- Girl Sets Up Lemonade Stand To Save For A Tablet And This Cop Decided To Pay It Forward
- Gabriella Garcar, a fourth-grader set up a lemonade stand to try and save enough money for an iPad. She sells 50 cents a cup. Officer Zak Ropos from Lake County, Ohio stopped to buy a cup of lemonade from a neighborhood kid and found out in their conversation that she was collecting coins for a tablet.
- The cop realized that it would be difficult for the girl to save much for an iPad by just selling lemonade juice. So he talked with her mother and offered to bring his old iPad, but it turned out it was broken.
- So, Officer Ropos decided to give a big smile to the girl. He bought Gabriella a brand new tablet! When asked what prompted the generous gesture, he said "I knew her lemonade stand wasn't probably going to bring in enough money for a tablet, but seeing that she was willing to work for what she wanted, I was willing to help her. People have helped me out in my life, so it was kind of like a pay-it-forward type thing."
- "That's how it is at Lake County. Everyone is caring here. We all give our shirt off our back for people." Gabrielle's got the giving bug too. She handed all of the dough she saved selling lemonade to her mother for gas money.
