48. Reading from a diary, a lad comes to know about a nobleman from Jaisinghpur, Sartaj Rana, who invited the wrath of the Mhatre brothers, Ranjan and Vikrant, by sending Lovely Singh to free abducted women bound for Thailand. Feeling threatened, he hires Lovely as a bodyguard for his collegian daughter, Divya, and her friend, Maya. Divya does not appreciate being followed around by Lovely and creates a fictional woman, Chhaya, who distracts him by repeatedly phoning him and telling him that she loves him. Lovely believes this person to be real and falls in love. In a bar, Ranjan's brother attacks Divya and is killed by Lovely - setting into motion a chain of events that will pit Lovely not only against the enraged Mhatre brothers but also against Sartaj himself, who believes that Lovely is attempting to elope with his daughter.
 49. The daughter of a wealthy nobleman secretly falls in love with her bodyguard.
 50. Though a reasonable storyline, the screenplay doesn't do justice. Very ordinary performances. Over the top actions with unjustifiable dialogues, which is a very common thing for a Salman Khan movie; as is expected. Worth a watch if you are a die-hard fan. Music is pretty good. So is the choreography, especially the Katrina Kaifeng sequence.

The story starts with unquestionable irregularities buts cuts it pretty okay for about half an hour with a typical Salman entry as has become quite often in his movies. The second us pretty descent when compared to entire length. The music, specially the "I love you" number has been picturised well. The movie wasn't too long and the plot wasn't stretched either which is good thing and goes in the favor of the director. Unfortunately the same can't said for the direction of scenes itself. Overall an okay-one-time watch; then again, maybe not.

Overall an okay or one time watch. Then again, maybe not.
 51. Salman Khan and South Indian remakes go hand in hand especially post 2000 with TERE NAAM(2003) his comeback film, even pre WANTED he gave several flops which were romantic films, but WANTED again came as a new lease and then DABAANG(not a remake but looked like a South remake) and then READY and now BODYGUARD

BODYGUARD was first made in Malyalam in 2010 starring Dileep and Nayantara and then came Tamil remake KAVALAN starring Vijay and Asin and now in Hindi

The film however is not changed mostly and is almost similar to the first original Malyalam film however keeping in mind Sallu's current B.O. the film is Indianised or I would call it Salmanised.

Nowdays most Sallu films follow the formula, entry song which is almost identical to WANTED/DABAANG, Action scenes where Sallu does dives in the sky and his shirt going off All find their place in the film

The film is more of a love story though and the action scenes are just 3-4 but are over the top and stretched The film's comedy is in poor taste especially the gigs done on the dwarf and the long comedy track of Rajat Rawail called Tsunami Even the villainy track seems like an add-on and unlike the original isn't well handled

The film is timepass and has some good funny scenes and also some good emotional scenes but overall it's nothing out of the world as the hype.

The film falters in several places, the screenplay is of convenience Suddenly Kareena's friend doing a volte face seems indigestable and also the sudden sort of ending which is straight lifted from the original but looks too abrupt

Direction by Sidique who directed all 3 films is okay but the film could be yet much better Music by Himesh/Pritam is decent, TERI MERI stands out of the lot but all songs make abrupt entries in the film Action scenes are over the top, typically Salman Khan style action where gravity and everything goes for a toss The first train stunt is overdone and far fetched

Salman Khan yet again gets a chance to go through motions, or might say play an extension of himself, nothing new He plays his part well but now he is getting old and typecast Still he is better then his recent attempts Kareena Kapoor too is in comfort zone and does well, for the first time their pairing has worked at the B.O. Amongst rest Raj Babbar does well in his role, Hazel Keech is okay in her debut while Aditya Panscholi in a small role does yet again a negative role after DMD but does well in his part Mahesh Manjerekar in his fourth in a row film with Salman Khan too is thankfully restrained though his role is nothing great Amongst rest Rajat Rawail is terrible Karisma Kapoor has dubbed for Kareena in scenes where Kareena acts as Chaaya but it leaves no mark and looks like a forced gimmick
 52. Indian helmer Siddique delivers a middling melange of action, romance, music and slapstick in his hotly anticipated Hindi version of "Bodyguard."
