  1. it’s okay to be a lesbian. I know people say it isn’t, but it really really is. Stay calm, understand it’s not a rush and evaluate your situation. Are your parents for gay rights? Do they openly support gay people? Or are they anti-gay rights? That changes everything.
  2. There’s a lot of pressure on us to come out of the closet quickly, but it’s your journey. If you’re concerned for your safety (if there’s a chance you’ll be kicked out or harmed in any way) then Do Not Come Out. It’s not worth it yet. If that isn’t a possibility, well then it’s all up to you. This is your journey. Don’t let anyone choose for you.
