  1. Name: "The Doll Collector"
  2. (true name cannot be pronounced by physical beings. Other titles given on different worlds are often just as archetypal and cliche depending on role, Dark Lady, Lady of the Moonlight, Queen of the Darkside, ect...)
  3.
  4. Gender: Female
  5.
  6. Type: Inter-dimensional entity (Eldritch Specter)
  7.
  8. Estimated Power Class: S
  9.
  10. Height: 6-12 feet (average heights, shapeshifter)
  11.
  12. Description:
  13.
  14. While minor details may vary her overall apperance is mostly consistent.
  15.
  16. (Body/Dress)
  17.
  18. Generally taller than the observer, with this height ranging from 6 to 12 feet on average; she observes her target from the shadows and makes a point to appear in a form taller than them. The entity is wearing a white dress; the exact style may vary from something resembling a wedding dress, a ball gown, or ethereal curtain bellowing from off her hips obscuring her legs and vanishing into trails of mist. Her waist is generally thin although her soft cloth like body can also stretch so this can be very short or extend so far she may as well walk on all fours; there is a structure resembling a white corset laced around her waist as well. Her breasts are large for her frame. Some of her dress designs have a lace pattern giving the impression of a corset or bra; however her breasts, neckline, shoulders, and arms, are all as white as her gown and in truth one solid cloth like body. Some of her dress designs likewise have no patterns that differentiate flesh from cloth at all making her even more so resemble a giant doll herself.
  19.
  20. Much like her torso her arms also appear to be made of cloth; due to her shapeshifting ability however her arms may appear to be normal human arms in proportion to her body or else stretch out long and slender. The fingers of the hands are always long, with long fingernails, usually white fingernails, although some accounts describe them as painted black. In some cases the hands are shapeshifted so the fingers are impossibly long and come to sharp points; this has been described in both a shorter claw like and longer thin needle like; again shapeshifter.
  21.
  22. (Head)
  23. Just above the neckline billowing darkness begins; in the shadows there is some indication by the way the darkness undulates and flows that there is a neck and head underneath, much in the same way waves mover around tree trunks and rocks the darkness seems to imply something there. Although the neck appears to be unusually long, almost birdlike, something that stands out as this entity wears a white mask. The style of mask is best compared to a Venetian Masquerade mask, a full white female face with slightly slanted oval eyeholes sharply pointed at the outer points; a small nose, and full lips. She appears to have multiple masks she switches between as some have different styles of noses *including just a ridge or no nose*, having a nose is far more common however; as well as different styles of paint around the eyes holes ranging from accenting black lines to swirls and spirals. Her lips are usually painted red, although black is not uncommon, and blue lips are sometimes seen. Unlike typical Venetian fashion however the lips are fully painted like regular lips would be wearing lipstick
  24.
  25. The mask is usually stiff as a mask normally is. However the material is like her body made of a supernatural maleable substance. The mouth can open, sometimes bending like a regular mouth, sometimes like a marionettes mouth *very rare*, or else the crease of the mouth splitting the mask along the cheeks like a hideous demonic grin. The only indication of a face under the mask are two blue lights in the eye holes. These can be small like distant stars, large discs, spheres, or look like human irises glowing blue. There usually is no pupil, although blue rings aroud a pupil like point is sighted on occassion. A simular blue light has been emmitted from the mouth as well, along with ethereal black tendrils (sometimes with blue lights in them resembling stripes); this is extremly rare though as she tends to keep a more elequent composure.
  26.
  27. Billowing from from behind, below, and above the mask is a massive curtain of undulating darkness, shades of shadows flowing into one another. Along the edges and bottom of this plume the darkness does begin to more resemble hair, soft and cloud like, feathery, or strands of sharp black tendrils at the tips. The exact definition can change as this "hair" has a reality bending quality to it that may lead one to speculate the darkness is the actual entity and it is only wearing a mask and doll body for aesthetics.
  28.
  29. .
  30.
  31. (Legs)
  32.
  33.
  34. The legs are pretty much never seen, except by those who claim to know the entity personally, and described human legs wearing heeled boots. The movement of the dress and sounds on streets would imply human legs and boots. Although on a few occassions the entity has fanned the dress out larger and manifested large black spider/crab like legs. However such instances were in an act of defense and displayed while fighting another demon or a task force over its targeted victim(s). In these same cases it did manifest large demon like wings; however this seemed to only serve the purpose of a threat display and has never been seen having wings under normal circumstances. Also of note same combat scenarios it also was manifesting combat hair tendrils and mysterious black razor wire and needles with threads coming out of the shadows. The entity has also on many occassions simply floated like a ghost with no indication of legs under the dress, as well as extending its shadowy tendrils not just from its "hair" or surrounding darkness but also from beneath the dress; these specific tendrils though are usually more black briar like than those from the "hair" or surrounding shadows.
  35.
  36.
  37.
  38. Behavior:
  39. This entity known as the Doll Collector has been recorded by numerous agencies across the multi-verse; normally though only by this or that Earth's Paranormal Control Agency, Supernatural Defense Force, Departement for Defense against the Darkness, and other such groups; usually documented poorly. This entity is rarely found except through second hand accounts by those who escaped its clutches. The Doll Collector is regarded by most such agencies as an Ant-Lion/Code Wonderland type, while the exact definition may vary by agency; in general she is grouped in with those beings that "hunt" from another dimensional layor and lay a trap for people to walk through such as a fairy door. In this case it tends to be an old shack opening up to a lavish mansion, basement door leading to strange tunnels and another world, even old bunkers and catacomb like tunnels. She inhabits a "Back Rooms" like expansive dimensional space with seems to have an above ground area with walled in gardens around specific entry ways, forests, even beaches, and small islands; which she overlays into the real world like a camoflaged net and snags up her victims this way as they wander deeper into her world. These catacombs and hallways have rooms in them made up like doll house replicas of the real world, plastic food, overly decorated, a surreal combination of being regular sized furniture but coming across like its all in a doll house; including just oddly placed scene rooms off to the sides of tunnels like window displays in a furniture store. This dimension is very expansive and believed to be interconnected between areas resembling concrete bunkers to areas resembling wood and brick old world houses, to even office building like areas. This space is filled with her collections, not just dolls, the dolls however may be thought of more as inhabitants and be threats to some people wandering into this world unexpectedly.
  40.
  41. The entity has on occassion exited this space to collect her victim and take them into her space, or walked through another distortion zone being caused by other supernatural beings; in such cases disrupting their attempts at predation or trickery. While little is known about this entity's background, she seems feared among most other paranormal beings; who will usually flee, sensing a greater danger from her. In truth the how and why she can appear seems based entirely on a game she is playing that she made the rules for.
  42.
  43. The name "Doll Collector" is one generally given to this entity due to its behavior. Often times a first sign one is entering its trap is the presence of strange creepy dolls just lying around, more often than not moving dolls that vanish behind trees or scurrying out of sight inside an old house at night. They act as the eyes and ears of the entity to spy on potential victims. It more often than not seems to just release potential victims, who will only have a (we were scared by creepy moving dolls or small ghosts messed with our ghost hunting equipment) stories to tell; as it is very selective. Deeper in its territory and down into the catacombs, mansion hallways, and whatnot, one will find alot more dolls of all sorts, plastic, china, porceline, bisque, composit, wooden dolls, straw dolls, even androids, robots, and scarecrows. The majority are female, with some androgenous, and the few distinctly male tend to be characters from works of fiction like those from cartoons or video games. These dolls that were originally inanimate always become possessed by anima spirits and can move around as she brings any dolls she likes to life. However as implied with androids, and robots, it also collects human sized "dolls", some plastic or metal resembling mannequins but built with doll articulations. In these cases if they were androids or robots taken from an Earth with such on them, than these were her victims. The true predation aspect that makes this entity a threat to human life; if it decides it likes a potential victim it takes them back, dresses them up like a doll, and lets them wander around; but it treats them like dolls, holding them, hugging them, brushing their hair, and saying that person's language's word for "doll" or usually the cuter equivalent for "dolly", her magic eventually turning them into dolls.
  44.
  45. It doesn't speak much, seemingly careful of its words, and tends to move about slowly and elequently, yet also impossibly fast while doing so. Its victims will very quickly develop a sort of emotional imprint on the Doll Collector, regarding it as a motherly, protective, sometimes lover, like emotional attatchment and want to return to her and her collection if taken away. If they have been fully transformed into "dolls" then this is increased a hundred fold and they may even "shut down" during interrogations making the interrogator look crazy for yelling at a doll, only moving when threatened with violence; however the victims are rarely found like this outside of the Doll Collector's doll house like catacombs unless they have entered a third state, from dressed up and imprinted, to doll body, to the third and final supernatural doll like entity. They may become an anima spirit that can jump bodies, or a magically powered living demonic scarecrow, mannequin that can assume a human form and flexibility but still have a plastic like anatomy, and various others. Some organizations even speculate the Doll Collector could be the source of whole strains of living doll beings as some victims develop a vampire/werebeast like quality to infect others creating their own minions and harems and such in the process. The Doll Collector's collection is thus unknownly extensive as its domain stretches across various versions of Earth and even some alien worlds where it is even regarded as "the devil", collecting inanimate dolls and bringing them to life, collecting already haunted dolls and enhancing them, collecting intentionally designed A.I. and upgrading them, and capturing living people and transforming them into supernatural doll/mannequin/scarecrow/ and such entities themselves.
  46.
  47. It is important to note human sized male dolls arn't so rare in some areas of this domain; however these are the result of the above infectious nature of some of the dolls. In particular some of the Doll Collector's dolls have a bad habit of abducting and transforming other people, including men. There are entire horror stories and encounters centered around one or more of these minions alone. The Doll Collector herself rarely shows any affection towards the victims of her victims; although has at times shown annoyance for drawing attention to a hunting ground; unlike some of its monstrous minions; The Doll Collector its self never seems to go after children, it doesn't have any child like (excusing cartoon design) kid dolls in its own collection; the few cases of children involved with the Doll Collector seem to be because the mother was a previous abductee and the Doll Collector considers them an extension being raised to be another doll, explained right below.
  48.
  49. The Doll Collector has been known to pursue people who get away, but unlike its first abduction, subsequent abductions seem to require the consent of the victim to return to it. Something very few manage to do. Oddly enough on at least one world a legend was in circulation on how to escape its clutches involving looking away and insisting one can present it with a better doll; but requiring them to actually produce such a doll and keep it with them for when the Doll Collector should return. It is not known how affective this actually is. However the few times it has gone after children, or appeared before them seems related, the mother possibly promising to make a better doll, and the Doll Collector like a fairy getting the idea this applies to the woman's child; which the Doll Collector might even watch over from a distance till it views them as "complete" or in a predatory sense "ripe" enough to be collected. However in either case there is still a chance the Doll Collector will take the victim anyway along with the offered doll.
  50.
  51. On this same note there is supposedly a spell for summoning the Doll Collector, but it usually instead summons one of her C power class and above minions instead; at random or (I was the nearest here and available) sort of deal. As well a few artifacts have been found that connect to it like lures; in a sense prototypes perhaps for its dolls it can see and hear through as these inanimate statues and figurines can both draw its attention and it can act through them. Although as stated above much of this seems to be based on vastly differing rules by world indicating it is simply playing games and obeying the rules of such and may view its "new dolls" as prizes for winning as it shows little regard for life in general as anything other than something to play with as though for some reason it regarded reality the same way people may regard an MMO video game.
  52.
  53. Combat:
  54. Aside from the offering method listed above, there are no known wards that affect the Doll Collector, even mana drain and anti-magic stones don't affect it, it can move through or on solid mass selectivly, no materials seem to have any special interaction with it; even if the same can't be said for its "creations" like the supernaturally powered victims. It is very rare to encounter the Doll Collector its self in combat anyway, which is typical of a trapper entity that is more accustomed to setting a trap, unleashing minions, and using lures t bring in its victims. Usual methods for detering this don't work as it can overlay its own space anywhere that fits the parameters of the space it created, and it can modify them to fit better anyway. It can even just put a door behind a wall where one had never been before; even in a newly built house. Nothing magical or material seems to really affect it. Although it does physically interact with the things around it.
  55.
  56. As seen in description above it has been engaged in combat before. Usually it just brushes off any attacks, frightens away other supernatural beings, or uses shadow extensions in the shapes of razor wire, tendrils, and even thread with sewing needles to attack and entangle. It is by far the most common behavior for at first to use minions, then basic hand swatting or threat displays and some telekinesis to disuade or remove "pests"; only rarely forced to get serious and undergo the combat hair tendrils, demon wings, tentacles, giant spider/crab legs; or tendrils. It physically can crush and peirce any known material and even most magical barriers and forcefields are penetrated like they are just colored lights in the air. It has been seen to spit out a blue sacred fire focused from the mouth, eyes, fingers, or even tendrils. When pressured by higher powered opponents it has displayed weather control, electrokinesis, and opening portals to the Hell of Dark Waters to summon much more terrifying beings than her own minions. It has been found in such battles that attacking from behind is fruitless as both physical and energy attacks into the hair are either absorbed or transported elsewhere; including new portals appearing above, behind, or below its opponent to send the attack back at them. High energy attacks have been determined however capable of damaging the cloth like body; however the material repairs almost instantly, and beneath appears to be the same swirling darkness as the hair. An oddity was found when a powerful energy manipulator unleashed a city destroying level beam at the Doll Collector only for her to let out a disturbingly aroused moan and her mask to actually blush. There is speculation the true nature of the Doll Collector may be a hyper dimensional being for whom exchanges of high level energy is more akin to sexual activity than combat.
  57.
  58. It was pretty much determined after this that anyone dealing with this being was better off intercepting the victims during their stage 1 (abducted and released) and placing them under protection long enough for the affects to ware off or the Doll Collector to lose interest *it seems to act on almost child like whims*. Or to figure out where its common hunting grounds are and as best as they can prevent human traffic in the area; which is a normal tactic when dealing with "Ant-lion" style trappers. There is a theory that given how often this entity just jumps between different Earths and worlds with different rules for things like magic it has built up a tolerance for anything that could be used to ward against it, making it usually listed as a very high level threat; even though it is rarely encountered after the initial encounters to the point some doubt it ever existed, or was something else.
  59.
  60. Origin:
  61.
  62. -not public knowledge-
  63.
  64. The Doll Collector is the offspring of a goddess of chaos and a goddess of death, both actually Amana (hyper dimensional beings), born in the Far Dark outside of universes and grew up in the infinite catacombs between realities, building her own home in the same style and bridging between realities. Due to their hyper dimensional nature her parents were powerful enough to create their own pocket realities, Hells, Heavens, Wild living places, fairy realms, divine pantheon palaces, ect... which may have contributed to her outlook that everything was a toy to be played with; not an unusual outlook for Amana, she just takes it a tad more litteral than most; playing as an eldritch horror being collecting dolls rather than as some diety or demon manipulating worlds.
