Why did viv decide to make hell seem like a better place to live than here?

For the average person Hell just comes across off as 'more of the same'.

Outside of the yearly Exterminations and the pissing contests between sinners/overlords who are bored, it just seems like living in some bad city. Pay the rent, dodge the gang wars and just do whatever it is you enjoy doing.

Of course we've not really seen the full breadth/scope of what living in Hell is really like for the average sinners. We've gotten glimpses of people like Angel Dust and Alastor, but those two characters represent edge case scenarios and are no where near the average lived in experience. One is a psychopathic overlord of questionable humanity and the other is a down and out drug addict for life who has only seemingly recently begun to question his life choices after near 100 years.

Vaggie might be the closest, she at least seems to comprehend the Hell experience, but there is the chance that her relationship with Charlie might shield her from some of the worst excesses of Hell, of course there is the alternative that she's been exposed to Hell properly and this helps her give Charlie a more realistic viewpoint of what Hell is like for the average person.

Katie and Tom seem more concerned about ratings and aside from more phyiscal ab use that is considered normal, they seem to be living fine.

Unless you live in Syria, Libya or Yemen I highly doubt that hell would be a better place to be living in

it depends where you are in hell though I doubt you would get to have a choice to live anywhere outside pride city

yeah, there the imps who are suppose to be bottom of the barrel and work at trash jobs (not counting the I.M.Ps) but it look so far in the show. they are doing fine as well.
