Pukin ordered Sonia to chase after it. Sonia began running parallel with the car, from outside, she opened the car door and stretched her hand into the car, and soon, the driver’s head was missing, the car lost control and crashed into a utility pole.

She had crashed the target car, Pukin scolded her. Tears began to flow from Sonia’s eyes, she looked pitiful, so Tot Pop offered her assistance.

Sonia seemed to look at the dead body disappointingly, she stroked every part of the corpse, and the corpse turned into blackened ash. The blackened ash didn’t maintain its shape, and although there was no wind, it collapsed, leaving nothing remaining afterwards.

This was Sonia Bean’s Magical Skill, To disintegrate anything she touches. Any living thing, any inanimate object, no matter what it is, it wouldn’t have any energy to sustain itself. This was the Magical Skill that allowed Pukin to grow, and one of the many reasons why the Land of Magic chose to bring her down.

Whenever Pukin and Sonia were temporarily released from imprisonment, the authorities were always cautious, the two of them were completely controlled, and they had countless countermeasures. In addition to simply monitoring them, they had tripled the number of safety devices. Sonia’s Magical Skill is to “Disintegrate anything she touches” making her an impossible fortress to attack. Pukin’s Magical Skill of “Controlling the minds of anyone she cuts with her Magical Sword” means her sword has a high level of mental manipulation.

Rabbit Ears’ bitter smile turned to a light smile, Captain Grace showed off a huge smile herself.

“Nobody try to help me. I’ll do this clean and quick myself”

The garbage pile across the factory began to tremble. Wedin furrowed her eyebrows. There was a hole at the entrance of the factory, which was completely closed off by nailed boards.

It was an unnatural looking hole. It didn’t seem to have been destroyed by a punch, nor did it seem like it was broken. It didn’t look like it was made by any heavy equipment or chainsaws. The shape of the hole didn’t look like it was cut by any of Grace’s swords. The hole was one size larger than the average human, the edges were dark and peeling off, like it was rotten and rusted.

The other side of the hole was dim. There was something wandering in. Not even the eyes of a Magical Girl could see it. A hand touched the edges of the hole. The dark hole fell down to the ground and disappeared, and the owner of that hand appeared in front of the factory. Wedin stopped furrowing her eyebrows.

It was a female swordsman. She had bizarre clothing and beautiful features, she was none other than a Magical Girl. Wedin had no idea what was happening, she simply stared at her opponent’s face. She looked at the swordsman as she laughed with her beautifully arranged teeth. The swordsman pulled out the rapier on her waist. If a wild beast were to laugh, surely it would sound like this.

This wasn’t a safe distance. She prepared for some degree of damage. In front of Captain Grace’s enemy, and in front of herself, she dropped a pirate ship.

The object that appeared so suddenly, ignoring the law of conservation of mass, crushed the running enemy below it, and blowing away Grace, who was standing closeby, cracking the road.

As Grace was blown away, she shouted happily while she rolled on the ground. Her enemy couldn’t avoid it, that was what she felt.

Funny Trick loosened her legs, and Tepsekemei slowly landed. Their enemy was gone, so there was no need to run away.

“Yeah! Alright, then-”

She was interrupted. A black hazed mass popped out from the tip of her ship.

Her wooden ship was magical. It was able to travel at water at subsonic speeds, its durability transcending physical resistance, whether it was air or water. It wouldn’t be easy to break even if a Magical Girl punched or kicked it.

And on that ship, on Captain Grace’s legendary pirate ship, a miserably large hole had been opened. A swirling stain-like erosion had broken her ship, and her enemy, who hasn’t slown down at all, leapt out of it.

She passed through Tepsekemei, touching her shoulders, and the part where she had touched it disappeared into a black haze. Tepsekemei’s usual faceless expression had broken, she had stared at something unbelievable, gazing at the part of her body that she had lost.

Grace intercepted it with her sword, but without even feeling her sword being touched, it disappeared in a black haze, the Magical Girl continued to stroke Grace’s face, and everything turned black.

She couldn’t see. She had no experience fighting in complete darkness. Not to mention, this enemy is someone who surpassed Rabbit Ears and the black sphere.

Was this an adventure? Captain Grace’s adventure book, it had to have excitement in its pages. She had to give it to her partner, Funny Trick, as a record book for her to see. Saying recordkeeper sounds like a rather boring name for it, but that’s the kind of obligation she had to do.

That’s why Grace had to protect her. As she was imagining a bright future for her, Captain Grace’s consciousness sunk into the abyss.

She was talking about the Magical Girl who had been blinded by Sonia caressing her face, and died miserably.

“That magician over there, hm..”

Pukin sheathed her rapier, careful not to tread on any of the blood on the floor, picking up the dagger that was stabbed to the wall, and also sheathed it.

“When the pirate girl was killed, she simply clung to her corpse as Sonia captured her.”

Sonia looked up, hmhm, she breathed out with pride, then went back to eating.

There was no need for them to confess. They didn’t seem to be lying.

When she tried to rub her fingertips on the traces of the destruction, they started to break apart like dust. This was obviously magical, probably someone with a very strong ability. It might be hard even for someone who was accustomed to fighting, like Hana and Ripple, to fight them.

Sonia threw Hana on the streets, and went towards the remains of the minicar. She placed her hand on the car’s chassis, her black rot corroding it away, and after the smoke cleared, no one was inside.

She couldn’t hold back. Whether she would kill or be killed by the Assassin in this mission, finding an opponent where she couldn’t hold back would be very bad. Yet her head soared with euphoria. It was kill or be killed. That was how powerful her opponent was.

All four of her wings were sent back to the battlefield. She reconfirmed that she wasn’t mistaken. The swordsman and the patchwork girl are powerful enemies. Fighting one-on-one, giving their names, suggesting the one-on-one so that their allies and enemies won’t get mixed together, all of that made Mao Pam excited.

As Sonia Bean ran towards her, Mao Pam muttered.

“Hadraniel”

One piece of her wing wrapped like a wall between herself and her opponent, expanding far from the center. At the same time,

“Longinus”

Two wings became spears and attacked Sonia Bean from left and right.

A large part of what affected battles between Magical Girls was their Affinity. She chose the best way to fight so that her opponent’s affinity couldn’t be used. She read her enemy’s attacks. If she reacted immediately against her enemy’s attack target, then she wouldn’t be unconditionally accepting her enemy’s pre-emptive strike. Sonia was running. She didn’t try to avoid the spears. It wasn’t that she wasn’t avoiding it, it seemed more like she didn’t feel like avoiding it. Mao Pam observed Sonia’s situation, Did she have some kind of defensive magic? She thought. Would she deflect the spears? Would it not matter if she was hit? She had a similar reaction to the Arabian dancer she fought at the sky.

As Sonia didn’t dodge the two Longinus spears, they stabbed Sonia from the right and left side, but their tips vanished as if they were brittly erased. The Hadraniel wall wasn’t an obstacle as well, Sonia merely opened a human shaped hole and it was over. Sonia ran towards Mao Pam whilst being filled with joy.

Sonia was using a Magical Skill that erased anything she touched. Mao Pam was half-right when she predicted that she’d have a defensive-based Magical Skill. The correct answer would be that her powers are both offensive and defensive at the same time. The Longinus spears had a sharpness that would make it easy to pierce thick bedrock, and Hadraniel could resist a nuclear explosion blown at ground zero. The moment Sonia touched them, she ignored any power or endurance they had and simply erased them. Something like ash would be scattered, and it was over.

There was nothing she could use to interrupt the distance between Sonia and Mao Pam. She knew what Sonia was going to do. She wasn’t just running to get closer. She was about to try spear tackling Mao Pam’s body. Pam could see it from her muscle movements.

Could she stop her? But it would be impossible to stop her from above. She couldn’t counter by kneeing her in the face. Mao Pam’s body wouldn’t be an exception to Sonia’s Magical Skill. The moment she’d touch her, she’d disappear into dust.

Her flaming wings started covering Sonia’s entire body, but they disintegrated as soon as their edges were touched. Sonia didn’t have a single burn in her body.

“Logos”

Her flaming wings became a directionally destructive sound wave, hitting Sonia, but it soon disappeared without any effect.

“Lucifer”

Her wings converged into light, emitting a high burning fever, and shot at Sonia. However, the beam faded into black as it touched Sonia, and watching that scene, even Pam, who’s name Mao meant Demon King, felt like she was looking into hell. She didn’t see Sonia’s eyes confused for a bit, she was running happily.

“Minos”

Not even wind was able to blow her away. Sonia held open the palm of her hands against the gust of wind, as the wind passed over Sonia, turning into black ash.

“Echidna”

Poison wouldn’t work either, as she thought, there was no effect.

“Cochytus”

If the act of adding energy is meaningless, she had to think of an act that took away energy. Attempting to freeze her at low temperatures had no effect at all as it scattered with Sonia’s touch.

Because Sonia’s own attacks wouldn’t stop while Mao Pam was trying these kinds of attacks, Mao Pam had no choice but to constantly dodge. Or rather, it would be more closer to say that she had to continue running away. In this game of tag, Sonia was it, and touching her means death.

Slashing with sharp blades, igniting gunpowder and exploding, filling up with earth and sand, crushing with huge press machines, but nothing worked. Sonia chased Mao Pam, her eyes shone brightly, as if she was a kid who had just gotten a new toy.

...Haha, so I’m a toy, huh?

Treating me like a toy, even though I’m a Magical Girl kind of makes my blood boil, thought Mao Pam as she derided herself. She also realized that she was like a kid who had been given a new toy, herself.

As Mao Pam continued to retreat, she also continued to observe Sonia Bean. Everything she touched became scattered into black ashes. Even if you attacked her with normal attacks for a hundred years, you still wouldn’t catch her. She had to change her way of thinking.

Igniting with flames, she burned the entire inside of the hole. This was different from the last Gehenna, she wasn’t trying to burn Sonia directly. Mao Pam paid attention so that Sonia wouldn’t touch the fire, and continued to produce flammable liquid so that it won’t be extinguished. Even if her membranes are disintegrated, she’ll just create new ones, confusing Sonia like a maze.

Sonia’s movement steadily slowed down, and Mao Pam relaxed her movements accordingly. Yet she won’t give up. She always made sure to keep her presence known, always keeping her distance so that she’ll be just out of reach. The flames finally burnt gigantically, and even Sonia, who hasn’t touched any of them, started to notice.

Sonia was wobbling, without realizing it, her feet was likely to collapse now. Yet she was still running towards Mao Pam, who was still just out of reach. Sonia, who had just broken through the membranes, was sticking her tongue out, angered by the pain. Her face was shining red, illuminated by the flames.

...Good.

It’s working.

On the outside, Sonia Bean simultaneously had absolute offensive and defensive powers at the same time. No matter how many times you attack Sonia Bean from the outside, you couldn’t break through her Magical Skill. In that case, thought Mao Pam. What happens if she didn’t take Sonia Bean herself, but her allies?

Without special equipment or magic, Magical Girls need to breathe. No matter how strong a Magical Girl was, they couldn’t act without oxygen. Mao Pam continued burning away the oxygen inside the hole, interfering with Sonia’s breathing. A Magical Girl’s superior endurance doesn’t guarantee infinite actions. Mao Pam also assumed this, and stored oxygen inside her suit.

It was too late for Sonia to realize that she couldn’t breathe. She was overwhelmed by the fight.

Sonia tried to shout something, but nothing came out of her voice.

Using her own Magical Skill, Sonia can dig into the walls and ground, and she could widen the hole. However, Mao Pam would attack her with her flames, chasing her without letting her get away.

Sonia had no other options left. Sonia tried to climb her way out of the hole using protrusions, but Mao Pam would instantly destroy those protrusions. Tentacles from her wings would cause Sonia’s feet to fall, causing her to collapse downwards.

Mao Pam removed her membranes. Sonia looked behind her, glaring at the figure of Mao Pam that she saw. Sonia, who had been fighting enjoyably up until now, has turned to hatred.

She went down on her knees, both of her hands, and raised her waist. She wasn’t trying to fall. When Pam noticed that it was a crouching stance, Sonia had already started to run. Movements and emotions can affect the strength of a Magical Girl, Sonia Bean, who was in a precarious situation, used all her remaining physical strength to dash. The candle that has faded suddenly began to burn vigorously, the cornered Magical Girl showcased her hidden power.

Just beyond the flames, Sonia stretched out and hugged the figure of Mao Pam, and while she didn’t realize that it was just a dummy, fell forward.

Even with a dying opponent in front of her, Mao Pam won’t be discouraged. She used the wings that she used as a membrane to become a figure of Mao Pam, and Sonia took the bait. The oxygen deficient and stunned Sonia caught the figure. She made the figure of Mao Pam disappear, and Sonia fell down unable to move.

Mao Pam moved away from the wall, returning the suit back. She concentrated all the flammable liquid in the hole towards the fallen Sonia, and while ensuring that this would be her final attacks, the arm part of her suit turned into a shield, blocking the torrent of musical notes from the outside of the hole.

What should I do next, she thought. Then, she immediately began to move. The girl in the white school swimsuit dove head-first into the ground and sank into the earth. With her Magic, the girl could swim freely through anything, be it the ground, concrete walls, or even human bodies.

Swim Swim met no resistance as she swam under the ground. Even in this mysterious world, her face remained blank, and she dispassionately took in everything around her as she forged ahead.

She continued swimming, and soon she stopped. The sound of footsteps was approaching her; something was running. The footfalls were forceful, stomping the ground with more power than a human or even a wild beast.

Something was approaching her with the intention of launching an attack.

Swim Swim swam deeper, seeking to avoid being directly hit. While Swim Swim’s Magic meant that she would probably be fine even if she was so struck, there was no particular need to take a hit right now.

Ruler had once said, Magical Girls must never be proud. She probably meant that Magical Girls should not get carried away. If she could avoid it, then she should do her best to avoid it.

Swim Swim poked her head out of the ground from a good distance away to see what the other person looked like. By the time she glimpsed them, the area around them was surrounded by some sort of black, soot-like substance.

The ground looked like someone had gouged a huge scar out of it. The dirt and grass had both been transmuted to black ash, which scattered into the wind from within the hands of their destroyer.

Massive chunks of debris fell all around, destroying everything in Sonia and Swim Swim’s vicinity. However, neither of them ran away. They would not run to safety without seeing either Pukin or Ruler claim victory.

Even when they were hit by debris which was the size of a human body, or a bear, or an elephant, said debris would either disintegrate into a spray of black ash or pass harmlessly through without doing them any harm. After checking each other to make sure they were alright, they resumed cheering.
