  1. 4:56 PM] SwaDM: There was indeed a party. And it was, as some would call it, rather tiring and interesting. But before that, the party had swung over to Nerville - and as such, attention will be briefly drawn back towards that area, and the brief encounter with the two of the Faceless (Or well, technically just one now) within the ruined city.
  2.
  3. After Kiran had finished drawing up plans for the HUND's engine alterations, night would have properly settled in . A few party members would be, by now, retiring to sleep. Leon does still seem to be working on the engraved monuments, but he does not appear to be particularly tired or overworking himself, so that's likely not something to worry about.
  4.
  5. Libra, on the meanwhile, appears to have either just recently finished the process of purifying the rock salt she was working with - or on the process of finishing it, as she is retrieving the small, metallic container that is filled with it, afore starting to distribute it in small, polygonal vials.
  6. [4:58 PM] Kiran: Makes a nice change that he's not overworking himself.
  7. [4:58 PM] SwaDM: The same could be said for Kiran.
  8. [4:58 PM] Kiran: Touché.
  9. [4:58 PM] SwaDM: GOTTAM
  10. [4:59 PM] Kiran: approaches where Libra is working carefully, trying to decide whether it is in some way disrespectful to stand on the purifying salts.
  11. [4:59 PM] SwaDM: While you have no idea...it probably is?
  12. [5:00 PM] SwaDM: Then again, it's just salt. Would standing on it depurify it? What would happen if a Celestial walked on it? Would it become even more purifying salts? Is there such a thing as purifying wine?
  13. [5:00 PM] Kiran: He will attempt to circumnavigate it anyway.
  14. [5:01 PM] SwaDM: Thankfully easy, as the container is fairly small, and infront of Libra - she is currently sat upon a fallen log - and as such, circumnavigation is honestly very easy.
  15. [5:03 PM] Kiran: "Hi Libra. How did the salt all come out?"
  16. [5:04 PM] SwaDM: "Kiran."
  17. [5:04 PM] SwaDM: "I cannot tell if you are asking me the condition of the salt, or how salt is made."
  18. [5:04 PM] Kiran: "I mean how did the purification go?"
  19. [5:04 PM] SwaDM: "As it should be. It is not a difficult proccess."
  20. [5:05 PM] Kiran: "Glad to hear it. Have you been here with the Psychopomps long?"
  21. [5:06 PM] SwaDM: "Not...particularly."
  22. [5:06 PM] SwaDM: "It has been...what - three days? Or was it four? I believe four."
  23. [5:07 PM] Kiran: "How are you doing?"
  24. [5:07 PM] SwaDM: "Well, I suppose."
  25. [5:09 PM] Kiran: contemplates, then sits down on the ground.
  26. [5:09 PM] Kiran: "That's a pretty short answer, considering everything that's happened."
  27. [5:10 PM] SwaDM: "What do you mean by that? It is not as if I am going to give you a detailed description of my feelings, am I?"
  28. [5:12 PM] Kiran: "Maybe not. But the option's there."
  29. [5:12 PM] Kiran: shrugs.
  30. [5:12 PM] Kiran: "I'm glad that you're both okay, anyway."
  31. [5:13 PM] SwaDM: "Thank you. I am similarly glad that nothing befell any of you ,either."
  32. [5:13 PM] SwaDM: "...Partially because it is somewhat doubtful if Lord Neviltis could have retrieved us in time if you had failed, of course."
  33. [5:14 PM] Kiran: "I have no idea what his reach is. It was a close-run thing for us getting out too."
  34. [5:15 PM] SwaDM: "Intervention from our respective patrons becomes difficult the more the Void has it's presence in an area, to simplify matters."
  35. [5:15 PM] Kiran: "I think it's the same for us."
  36. [5:15 PM] SwaDM: "It is, yes."
  37. [5:15 PM] Kiran: looks over at Leon.
  38. [5:16 PM] Kiran: "How's he doing?"
  39. [5:16 PM] Kiran: "Leon, I mean."
  40. [5:16 PM] SwaDM: "...I'm sorry, who are you talking about?"
  41. [5:16 PM] SwaDM: Libra tilts their head slightly towards Kiran
  42. [5:16 PM] SwaDM: "Ah."
  43. [5:17 PM] SwaDM: "I'm...unsure. He is harder to read then I had originally anticipated."
  44. [5:17 PM] SwaDM: "That being said, he is more centered."
  45. [5:17 PM] Kiran: "Did you find him easier to read before all of this?"
  46. [5:17 PM] SwaDM: "...No."
  47. [5:17 PM] SwaDM: "I thought he was easier to read."
  48. [5:18 PM] SwaDM: "Do you understand what I mean?"
  49. [5:19 PM] Kiran: "Ah. You don't understand him as much as you thought?"
  50. [5:19 PM] SwaDM: "Hm. It is similar to Blake, in that regard."
  51. [5:19 PM] Kiran: "How so?"
  52. [5:20 PM] SwaDM: "Well, similar and different. Blake, akin to myself, is professional. Considerably so."
  53. [5:20 PM] SwaDM: "He guards his emotions and thoughts extremely well - and as such, it is difficult to perceive anything beyond them."
  54. [5:20 PM] Kiran: "He's an intensely private person."
  55. [5:20 PM] SwaDM: "Indeed. And I admire him for it."
  56. [5:21 PM] Kiran: "He's easier to understand through what he does, I think."
  57. [5:21 PM] SwaDM: "You will forgive me for saying that your side truly does need more professional people like him."
  58. [5:21 PM] SwaDM: "Rev...well, Leon, on the meanwhile, is similarly hard to read - not because he is guarded, but because he is a rather ridiculously good actor."
  59. [5:22 PM] Kiran: "I somewhat agree with you about professionalism."
  60. [5:22 PM] SwaDM: "And thank you. Understand that I meant no offense by it."
  61. [5:23 PM] Kiran: "Of course. I can understand you might sometimes find some of my behaviour objectionable, but I know that you know that despite that, I still give everything my full attention and effort. That's one thing. Then there's people like Raven."
  62. [5:23 PM] SwaDM: "I earnestly tried to help her, too. More out of pity then anything, mind you, but still."
  63. [5:24 PM] Kiran: "We all did our best with her. It hurts to admit, but I think her value was mainly in raw firepower."
  64. [5:24 PM] Kiran: sighs.
  65. [5:24 PM] SwaDM: She shakes her head. "My point is - Leon's...well, he's always been far looser and more "playful" then I would like. Almost irresponsible, even. Although through our personal interactions, I could see that there was a softer, more serious and responsible side to him, I...never managed to perceive his true self."
  66. [5:25 PM] SwaDM: "The retracted bitterness and willfulness. Yet now that I've seen it, he's just-..."
  67. [5:25 PM] SwaDM: "...Back to being loose and playful again."
  68. [5:25 PM] SwaDM: "I don't know if that's acting or not, this time around."
  69. [5:27 PM] Kiran: "I feel a kind of empathy with him. Based on that, I don't think that even he knows if he's acting this time. Suddenly he has his identity as Reveno, and his memories in full, and he'll take some time to figure out who he is. Or who he chooses to be."
  70. [5:27 PM] Kiran: "So. Be patient, I guess, is my advice. If it's okay for me to offer any."
  71. [5:28 PM] SwaDM: "It is fine. I do not make conversation to then reject pointers - that would be childish and arrogant."
  72. [5:28 PM] Kiran: shrugs.
  73. [5:28 PM] Kiran: "... shrug."
  74. [5:28 PM] SwaDM: "...Yes, thank you."
  75. [5:29 PM] SwaDM: They briefly bring their hand up to their mouth in a closed fist, supressing a brief chuckle.
  76. [5:29 PM] Kiran: also lets out a quiet little laugh.
  77. [5:30 PM] Kiran: "What's working with Raken like?"
  78. [5:30 PM] SwaDM: "Easier then you would expect, if I'm honest."
  79. [5:30 PM] SwaDM: "He does not have the temperament for quieter work, certainly."
  80. [5:31 PM] Kiran: "I've always been intimidated by him, but when we were eating together... he surprised me."
  81. [5:31 PM] SwaDM: "However, at the same time, he is a straightforward individual. Easy to direct towards something."
  82. [5:31 PM] SwaDM: "Well, you should be intimidated by him. He is a warrior - and a primal one at that. Make no mistake - if he had to, he would kill you without batting an eye."
  83. [5:31 PM] SwaDM: "But why?"
  84. [5:33 PM] Kiran: "I'm intimidated by the combat prowess of each and every one of you. But Raken in particular, simply because of how individually strong he is, and his... I feel like, out of all of you, he would hesitate the least if it came down to killing someone. And that scares me."
  85. [5:33 PM] SwaDM: "I meant the surprise bit, Kiran."
  86. [5:33 PM] SwaDM: "And yes - you are not wrong. Well, perhaps him and Jugo are evenly matched on the killing department, but still."
  87. [5:34 PM] Kiran: "Ah. He was... gentle, I suppose - and shared something that he enjoyed with me, just because I said I missed it from home."
  88. [5:34 PM] Kiran: "The kindness seemed incongruous. Or maybe it was meant to test me. I don't know."
  89. [5:34 PM] SwaDM: "Not everything is a test, or has a hidden meaning behind it."
  90. [5:34 PM] SwaDM: "We are all ultimately people, Kiran."
  91. [5:35 PM] Kiran: "I know. In his case, I think that's what surprised me."
  92. [5:35 PM] SwaDM: "Raken had a home. He misses it, too - as do you miss yours."
  93. [5:35 PM] SwaDM: "Enemies can see sympathy and connections between one another - that is not anything new."
  94. [5:36 PM] Kiran: "I think I also just know him the least out of all of you, so he seemed more alien to me."
  95. [5:36 PM] SwaDM: She inclines her head.
  96. [5:36 PM] SwaDM: "Congratulations."
  97. [5:36 PM] SwaDM: "You now understand why our war is the way it is."
  98. 5:35 PM] SwaDM: "Enemies can see sympathy and connections between one another - that is not anything new."
  99. [5:36 PM] Kiran: "I think I also just know him the least out of all of you, so he seemed more alien to me."
  100. [5:36 PM] SwaDM: She inclines her head.
  101. [5:36 PM] SwaDM: "Congratulations."
  102. [5:36 PM] SwaDM: "You now understand why our war is the way it is."
  103. [5:36 PM] Kiran: "Oh?"
  104. [5:37 PM] SwaDM: "You were remarking previously about how much better it would be if we all could just talk to one another - no?"
  105. [5:37 PM] Kiran: "Yes."
  106. [5:38 PM] SwaDM: "Hm. And it could certainly happen. I will be blunt - I have little doubt that, should the right people on each side converse with one another, the conflict between our groups would cease in a matter of months, at the very worst."
  107. [5:39 PM] SwaDM: "However, that cessation of conflict is precisely what we do not desire. And neither does your side, believe it or not. In a normal war - like you had seen in the United Fagian Federation, a solution can be found - after all, nobody - apart from a scant few - truly wish war for war's sake."
  108. [5:39 PM] SwaDM: "However, should we end our war - then what? We would work together again? We can't. Would we co-ordinate operations on different worlds? Would that truly work? No. For one we affect would tip the balance towards one side, while draining from the other. Would we attack the Void together? We also know that does not work."
  109. [5:40 PM] SwaDM: She gives out a light shrug, herself.
  110. [5:41 PM] SwaDM: "Albeit it is framed as such, our war is not merely one of ideology - but instead, of necessity. One of us must prevail - to dominate, so that we may have enough power to affect the Void."
  111. [5:41 PM] SwaDM: She raises up one finger.
  112. [5:41 PM] SwaDM: "Which is why we do not communicate."
  113. [5:42 PM] Kiran: "Why must one side be weakened to strengthen the other? What finite resource determines that?"
  114. [5:42 PM] SwaDM: "The tendence of Glimmer. I suppose you missed that scheme of things, as you have never deployed to a world for that purpose."
  115. [5:42 PM] SwaDM: "Your friends have, however."
  116. [5:43 PM] SwaDM: "Stimulating certain occourences in a world to one side will end up empowering one of our patrons. For an example - have you heard of the world that your friends had previously saved, before you joined them?"
  117. [5:44 PM] Kiran: "Only a little. Something about an antimagic dictator summoning a massive spirit of death that somehow related to the Void in a way nobody has actually explained to me."
  118. [5:44 PM] Kiran: sighs.
  119. [5:44 PM] SwaDM: "It wasn't related to the Void, but I guess none of your group are very good at explaining it."
  120. [5:45 PM] Kiran: "I'm beginning to feel like I might need to sit down with Spera and ask her to catch me up on everything relating to glimmer and the war, because I am consistently realising a universal truth."
  121. [5:45 PM] SwaDM: "It was some sort of primal creature linked towards the ideal of death itself that welcomed the Void. Bizarre, if you ask me."
  122. [5:45 PM] Kiran: puts his head in his hands, and lets out a groan.
  123. [5:45 PM] SwaDM: "Is the universal truth "Nobody tells me anything, please help?"
  124. [5:45 PM] Kiran: "And none of them ask enough questions!"
  125. [5:46 PM] Kiran: "The thing with the medallions? I mean come on!"
  126. [5:46 PM] SwaDM: "While you ask too many questions. Maybe that's why Spera put you together with them..."
  127. [5:46 PM] SwaDM: "Still - as you had previously asked - yes. It was a dictator of tremendous power."
  128. [5:47 PM] SwaDM: "By unseating him from his position, and breaking down his grip upon the continent, the constant conflict between the forces trying to break out of their yoke was broken - instead replaced by the dawning hope of truly being able to move past such a ruler, and reclaiming their identity as a people."
  129. [5:48 PM] SwaDM: "That singular act both decreased significantly the passive flow of aligned energy towards Neviltis in that dimension, while significantly increasing the flow towards Spera - which in turn, allows the allocation of greater resources and manipulation of matter to eventually use against the Void."
  130. [5:48 PM] SwaDM: "In short - if we just worked together and gave one world to another, then one to ourselves, we would...just be in the same spot forever."
  131. [5:48 PM] SwaDM: "While the Void grows."
  132. [5:48 PM] Kiran: looks blankly at her.
  133. [5:48 PM] SwaDM: can't see.
  134. [5:49 PM] Kiran: "They're empowered by the state of the worlds across the multiverse?"
  135. [5:49 PM] SwaDM: "...Oh come the hell on, Kiran."
  136. [5:49 PM] SwaDM: "Not even that?"
  137. [5:49 PM] SwaDM: "I know that every single one of your friends knows this."
  138. [5:49 PM] Kiran: lets out another groan and flops onto his back.
  139. [5:49 PM] Kiran: "Oh my god."
  140. [5:49 PM] SwaDM: "Goddess."
  141. [5:50 PM] SwaDM: briefly corrects Kiran, shaking her head.
  142. [5:50 PM] Kiran: raises a hand from his spot on the ground to punctuate his next point.
  143. [5:51 PM] SwaDM: can't see. HAHA.
  144. [5:51 PM] Kiran: "While you are correct, I prefer to express frustration by invoking gods other than my own."
  145. [5:51 PM] SwaDM: "Fair."
  146. [5:52 PM] Kiran: sighs.
  147. [5:52 PM] Kiran: "Well, that's a frustrating fact about the multiverse."
  148. [5:52 PM] SwaDM: "Nothing's ever simple."
  149. [5:52 PM] Kiran: "And why haven't we all just fought to the death yet?"
  150. [5:53 PM] SwaDM: "We've been trying."
  151. [5:53 PM] SwaDM: "I know you fought in some skirmishes beforehand. In worlds not affected by the Void, we are able to set up failsafes sometimes to prevent the death of agents."
  152. [5:53 PM] SwaDM: "You've experienced that."
  153. [5:53 PM] Kiran: "Wait. Wait wait wait. The sparring affected things?"
  154. [5:54 PM] SwaDM: "Now, from recent records, what was happened is that we were beating back Speran forces overall for a couple of years - afore the tide gradually begun to turn back towards your group's favour."
  155. [5:54 PM] SwaDM: "...You weren't sparring."
  156. [5:54 PM] Kiran: props himself up on his elbows.
  157. [5:54 PM] SwaDM: "I suppose you did not know precisely - Spera did not either - but remember how you intercepted Adalet?"
  158. [5:54 PM] Kiran: "You mean they were actually trying to kill me?"
  159. [5:54 PM] SwaDM: "Intelligence suggests you did so because dimensional ripples indicated that we were moving material from that place, to the UFF."
  160. [5:55 PM] SwaDM: "Adalet was moving a cache of Azurite he had retrieved. So while killing was almost not possible due to these failsafes, the skirmishes occoured to either secure strategic points or deny resources to a different side to then affect the state of a world."
  161. [5:55 PM] Kiran: sighs, looking up at the sky.
  162. [5:56 PM] SwaDM: "Ergo : Since we cannot reliably kill eachother, what we do is gain more and more ground against one another."
  163. 5:56 PM] Kiran: "I was not aware of this."
  164. [5:56 PM] SwaDM: "Feel free to share it with your friends later, just in case, I suppose..."
  165. [5:56 PM] SwaDM: "Of course- then we ultimately have the question - why don't I just kill you right now? Or vice versa."
  166. [5:57 PM] SwaDM: She shrugs again. "Well. In a way, I should, but..."
  167. [5:57 PM] Kiran: laughs.
  168. [5:57 PM] Kiran: "It'd be profoundly unsportsmanlike."
  169. [5:57 PM] SwaDM: "You know how it is."
  170. [5:57 PM] Kiran: "And I don't want to."
  171. [5:57 PM] SwaDM: "That's the problem."
  172. [5:57 PM] SwaDM: "I don't want to, either."
  173. [5:57 PM] Kiran: "Thank goodness."
  174. [5:58 PM] SwaDM: "Our group's friendship was unprecedented - and to be wholly frank, unhelpful to the grand scheme of things."
  175. [5:58 PM] SwaDM: "But as I said - we're...ultimately just people."
  176. [5:58 PM] Kiran: "Sorry."
  177. [5:59 PM] Kiran: sounds sincere. Because of course he does.
  178. [5:59 PM] SwaDM: "You have nothing to apologize for."
  179. [5:59 PM] SwaDM: "...Still. Do things make more sense now?"
  180. [6:00 PM] Kiran: "You know, somewhat ironically."
  181. [6:00 PM] Kiran: "I think if I'd wound up on your side, you'd probably have been more likely to kill me."
  182. [6:00 PM] SwaDM: "Huh?"
  183. [6:01 PM] Kiran: laughs.
  184. [6:01 PM] Kiran: "Oh, right. We never really spoke back when I'd first started out. Just trust me."
  185. [6:01 PM] SwaDM: "I mean, I've heard horror stories."
  186. [6:02 PM] Kiran: "Horror seems like a strong word."
  187. [6:02 PM] SwaDM: "A bizarre mixture of Leon at his worst, the social acuity of Sir Damien, then coupled together with Raken's recklessness."
  188. [6:02 PM] Kiran: "... you know, I take it back, horror is fair."
  189. [6:02 PM] SwaDM: "I figured."
  190. [6:04 PM] Kiran: "Is it rude if I ask why you were affected by being resurrected?"
  191. [6:04 PM] SwaDM: "No, it's not."
  192. [6:04 PM] SwaDM: "You don't have healing knowledge, after all."
  193. [6:04 PM] SwaDM: "I was not returned immediately."
  194. [6:04 PM] SwaDM: "When you die, your soul remains anchored to your body for a few seconds, afore truly passing on."
  195. [6:05 PM] SwaDM: "If you are returned to life before that, you suffer no ill effects from the Void's interference."
  196. [6:06 PM] Kiran: "Ah. Yeah, that would make sense. Sorry to hear you went through that."
  197. [6:06 PM] SwaDM: "It's fine. A natural risk that comes with our duties."
  198. [6:06 PM] Kiran: "Did it bother the psychopomps at all?"
  199. [6:06 PM] SwaDM: "Hm? No, why would it?"
  200. [6:07 PM] Kiran: "I don't know. Is resurrection not against the natural order of life and/or death?"
  201. [6:08 PM] SwaDM: "It depends on the form of ressurection. They accept some of them - the biggest thing they truly despise is those that cannot accept their deaths, or exist in an unnatural state - undeath, Graveknights, for an example."
  202. [6:08 PM] SwaDM: "Furthermore, I died fighting the unnatural foes that they have outright been fearing - and as such, it is justifiable for me to return to life to continue this duty."
  203. [6:09 PM] Kiran: "Oh, I see. Because the way you died was itself unnatural, it's totally fine to reverse."
  204. [6:09 PM] SwaDM: "And even if it wasn't - it would be acceptable for me to return to life if I was not strictly breaking taboo by doing so."
  205. [6:10 PM] Kiran: "Okay. Makes much more sense now."
  206. [6:11 PM] Kiran: "Things in your auguries still end in horrible, horrible bloodshed?"
  207. [6:11 PM] SwaDM: There's a brief ammount of silence from Libra - afore she merely gives a nod.
  208. [6:12 PM] Kiran: sighs.
  209. [6:12 PM] Kiran: "Well, at least we know in advance."
  210. [6:12 PM] SwaDM: "I'm impressed you remember that, to be frank."
  211. [6:12 PM] Kiran: "Horrible, horrible bloodshed tends to stick with you."
  212. [6:12 PM] SwaDM: "Well, I didn't say horrible..."
  213. [6:12 PM] Kiran: "It was reasonably implicit, I think."
  214. [6:12 PM] SwaDM: "Bloodshed has a surprising ammount of variants, actually."
  215. [6:13 PM] SwaDM: "My perceptions of the future are not visual - at least, not usually. They're sensations coupled with words, sound - often times practically poetry."
  216. [6:14 PM] SwaDM: "It all ends in blood, as most things do - but within that interpretation, one cannot be certain as to what precisely that means."
  217. [6:14 PM] SwaDM: "Of course, if it means that one of you steps on a tack and it bleeds a little, I will have to strangle everyone within a five mile wide radius."
  218. [6:15 PM] Kiran: "I will ensure that I wear neck protection to the apocalypse, then."
  219. [6:15 PM] SwaDM: "Hm."
  220. [6:16 PM] Kiran: "I don't suppose you know how long we have, do you?"
  221. [6:16 PM] SwaDM: "That's rather impossible to know."
  222. [6:16 PM] SwaDM: She gives out a shrug. "As it is impossible to know how, or why. It might not even be us. It could be a third party."
  223. [6:17 PM] SwaDM: "My suggestion would be thus : Do not concern yourself with the future until it actually comes."
  224. [6:17 PM] SwaDM: "If you don't, you'll be driven mad before long."
  225. [6:18 PM] Kiran: "For someone who likes to be prepared, that's worrying. But I accept that there's only so much we can be prepared for anything."
  226. [6:19 PM] SwaDM: "I mean, I'm certain you were not prepared to get a girlfriend either, but you seem to be handling that fine, so..."
  227. [6:19 PM] SwaDM: "...damnation, Leon is rubbing off on me too much."
  228. [6:20 PM] Kiran: laughs.
  229. [6:20 PM] Kiran: "That took me by surprise as much as just about anything has so far in all this."
  230. [6:20 PM] SwaDM: "That's saying something."
  231. [6:20 PM] Kiran: "I'm imagining what introducing her to my family would've been like."
  232. [6:20 PM] Kiran: "'How did you two meet, Kiran?', my dad would ask."
  233. [6:21 PM] Kiran: "Why dad, I found her locked in an ancient vault by a possessed construct, all the while being transformed into the new body of an ancient goddess."
  234. [6:21 PM] SwaDM: "Wait, what"
  235. [6:21 PM] Kiran: "Oh. You didn't know?"
  236. [6:22 PM] SwaDM: "No, I didn't bloody know - ancient goddess-"
  237. 6:22 PM] Kiran: "Yes. I am technically dating Tara."
  238. [6:23 PM] SwaDM: "...Is Leon eyeing her up? Do not tell me that Leon is looking at her, or else I will strangle the man. I had thought those congratulations were merely courtesy."
  239. [6:23 PM] Kiran: "Well, she's been working on her shapeshifting, and she now looks like she did when she was a Kriendyh."
  240. [6:23 PM] SwaDM: "Oh."
  241. [6:23 PM] SwaDM: "Good."
  242. [6:23 PM] SwaDM: "Wait i just have more questions now"
  243. [6:24 PM] Kiran: "The virus that the Tarans released onto the world occurred when Tara fell, and it was trying to find a suitable being to transform into her new vessel."
  244. [6:24 PM] SwaDM: "Okay - that explains it."
  245. [6:24 PM] SwaDM: "Partially, anyway."
  246. [6:24 PM] Kiran: "Right? Totally beats the railgun story."
  247. [6:24 PM] SwaDM: "I would daresay it does due to the sheer absurdity and coincidence."
  248. [6:25 PM] SwaDM: "Likely worth a book."
  249. [6:25 PM] SwaDM: "...I have finished reading mine, by the way."
  250. [6:25 PM] Kiran: "Oh! How was it?"
  251. [6:26 PM] SwaDM: "Rather nice, with a pleasant ending, to boot. I enjoyed it."
  252. [6:27 PM] Kiran: "I'm glad to hear it. I still would've liked to hear some of it, but... would've felt guilty if I'd let you read it when I could've told you about Leon."
  253. [6:27 PM] SwaDM: "No, I understand."
  254. [6:27 PM] SwaDM: "You...did get into a subject you had no business getting into, mind you, but it's fine. I talked with him about it."
  255. [6:28 PM] SwaDM: "Things have been...cleared up, so to speak."
  256. [6:29 PM] Kiran: "It wasn't my business, no. But it was yours, and thought it'd be right for you to know."
  257. [6:30 PM] SwaDM: She inclines her head once, nodding.
  258. [6:31 PM] Kiran: "And I'm glad. The two of you seem like... friends? I feel weirdly comforted knowing you're happy."
  259. [6:31 PM] SwaDM: She opens her mouth - afore closing it.
  260. [6:31 PM] SwaDM: "I...hnm."
  261. [6:32 PM] SwaDM: "Not...friends, but..."
  262. [6:33 PM] Kiran: looks at her expectantly. Which she cannot see. But he waits nonetheless.
  263. [6:33 PM] SwaDM: "...closer then that, I suppose."
  264. [6:33 PM] SwaDM: "He told me that I remind him of his sister."
  265. [6:33 PM] Kiran: quietly has his ship hit a rock.
  266. [6:34 PM] Kiran: "That's... nice?"
  267. [6:34 PM] SwaDM: "I'd imagine it means...plenty, yes."
  268. [6:34 PM] SwaDM: Kiran can hear the shipwreck washing ashore.
  269. [6:35 PM] Kiran: ... oh my god, did Leon friend zone Libra?
  270. [6:35 PM] Kiran: I am filled with sadness for her.
  271. [6:35 PM] SwaDM: "I suppose it explains the protectiveness he's always had over me."
  272. [6:35 PM] SwaDM: She shakes her head. "Another thing I failed to read, I suppose."
  273. [6:36 PM] Kiran: "I suppose when he didn't have his memories in tact, it'd be even harder to read him."
  274. [6:37 PM] SwaDM: "It would be...instinctual, yes."
  275. [6:37 PM] SwaDM: "As you know, we do not have our memories, but we sometimes can have reactions to things that are based on them."
  276. [6:37 PM] SwaDM: "Even if we do not realize it."
  277. [6:37 PM] SwaDM: "Like enjoying a particular kind of food, or color."
  278. [6:38 PM] SwaDM: "...So, you would probably enjoy curry aplenty still, even if you were a faceless."
  279. [6:38 PM] Kiran: "Funny. And making things."
  280. [6:38 PM] SwaDM: "Oh - without a doubt, that too."
  281. [6:40 PM] Kiran: "Have you found anything you like or dislike that you don't really understand why?"
  282. [6:40 PM] SwaDM: "Hm."
  283. [6:40 PM] SwaDM: "Heat, I suppose."
  284. [6:40 PM] SwaDM: "...Also Choronians."
  285. [6:40 PM] SwaDM: "But I have been told nobody likes choronians."
  286. [6:41 PM] Kiran: "I've never met any, so I'll take your word for it."
  287. [6:42 PM] SwaDM: "There was one in your friend's group, afore you joined."
  288. [6:42 PM] Kiran: "There was? Who?"
  289. [6:42 PM] SwaDM: "Able."
  290. [6:43 PM] SwaDM: "She was vaguely unpleasant, I suppose."
  291. [6:43 PM] SwaDM: "Professional, though. I think."
  292. [6:43 PM] SwaDM: "We did not interact much."
  293. [6:43 PM] Kiran: "I believe the literal only thing I have heard about her is the word 'bitch'."
  294. [6:43 PM] SwaDM: "Funny, that's the same word they would previously use for me."
  295. [6:44 PM] Kiran: "I had also heard that. But I think that's mostly because you're more aloof than, say, Adalet or Leon. Then I actually had a conversation with you anyway."
  296. [6:45 PM] SwaDM: "So you did - so you did."
  297. [6:45 PM] SwaDM: "...I would recommend the book, by the way."
  298. [6:45 PM] Kiran: "Despite my reputation for being a... horror story. You spoke with me anyway."
  299. [6:46 PM] SwaDM: "Reputation or not, I prefer to analyze things myself, rather then relying on hearsay."
  300. [6:46 PM] Kiran: "Agreed."
  301. [6:46 PM] Kiran: "And so noted. I'll need to get a copy of it somewhere. Can you remind me of the title again - Sealers of Azorak?"
  302. [6:47 PM] SwaDM: "The Book of the Sealers" ,or just "The Sealers" in some editions."
  303. [6:48 PM] SwaDM: "Odd pace at the start, but rather vivid descriptions."
  304. [6:48 PM] SwaDM: "One of the best romance subplots I've read, too."
  305. [6:49 PM] Kiran: "I have never really paid attention to that before. But... I suppose I really better start studying up."
  306. [6:49 PM] SwaDM: "...Consider it homework, then."
