- >"So let me get this straight."
- "...oh, here we go."
- >"You're letting these primitive fools think of you as a god?"
- "To be terribly honest, what other options are there? Build a castle and relax for a decade?"
- >"You DID build a castle. We ARE relaxing."
- "If you call this relaxing. Besides, you're part of the would-be pantheon too."
- >"You have feathered wings, I have leather wings. There's a difference. Am I to be the demon to your angel?"
- "Ah... no. I don't think they have minds that could handle that dichotomy, to be terribly honest. Besides, you needed practice in working your magics, and it's a good cause, don't you think?"
- >"I suppose there are worse things. We ARE keeping the peace, after all. And it's still nice not to be forced to revert to human form by day any longer."
- "Plus you get to fight fire with fire. Honestly, you fit the avenging angel image better than I do."
- >"Tch... as long as you don't expect me to worship you."
- In short: to heck with the limited range of spells I could have bought in Populous, there are better things I can do. Sure, the tribes' shamans think I'm an affront to everything they represent, but I have more power in my pinky than they could hope to bring down on me.
- Being the spark to ignite the flames of civilization in these simple people was rather satisfying, even if I don't think they'll get behind being primitive for a long time.
