  1. [20:53] Dantalion says, "You."
  2. [20:53] Tingfeng Wang asks, "Hi?"
  3. [20:54] Dantalion says, "Bow to me."
  4. [20:54] Dantalion says, "This is my cave."
  5. [20:54] Tingfeng Wang asks, "Since when?"
  6. [20:55] "A long time before you were even born, human," Dantalion spoke telepathically, invading the young teen's mind.
  7.
  8. "And those who do not heed my command earns the fury of my flames. Now... kneel."
  9.
  10. The demon demanded.
  11. (Dantalion)
  12. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  13.
  14. [21:05] He narrows his eyes, the flame of his torch as well as the flames being produced by the Kaor lighting the area around them. With the demon's words, the teenager could only shake his head. "You're a coward," he spoke, placing both of his hands in his pockets.
  15.
  16. "Beat me? Sure. You can do that. Kill me? That can happen too. But making me kneel out of my own volition? Who the hell do you think you are? You're nobody. Right now, -I'm- nobody. I already know my place. That doesn't mean I can't rise in the future. You? You're a demon that doesn't have the balls to attack someone who looks like they can fight back."
  17.
  18. A scowl forms on the teenager's face; it's clear that Tingfeng is displeased. One might even presume he's infuriated. "If you really want to get your name out there, go after someone who's worth a damn. Not some small time teenager who can't even afford a weapon or better clothes."
  19.
  20. He stands there and waits for the demon to act, but from what it looks like? He's not afraid. Pissed, that someone was trying to get HIM to kneel, but afraid? No.
  21. (Tingfeng Wang)
  22. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  23.
  24. [21:15] "Another human who feels entitled with life. No, you're wrong, little one. You are not entitled to life. Life is not a gift, it is a reward and something that one must earn. One must prove that they have the right to life," stated the demon, not one bit provoked or angered by the teen's words. Why should he try to prove himself to nobody? Him, who has fought and hunted beings far stronger than him? Him, who claimed the caves to hunt down the kitsune who previously bested him. Akio and Ikkaku, he has fought them previously, and indeed he was defeated.
  25.
  26. The Wang's words even reminded him when he and his kin fought against powerful magis of Tongyishan. Two of them against four, that including the previous commander of the Fourfold himself. As a result, he felt unprovoked due to the fact that Wang's words were foolish and false - not to mention naΓ―ve.
  27.
  28. "You claim that you can rise to the top in the future, human? Do you know that I have the grounds to burn you where you stand, by threatening and provoking me? You claim that you do know your place, but you do not. Do you know that when I was hunting previously, your kin attempted to kill me and my kin? We're at war, and it doesn't matter who you are, or if you feel you'd survive simply because you're no one. I do not care about your identity, or how much entitled do you feel. I will do as I please, and will kill you if I want. Now, human. Never provoke me or my kin again. It is best that you simply listen lest you want to die." said the demon.
  29.
  30. "Moving on. Tell me, little one. Choose your words carefully because it will mean choosing your destiny. Your choice, your words, your destiny. And I, Lord Dantalion will decide your fate. I command you to answer me. What gives you the right to live?"
  31. (Dantalion)
  32. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  33.
  34. [21:34] The teenager rolls his eyes. His gaze shifts from Dantalion, to the environment surrounding them. Once the creature's words progressed, though, his eyes slowly widen with astonishment. His hands lift out of his pockets slowly. "You...you're not an idiot, are you?" he comments, taken aback by the demon. He presumed that until a demon reached the 'Archon' level, that they weren't very intelligent. That they only progressed from the mental capacity of a child to that of a teenager, but here he was, being proven wrong.
  35.
  36. It shows how little he knew about the demon race as a whole.
  37.
  38. "Claim? No, I know," he responds, narrowing his eyes at the demon. "But I also know that there were geniuses, prodigies even who had their journey cut short for one reason or another. Life isn't a right. It never has been. Yeah, I already know that you have the grounds to do whatever, but does it matter? I'd rather die with my pride in tact than cowering like some sniveling wimp who needs to be changed because they pissed their pants. That's a pathetic life to live. You want me to bow? Forget it. I'll die where I'll stand."
  39.
  40. Both of his arms come out, his entire frame at this point taking the shape of a T. His gaze never leaves the Kaor. "My right to live is tied to how strong I am. Right now, the only 'right' I have is determined by those who are above me in strength. In the future, if I live long enough, that will change. Count on it."
  41. (Tingfeng Wang)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [21:38] * You have been awarded 2 Roleplay Points! *
  45. [21:46] "And thus, as someone who is above you, in strength alone, will decide your fate," the demon's voice penetrated the minds of the people around. It was clear - rippling.
  46.
  47. "You've chosen to die with your pride rather than kneeling to me. Rather than groveling before me. You've chosen to die with your stupid pride, and refuse to bend and cower before me. You've chosen death, rather than swallowing your pride and taking vengeance upon me on the future, for the shame I've bestowed upon you. You've chosen death." added the demon as he scanned the gathered, eyeing them as he allowed Wang to absorb his words.
  48.
  49. "As I have promised. I, Lord Dantalion will decide your fate. My decision is death.
  50.
  51. You will kill yourself in exchange for keeping your pride." finally said the demon as his eyes fell upon the human once more.
  52.
  53. "Does anybody here have a dagger our Jianghese friend can borrow?" the demon asked, glancing to Don, Cray and Joanne.
  54.
  55. "And you have the chance to change your mind." said Dantalion again, side glancing to the Wang.
  56. (Dantalion)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [21:54] This was boring so far. She was so hopeful that the Shengese would run into her here in the darkness, where she was blind but so were they until they got too close.
  60.
  61. A green line could be seen in the darkness along with what would appear to be some kind of glowing eye as rieka flared, pulsing along a feminine face that became barely visible with her lightly clanking footsteps.
  62.
  63. She appeared unimpressed, at least from what one could make out of her as she remained nearly cloaked in darkness at the edge of the light.
  64.
  65. "Is that it?"
  66.
  67. Anne glanced towards the singular Jianghese individual nearby, the green glow obscuring her left eye, the right hidden by her bangs.
  68.
  69. "Just one and he won't even fight for his life?"
  70.
  71. That was boring. Maybe she should make things more interesting, maybe not. It was dependent on the next few actions of the apparent Sheng-allied individual.
  72. (Joanne Xizoh)
  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [21:56] Don Just a weak bystander amongst the masses
  76. (Don)
  77. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  78.
  79. [21:59] "Nevermind. You are stupid."
  80.
  81. Tingfeng's words are taken back just like that. He shook his head slowly, disappointment being shown clear in his expression. "You want me to kill myself? Forget it. I won't bow, but I'm also not mentally ill enough to go 'hey, I'll definitely kill myself because he said so!'" A scoff comes from the young teenager's lips. His arms cross over one another, right over his torso. Since the beginning his eyes have never left the demon's.
  82.
  83. "I'm not 'Jianghese'. Anyway. Everyone has their bottom line. Would you bow to every thing, man, or woman that was stronger than you? That bested you in combat? If the answer is yes, then you're more pathetic than I thought. Either you do the job yourself, or leave me alone so I can get through this cave." Just as he turns around, he spots another individual. A woman?
  84.
  85. Oh. This was the woman that was trying to chase him down earlier in the caves. Great. "You can fight him if you want to puff your chest. If not, leave me alone." He slowly starts heading off to the south. He was not in a full blown sprint, no. He's walking, but it's definitely slow enough for him to be stopped or attacked should someone choose to do so. Tingfeng, once he reaches the woman's side, gives her a passing glance.
  86.
  87. Her race is clearly not human. Or perhaps she was just a powerful one. He's not sure. Regardless, he seemed to have enough of this place and the caverns themselves.
  88. (Tingfeng Wang)
  89. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  90.
  91. [21:59] Standing at the sidelines for quite sometime, to watch a member of jianghu being subject to such treatment. It pained him to see the sight, but the wolf could ensure such emotions were not exposed.
  92.
  93. Rather neutral in his stance, after all. Wandering was very dangerous and. . . What could he do?
  94.
  95. But through his doubt, "Hrm. . ." Pushing himself off the wall, he glanced towards the demon who issued the order of death. Of course he had a dagger, one meant for situation like this. But to use on this individual? He couldn't.
  96.
  97. "This ain't no execution, demon. Why aim to deliver a swift kill?" Looking over at the alchemist of Crafthold. "And I doubt the kid can fight against you." His voice carrying on its own. Even the way he carried himself, trudging forward; begrudgingly.
  98.
  99. "Better off going against me. Not like the kid can run away anyway."
  100. (Cray)
  101. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  102.
  103. [22:13] "And witness as the proud hero turned against his own words - his talk of pride and resoluteness, of honor. This is the embodiment of those whom has driven your kind away," said Dantalion and glanced to the Ookami.
  104.
  105. "Witness the cowardice and arrogance of those whom razed your home," he said and then looked at Joanne, assuming her to be a Valmasian due to her traits.
  106.
  107. "Just like the entirety of Jianghu, he walks with unbearable pride, yelling order and yelling genocide to those against them. Just like all of Jianghu, he insult and mocks others, assuming he'd get out of it alive," declared Dantalion.
  108.
  109. He then looked back at Cray, nodding his head in affirmation before looking back at the Wang.
  110.
  111. "He's right by saying that you don't stand a chance against me. That you are but a dirt against me. However, what are you against someone your age, Jianghese? Will you insult his challenge with mocking words and just walk away? Let this be my final warning, that you will burn to ashes not unless you stay. Those who cannot keep their words, their pride and their honor do not deserve to live. They deserve one thing, as clichΓ© as it may sound - to die."
  112. (Dantalion)
  113. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  114.
  115. [22:19] Don Still tryin to stay to his own and hold his dagger to himself as he'd observe with a fight or flight in mind
  116. (Don)
  117. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  118.
  119. [22:23] "Yes. Talk of pride. Did I bow? No." he pauses in his steps. "Did I go against my words? No. -You- are the one that thinks I'm stupid enough to kill myself. My fate lies in your hands, yes, but not to the extent that you think about. Can you kill me? Sure. Will I kill myself? No."
  120.
  121. He tilts his head to the side, glancing behind him at the demon. "I don't know why you're comparing me with the people of Jianghu. Or talking about genocide and order. You're getting off track," he comments. "But that's your choice."
  122.
  123. A sigh comes from the teenager's lips.
  124.
  125. "At least you proved my point. I've talked way too much." After he's said what he wished to say, he continued walking down south. His back is straight, and his head is held high. Should he still be attacked, it wouldn't be 'unsuspecting' but that he literally turned his back towards the enemy.
  126.
  127. Was he confident that he'd be able to get out of this scott-free? No. Not at all. But getting him to bow down was out of the question. And it seemed as if the two were going back and forth about this, that, and the third, so it was either the demon would act against him, those around him would act against him, or he would be able to leave.
  128. (Tingfeng Wang)
  129. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  130.
  131. [22:32] A shake of the Oscuri's head was made as Tingfeng aimed to pass her, her eyes closing as she exhaled in a loud sigh. They were desperate for action, obviously, but they weren't getting it. Much like her, because she wanted to fight anyone and anything to amuse herself and practice.
  132.
  133. After all, that was why she left a will somewhere safe for Eiphraem to find. It was why she wanted to carry no materials with her, instead only carrying medicine for her shoulder and the bare necessities of travel. It was war which she needed to learn, to fully experience.
  134.
  135. Her eyes opened as she looked towards the Shengese-looking human. The glow died down so the red hue could be seen. He wouldn't be fun to fight at all, and it gave her an opportunity to potentially fight a Demon.
  136.
  137. "Leave. No one will stop you."
  138.
  139. Steps were taken forward so she could effectively interpose herself between the Kaor Demon and the Okami. It was no act of kindness, it was an act of absolute selfish desire to have more people to battle.
  140. (Joanne Xizoh)
  141. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  142.
  143. [22:33] Tingfeng Is blocked by something invisible. Woah.
  144. (Tingfeng Wang)
  145. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  146.
  147. [22:36] The child and his bravado was certainly something the wolf could commend. Though, there was a fine line that he treaded. And with the wolfs current predicament. He could only wonder if he could wiggle his way out of the fight.
  148.
  149. But would he?
  150.
  151. He'd stand to fight for the boy, already putting himself in place for such.
  152. (Cray)
  153. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  154.
  155. [22:43] The Kaor seemed to lost all interest to the male, casting his gaze upon the Oscuri. How interesting. So interesting that she managed to put a smile on Dantalion's face.
  156.
  157. "I will not ask why you're letting him go. Perhaps because he's weak and not worth a dime. But, I will ask what made you choose to go against a demon instead. I'm sure you're aware of the consequences, Oscuri?" he asked.
  158. (Dantalion)
  159. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  160.
  161. [22:51] The Oscuri took a transparent flask from her belt and shook it, causing it to begin shining brightly as she hooked it back in. Her right hand gripped the strange, blunted sword's hilt and she drew it with a swift motion.
  162.
  163. "If we kill all of the weaklings, there will be nobody left to be strong."
  164.
  165. A grin was given in return as bloodlust shone within her visible eye.
  166.
  167. "And then I would be awfully bored."
  168. (Joanne Xizoh)
  169. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  170.
  171. [22:53] "A logic I admittedly do admire. Tell me your name, woman. You interest me," retorted Dantalion as his eyes seemed to flutter with flames.
  172. (Dantalion)
  173. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  174.
  175. [22:57] "Joanne. The Sirenians call me 'Anne'." A glance was given towards her own weapon as she left out the name that she took from her deceased husband, as well as the name that was her father's lineage.
  176. (Joanne Xizoh)
  177. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  178.
  179. [23:01] "Joanne," she heard the demon repeat her name, his voice resonating in her mind, yet not in an invading manner. It was a voice so calm, as if a peaceful wind that only aimed to pass by.
  180.
  181. "You're a Valmasian, no? I have no intention of killing or maiming you. Tongyishan awaits. Gaiar Aetherius and their allies soon will march. And if you're someone who will fight on our side, then I have no reason to deal with you. Not unless you wish to attack me," he added with a pause.
  182.
  183. "Then I will give you what you are due, for daring to assault a noble of Gaiar."
  184. (Dantalion)
  185. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  186.
  187. [23:09] "I am Valmasian, but you're right. I shouldn't strike down my own allies in the war." The sword was subsequently sheathed into its scabbard and she stepped forward, aiming to simply walk past the Kaor Demon.
  188.
  189. "Don't get me wrong. If you get in my way, I'll show you exactly why you shouldn't." Anne stated as she continued along, aiming to simply walk away further into the caves.
  190. (Joanne Xizoh)
  191. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  192.
  193. [23:10] "And it is best that you do not. Among those who were unable to best me. Few managed to get out of it alive," he said.
  194. (Dantalion)
  195. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  196.
  197. [23:10] Dantalion says, "And I can show you exactly why if we are to spar."
  198. [23:11] Joanne Xizoh asks, "Why do you think I'm here, in these caves?"
  199. [23:11] Joanne Xizoh says, "I'm looking for the Sheng to fight against."
  200. [23:11] Dantalion says, "You're out of luck."
  201. [23:11] Dantalion says, "They cower behind their walls."
  202. [23:12] Joanne Xizoh says, "I noticed, so I'm giving them reason not to."
  203. [23:12] Dantalion says, "And the reason you were supposed to give was prevented by you, yourself."
  204. [23:13] Joanne Xizoh says, "Not necessarily."
  205. [23:14] Joanne Xizoh says, "If he speaks of Oscuri and Demons in the caves, that may prompt a patrol."
  206. [23:14] Joanne Xizoh says, "I just heard footsteps."
  207. [23:14] Dantalion says, "Perhaps, or perhaps not. But it is a weak messa-"
  208. [23:14] Dantalion flashed pass by the Oscuri, as if disappearing on sight, leaving for the north.
  209. (Dantalion)
  210. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  211.
  212. [23:14] Anne smiled as she moved along, her hand on the hilt of her sword.
  213. (Joanne Xizoh)
