  1. >thats cool, i hadn't thought about FMA for this.
  2. one of the things that brought FMA to mind is how the main form of "magic" in the setting, Demon Summoning & Manipulation seems to be something almost anyone can potentially do, much like Alchemy in FMA, also it being a fantasy setting that's recognizably modern in parts

  4. >microlite? I've never even heard of that in passing
  5. Microlite20, the original version is a super slimmed down version of the D20 system, Microlite74 is a variation that emulates the earliest versions of D&D, and has several versions available that increase the options and complexity to varying degrees, as well as several supplements that add more content, also almost everything for Microlite74(and it's siblings 75, 78, & 81) is available for free both on the author's site, and on DriveThruRPG;

  12. as for the mix of rules, I'll need to do a double check to be sure but off the top of my head it's Microlite74 Extended, plus much of the content included in Companions 1-5(the recently released Microlite74 Ultimate Edition covers much of the same territory, but it doesn't have a free version at the moment), plus some rules taken from several games in the OSR movement;
  13.
  14. Fantastic Heroes & Witchery(primarily the guns & sci-fi weapons & rules it has, but there's lots of other bits and piece that could be useful, included at least some of the 666 spells it includes)
  15.
  16. Colonial Troopers(various tech related rules & equipment, including rules for Power Armor if you wanted to include that sort of thing)
  17.
  18. Adventurer Conqueror King System(primarily it's variation on the Cleave concept, although I'm sure there's other things one could pilfer)
  19.
  20. Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG(Mighty Deeds of Arms system, not completely necessary, but might be handy to borrow if you feel non-magical combatants could use a boost)
