Guelph This & That is Guelph's online neighbourhood. We just have 3 simple guidelines for interacting with your online neighbours:

1) Keep posts and comments about or relevant to Guelph
2) Keep posts and comments light (cheerful, kind) - and tight (to the point :))!
3) Let others be wrong at times. Discussion is healthy but never lose sight of the bigger things.

FAQs!
Q: Why is my post not showing up?
A: a) because you are trying to sell a product or service. GT&T is not a Buy/Sell group. We also do not allow promotion of other Facebook groups without approval from Admin. Or,
b) because it has already been posted. We try not to have double posts.
c) because it does not meet the 3 guidelines (eg: not relevant to Guelph)

Q: Why can't I share a post from GT&T?
A: We feel your pain. This has to do with when this group was originally set up. Currently our group's Privacy settings won't allow sharing or let us change it. FB has told us they are working on a solution for us. Fingers crossed! You can always take a screenshot of a post and share it.

Q: What should I do if I don't like a post or a comment?
A: Guelph This and That is an inclusive, friendly and welcoming community. While debate is healthy, any personal attacks, name calling, racism, sexism or harassment WILL NOT BE tolerated. We like it when members keep things civil. If a post or a comment breaches these boundaries, please report it to the moderators.

A: We have a team of 5-6 wonderful Guelphites who
contribute to keep this crazy machine running.

Q: Will you be having more contests in the future?
A: YES! YES! YES!

Q: I have photos or videos of potentially illegal activity (eg: break-in security camera footage), can I share it with the group to raise awareness or to identify the culprits?
A: No, sorry. Posts that seek to "name and shame" individuals or groups will not be accepted due to liability reasons. Please take your evidence to the relevant authorities.

Q: I'm interested in contributing to this group because I write or make video content that is Guelph community based and would like to reach your audience.
