  1. <Inebriati> uses a EPGP loot system. EPGP is based on the concept of Effort Points (EP) and Gear Points (GP). Effort Points quantify the effort each member put towards the (common) guild goals and Gear Points quantify what each member got back in return. Loot priority is computed as the quotient of the two; priority (PR) is equal to EP/GP.
  2.
  3. EPGP is effective because it is fast, transparent and impartial.
  4. EPGP Specifics and Terminology
  5. Effort Points (EP)
  6. Effort points will be rewarded for every hour spent raiding starting at the raid start time. Points will also be rewarded as such: 100 points for every hour spent in MC/ONY. Points are earned on the hour every hour meaning if raid starts at 8 everyone in raid at 8 earns the points for that hour. The points earned are not added to toals epgp totals until the end of raid. If the raid ends early points will still be rewarded for the full duration members were expected to be in the raid. For example if MC only takes 2 hours but the raid was scheduled to go for 4 hours members that were on time and stayed for the whole raid will earn the full 4 hours of points.
  7.
  8. Gear Points (GP)
  9. Gear points are earned when a member receives a piece of loot. Loot has a set value each piece cost. The costs are different depending on the item. For example a weapon is worth more than a pair of gloves and a tier 2 item is worth more than a tier 1 item. We are still working out what values to apply to what items and will have those out shortly.
  10.
  11. Priority (PR)
  12. A player’s Priority is figured out by dividing their EP by their GP. This PR, when measured up against other raiders PR determines who gets the gear when it drops.
  13.
  14. Point Decay
  15. Decay prevents people from saving to many points. Every week both ep and gp decay by a set %. EP decays at 10% for everyone. GP decays for 10% for raiders and trials and 12.5% for core members. For instance 100 points earned this week would be worth 90 points next week. Then 81 points the following week and so on.
  16. Effort Point Minimum (EP-MIN)
  17.
  18. Effort point minimum is a way of rewarding members who show up consistently with higher priority on loot regardless of how many gearpoints they have accumulates. For example if EP-MIN is set at 1200 and 2 members want a piece of gear that drops if one is over the 1500 and one is not the person who is over gets the gear. Even is the person who has less than 1500 has a better PR. Since EP is a direct correlation to your attendance EP-MIN essentially sets a raid attendance requirement and rewards people who meet it.
  19.
  20. Starting the first week EP-MIN will be set at 1200 points. At that point we will evaluate what the final value should be set at to keep it in line with core and raiders that are being consistent and showing up.
