great synergy with Goblin Bikers because you can still detach materials from face-down XYZ monsters.
  67. Red Reboot x1: For Maliss and other decks that side in floodgates/other trap cards.
  68. Artifact Sanctum x3: For Going first.
  69. Side Boarding Patterns:
  70. Sided out when going first:
  71. Fuwaros x2
  72. Imperm x2
  73.
  74. Depending on matchup
  75. Ghost Ogre
  76. Effect Veiler
  77. etc
  78.
  79. Sided out when going second:
  80. Grand Breakout x2
  81. Crossout Designator x1
  82. Full-Armored XYZ x1
  83.
  84. Depending on matchup:
  85. “Terrortop Set” x3: Taken out against Ryzeal as it’s not great into an established board (it’ll just get destroyed by deadnader)
  86. Dugg x1: Usually against non-xyz decks ie Maliss
  87. Ghost Ogre/Veiler/etc: Depends on whether the opponent’s deck can easily dodge these kinds of targetting/interruptions. Replaceable with side deck handtraps.
  88.
  89. Sided in when going first against Ryzeal:
  90. Artifact Sanctum x3
  91. Nibiru x1: Mostly as a Crossout Designator target
  92. Artifact Scythe x1
  93. Sided in when going second against Ryzeal:
  94. Nibiru x1
  95. Veiler x2
  96. Book of Eclipse x3
  97. Reboot x1
  98.
  99. Sided in when going first against Maliss:
  100. Artifact Sanctum x3
  101. Artifact Lancea x3
  102. Artifact Scythe x1
  103. Sided in when going second against Maliss:
  104. Nibiru x2
  105. Artifact Lancea x3
  106. Reboot x1
  107.
  108. For other decks, Seaarcher only notes x3 Sanctum x1 Scythe for going first. The siding patterns for going second depends on what cards are good in the matchup.
  109.
