Hi and welcome to the Mirthful Hall, where trolls of Alternia are free to feast and entertain themselves with music, games, drink and themselves. There are a few rules to follow, and if you do, hopefully we won't have any problems, such as the need to kick or ban. Have fun!

RULE 1 - OC TROLLS ONLY
1. First of all, The Mirthful Hall is a place on Alternia, set before Sgrub occurs. This means there are only trolls unaffected by the Sgrub game. No god tiers, fan kids/cherubs/guardians, canons of any thing including external to Homestuck, and anything that isn't a fan troll.

RULE 2 - YOUR TROLL MUST MAKE SENSE
2. Keeping in theme with the first rule, keep in mind that this IS based on Alternia. Therefore, Alternian canons apply. Jadebloods, for instance, are extremely rare and will be treated with exceeding shock and respect, and if your troll assaults a troll who is a good deal higher than him/her, then don't be surprised if people just turn on him or her. (Please, however, don't take this too far. Don't assume that all trolls are going to instantly kneel to yours if it's supremely high, and keep in mind that some trolls, beaten up or not, are rebellious. Don't complain OOC just because some guy's troll doesn't want to.)

RULE 3 - EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR TROLL MUST HAVE A DECENT EXPLANATION
3. Keep come common sense around you. If you show some ability that is questionable, you may be questioned about it. If the admins find your ability or weapons or whatever, acceptable, we won't bother you about them again unless it once again falls under a sceptical eye. If you can't explain it, you may become a prime target for sceptism or criticism. Mutated blood colors and breaking the canon storyline such as having quadrants with canon trolls will lead you to be kicked, unless you have a damn good reason.

RULE 4 - KEEP ALL OOC TO AN OOC MEMO
4. Please keep all OOC to a seperate OOC memo, which you will be expected to make if you wish to speak Out of Character. If you really see any kind of absolutely needed reason for talking OOC in the Mirthful Hall, please use OOC barriers to indicate the difference between your character and you talking. EG: This would be my character talking, ((This would be the author of said character talking.)) On an alternative note, please do not be a dick OOC. You can be a dick IC, but please keep all personal insults to a private chat.

RULE 5 - TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR NEW CHARACTERS
5. Please notify people of any OC alts you have created, so as to avoid confusion. Please do this in the temporary OOC memo that may be created ((If not, create one yourself an announce it)), so as to avoid breaking rule 4.

RULE 6 - PLEASE DO NOT IMITATE OR 'PUPPETEER' OTHER OC's
6. This may be something that merely irks me, but it is a rule nontheless. Please, OOC, IC or otherwise, do not create tags purposely made to deceive people into thinking that you are someone else, or hijack someone elses account through whatever means you use. This is to avoid confusion, frustration, and possible retcons.

RULE 7 - ALL VIOLENCE IS ALLOWED WITH APPROVAL
7. On the subject of Strife: All strife is allowed. This includes the death of other character, however serious injuries to another character must be cleared for approval by the author of the victim character. For instance if you are about to cut off the limb of another troll, you must ask the author of the amputee before doing so. If they don't accept, you should instead move to do something else altogether, or negotiate some sort of middle point. Also, please be aware you are responsible for your trolls actions. If your troll is shooting around a pistol without reason, and another character calls you out and strifes with you, don't complain because of it.

RULE 8 - LIMITED ERP ALLOWED
8. Everything concerning acts of affection must be kept in a PG to PG-13, and anything that concerns sexual or near-sexual will need to be 20 words long, and NO MORE. Anything serious will need to be taken into private. We won't have people fucking on the floors.
