In order to successfully integrate children into the Canadian society, and more specifically Calgary, they need to embrace all the different cultures within. And in order to do that, the children needs to realize that all cultures are unique, they need to respect those cultures, and have empathy for those who are different from them.
First, every culture is different, Priya have covered that in her part, in addition to that, children needs to learn about the differences between one culture and the next, such as lifestyle, religion, and philosophy differences, this will help them make new friends and build connections which is crucial for their future success.
Next, we need to teach children that no culture is better than another and they need to respect other cultures just like their own. This means they need to avoid comparison between cultures, and if they meet a new culture, they should not have any preconceptions.
Lastly, children need to learn to have empathy for other people. This means to accept people as they are, which helps to avoid dangerous stereotypes in people and help them to make better decisions. The children will also need to learn to stand up to discrimination
All these steps will make integration a lot more successful
