  1. Within this scene, the Captain would take it upon himself to guide his servant, Athena onto a road of true independence whilst he trained her to perfect her own flames. He saw her as someone who had the desire to be a guardian, but, was far too loyal, treating herself more as a slave than she did a servant... Through this brief session of a fiery meditation, Uri would show to Athena one important message, one that will change her life for the better... Reminding her of this and this alone, "You Are Free," in his attempt to break Athena from her mental shackles so that she can truly see the world outside of a life dedication to servitude.
  2.
  3.
  4. [14:40] He folds his arms and leans back. He gives Elora a brief laugh showing that he would never, in any way let the past haunt and torment him as he did when Faira died... "Such things are beyond me, now, we only move forward, but we always remember to cherish the events that brought us all here."
  5.
  6. He then looks to Athena and smiles. "In a way, you are family, aren't you? Well, though more so a family friend, we'll still take care of you."
  7.
  8. Uri thought about his own children and how they will grow up in such a world. "They'll be needing it too... It's only natural that such teachings are passed on fluently... And as for the ancient flame."
  9.
  10. He points to Athena's heart, "It's inside all fire magi, you just need the right conditions in order to mold it and bring it out... Think of those reasons you chose to fight, the reason you are free and what makes you whole."
  11.
  12. He waits for an answerif Elora follows through. Then after, he'd sit on the bench, waiting for the arrival of King Alexander.
  13. (Uri Sanctum)
  14. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  15.
  16. [14:46] While Athena went on to express herself and her mistake Elora would smile just a bit. She didn't see it that way, no. She knew what most people meant when they said certain things in certain ways.
  17.
  18. She had gotten got at that in her 80 years.
  19.
  20. "It's already dear, it's alright. You needn't worry. Uri can show you many things about the Flame. He's one of the few that I know who truly understand it.
  21.
  22. Even more so than some dragonkin."
  23.
  24. The elder looked toward her grandson. Speaking nothing but the truth. At least in her mind.
  25.
  26. "I will be here to offer you what Uri cannot. If you feel as though he's too busy for something come to me. I may not be a fire mage, but I have studied all sorts of magic for many years.
  27.
  28. I'm more than willing to help. Especially if it means helping in the protection of my grandchildren."
  29.
  30. Pausing there she'd look back to Elora and gave him a nod.
  31.
  32. "Good. Good. You remind me so much Cassius, Uri. So much so. You've a strong mind just like him. You'll see yourself through all of this.
  33.
  34. If you ever need any help, any advice. Any at all. All you need to do is ask dear."
  35. (Elora Renae Otho)
  36. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  37.
  38. [14:51] "It's appreciated.. I hope to return that same love and care to the family.", the green haired woman replied with a nod of her head.
  39.
  40. A power that's inside of all fire Magi. The idea was one that was exciting to hear. That there was a power laying dormant in her that she just needed to meet the conditions to unlock and bring that power to the surface. Something like her first power awakening.
  41.
  42. "Please guide me both of you.", the woman replied with something of a soft gentle plea. She would appreciate any and all help.
  43. (Athena Diakonos)
  44. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  45.
  46. [15:01] Uri gives Elora a thank you sort of smile for that compliment of him being much of Cassius before turning his attention to Athena... He began to explain some orientation, though she was already what seemed to be an adept fire magi..
  47.
  48. He thought he'd add onto what she already knew, "Tell me, Athena, what do you think fire truly is? Is it an element used only to burn? Or do you think of it as something more? Like... Is it a light source? Or is it something used to keep you warm and serve as a oven for your meals?"
  49.
  50. He looks into her eyes to see the fire within, "If you think it is any of those but something more, then you are wrong. Because fire itself, is the will to survive deep within your spirit... Fire burns, but it needs fuel to do so just as we need to eat in order to stay alive..."
  51.
  52. He looks to the light that shined from the sun even, though not directly at it. "Fire itself, is like a living energy, pure and raw, more so than what energy magic can be... In fact, you can call it a form of life energy, as all life upon this planet depends on the light of the sun... And within us is that very spark, something that sourced from that great energy... Be it destructive or a flame to defend and mend, it is truly up to you and how you'll shape it in the coming years..."
  53.
  54. His sister Faira, used it purely for destruction while he, used it to defend and mend wounds, hence the title of the Wandering Phoenix... Even now, he would demonstrate such things to Athena by creating flames around his hands, the flames of the ancients... "I cannot tell you how to achieve your own true flame, all I can do is guide you towards it, as everyone has a different approach."
  55. (Uri Sanctum)
  56. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  57.
  58. [15:25] "Well.. I know fire has a multitude of uses.", the Diakonos replied averting her gaze towards the fountain. Her green eyes watching the water flow for a bit of time as the sun reflected off the water's surface. Her gaze would once more fall on Uri when he talked about the true meaning of fire however. It was interesting to hear that her flames held such profound meaning besides its many uses when in the right hands.
  59.
  60. Fire was survival itself as it sought to preserve life. Destruction was simply a by product of that.
  61.
  62. "Again.. I'd love to have both of your guidance. I can surely use all the help I can get."
  63. (Athena Diakonos)
  64. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  65.
  66. [15:29] He nods his head for this. "I said all of those things because, if you want... We can go and train now, in the place I was trained and found myself in."
  67.
  68. He then looks to Elora, "Grandma, best to catch up on another day?" He asked while preparing to leave for their next destination.
  69.
  70. "Due to us being in war times, I can't take you to the beach again, but since you've found your element through the dragon, it's best we just get to the point right?"
  71.
  72. He points to the church, "First, we have to meditate, it'll be a little boring, not as exciting, but, you need to learn a certain breathing method for this to work fluently."
  73.
  74. From there, he waits, so that they could make their departure.
  75. (Uri Sanctum)
  76. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  77.
  78. [15:33] The woman nodded a time or two as the two were speaking. She just didn't really have much to add. When Uri addressed her directly she would shake her head.
  79.
  80. "Whatever you prefer dear. If you two are off somewhere else the don't let me keep you. Be safe and may the stars guide you both."
  81.
  82. Dipping her head then she'd go back to her thoughts. There was many things on her mind.
  83. (Elora Renae Otho)
  84. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  85.
  86. [15:38] Uri replies to his grandma.
  87.
  88. "Take care grandma, and may they also guide you---And also.. Love you," he smiles to his grand-mama before leaving off to the training spot.
  89. (Uri Sanctum)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [15:39] Uri Sanctum says, "Now then..."
  93. [15:39] Uri Sanctum says, "We'll prepare for the meditation of the Sun."
  94. [15:46] Uri Sanctum says, "If you are ready, sit down on the meditation mat. "
  95. [15:54] Athena nodded her head in response to the suggestion that they just get to the point of things now that they have the necessary bases covered already. War times were always scary though after being attacked just because of who her master was.. being attacked because of simply where she was from seemed all the more realistic and scary even. She was still much too weak to do much of anything too for that matter. She needed much more training.
  96.
  97. She'd follow the man's finger to the church. Unlike most, Athena didn't seem too bothered by the idea of meditation. It was honestly kind of relaxing to her in all honesty and would likely steady her unstable and murky mind.
  98.
  99. "I don't mind doing it, but I hope I don't disappoint you.", the girl replied scratching at her left cheek absent mindedly. The moment the pair arrived, Green eyes set themselves upon the 'mediation mat' it looked clean and comfortable to sit on.
  100.
  101. The womanwould ease herself down on the mat before setting both of her hues on the Sanctum.
  102. (Athena Diakonos)
  103. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  104.
  105. [15:55] Athena Diakonos says, "I'm ready to begin."
  106. [16:00] "Good," he said while waiting for Athena to relax herself... Though she sat on the mat and warned him that she did not want to disappoint him. Uri knew that such things would be difficult, he after all, endured similar or even worse training than this. And he knew, that Athena needed this guidance in order to succeed..
  107.
  108. "The times I've been here, were to train under the stars with father Inante, those were great days, a day where the star, Anos connected to me, showing a masterpiece..."
  109.
  110. He trails around the area, letting his hand glide through the fire that burned around them chanting a small incantation whilst pouring his own heat into the flames, making them rise higher and higher through his own will...
  111.
  112. "The second time I came here, was to burn the body of my twin sister Faira… To allow her flames to live on through me... Now, I am here, teaching both myself again and you..."
  113.
  114. One by one, the fires around Athena would burn hotter and grow in size... "Close your eyes, feel the heat for what it is, and let your spirit become warm, and let your body defend against the raw temperature emitting from the flames..."
  115.
  116. "Breathe Athena... Breathe and let the fire be nurtured within, so that your own inner flame could grow much like these you see here... Breathe, and mold it into your own masterpiece," Uri instructed.
  117.
  118. Player can Dice Roll if they feel it is appropriate for a response.
  119. (Uri Sanctum)
  120. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  121.
  122. [16:28] Athena listened intently to what Uri had to say about his time training here under the same roof. At the mention of the stars, green eyes lit up curiously. She wasn't exactly a stranger to the stars above as her boyfriend was attuned to them and even read a book about it with her once, but she didn't know it had any ties to their element of fire. It interested her even further to learn about this ancient flame now.
  123.
  124. The chanting of the Sanctum was more than audible to the Diakonos, but it was foreign to her ears as she'd struggle to understand any of the meaning behind the individual words of the chant.
  125.
  126. "I'm sorry to hear that.. truly.", was all she could offer, "My.. condolences. It must be terrible to lose a sibling." Green irises widened in surprise at the sight of the growing flames, and she though she offended the man. "I didn't mean anything bad!", the swordsman started but would find herself cut off by herinstructions.
  127.
  128. She'd do as she was told to. Something ingrained to her from the very start as a maid of house Brienne. Green hues falling shut before she'd feel the heat of the lights around her. If she were to see the flames for what they were then they'd have to all be life destroying and consuming all it can to shine and survive. It had to keep eating or else it'd die. It wasn't something it chose to do. It's.. a necessity. Thinking like that she almost didn't want to defend herself against the raw temperature. Who was she to resist those just trying to survive in this world. As if her life was more important than another living thing's. Why not just feed herself to the flames?
  129.
  130. Subconsciously without making the conscious effort to, Athena would begin to pour her mana into the flames already present in the room feeding them her power. A manifestation of the girl's selfless nature though good in intention might make the room grow chaotic as those flames grew far larger than they were supposed to naturally on their own. The heat in the scene increasing exponentially.
  131. (Athena Diakonos)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133.
  134. [16:31] Viorell Beret whispers: [LEWD!!]
  135. [16:36] "Breathe..." He coached Athena whilst he continued to walk around in the room.. The flames were taken care of by his own mana... He poured his ehat into each bowl of fire that was already there within the celestial room of the church... He would not utilize his cosmic magic just yet, but rather he would continue to push Athena through this meditation process...
  136.
  137. "You might feel like you're suffocating, you might even feel as if the heat and the pressure is too much, but... You will push through it, if not now, then eventually," the young Captain waited for a sign, one that would show him that Athena had that potential within her. She was a warrior and a maiden after all.
  138.
  139. "Do not worry about burning down the church... This room is strong and its runes will not allow for such to happen, neither will I... After this little session is over... We'll take a break but before then.."
  140.
  141. He could not stress this enough, "Breathe..." He wanted for the flames within Athena to be nurtured, like a mother raising a child. She would have to find that single point within her spirit, heat it up and have it expand within so that while it could ignite as power, it could also shine as a representation of her own life force...
  142.
  143. Athena could be more. She will be more... This is what the Captain wanted for her, for Athena to become her own masterpiece. "Breathe... And tell me about that horizon once you find it," he had hoped that she came here willing to exhaust herself or experience the true heat within from any form of failure if she does not succeed.
  144. (Uri Sanctum)
  145. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  146.
  147. [16:48] Having wandered far and wide in search of his guildmates, the young drakanite eventually finds himself in front of the Church in the heart of Osrona. He felt tense, as if he were walking on egg shells. Ever since the start of the war, people had been captured one after the other in various and bizarre ways. Given his stance on the Osronian oligarch, he was accepted with open arms back in his home domain of Theria. It was for this reason that he kept a low profile in Osrona, and kept his guard up.
  148.
  149. Though he was not part of the war, nor did he wish to participate, he could never be so sure. Just standing in front of the monastery had given him a chill unlike any other. As if stepping in would cement the end of his life or something along those lines. Realistically, Viorell had nothing to be cautious of, but during these times of war nothing was ever certain.
  150.
  151. He stood out front for a few minutes, and slowly began to gather a few glances. Noticing this, he braces himself and enters into the church. Frankly, it was uncharacteristic of the roaming Drakanite to be within a church of the Faith, but something had drawn him in. He had an irrational feeling as if he'd find something he'd been searching for within these walls.
  152.
  153. Casually, he enters and sees the various clergy going about their business. Unsure of where to go, let alone what to do, he simply began to walk around. His feet carried him through the halls, passing member after member of the church. It wasn't as if he were trespassing or anything, simply browsing if anything. Eventually, his feet come to a stop.
  154.
  155. Directly in front of him are two familiar faces, both surrounded by a ring of fire. Seeing this, his body instinctively smiled. "Let me find out you two are doing something you shouldn't be?" teased Viorell as he began to utilize his own mana to protect himself from the increased heat of the room. "It's been a while guys."
  156. (Viorell Beret)
  157. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  158.
  159. [16:54] Athena would nod her head. That's right she was just getting a bit too distracted in the surrounding flames. She needed to focus on her own flames here and now. Herself.. Her mind's eye envisioning her inner fire burning within her. It was a meager flame that didn't burn all that bright, but it existed.
  160.
  161. The green haired woman would slow her breathing and focus on her inner flame before pouring her thoughts and mana into it. She'd do her best to nurture it and bring it forth. Her body igniting in dancing orange embers that flickered about the Diakonos from head to toe as she sat there. She was so focused in fact that she didn't even seem to notice Viorell. the flames shrouding her slowly growing in heat and intensity now. Green hair swaying as she burned brighter and brighter.
  162.
  163. She didn't have to worry about anything. The room could take anything she could dish out. She could just feed herself. She could let it all out.
  164. (Athena Diakonos)
  165. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  166.
  167. [17:03] Whilst there before Athena, the young Captain would reach to place a hand onto both her head and one on her shoulder. "Let it burn, let it all burn until you see beauty within the light or through the ashes you create... Breathe... See it through that this journey is one meant for you... Breathe," he repeats for Athena, because all it took, was simple breathing and motivation once she had gotten through the spiritual obstacles...
  168.
  169. "And finally... Become," he said as he would suddenly channel a hint of his own energy into her system. To better guide Athena, to show her what a true ancient flame felt like, and how she could perfect this, not by being a race born in fire or someone gifted by it upon birth, but simply, by understanding it, dancing with it, showing the flames that you yourself are a product of its work that she, Athena could utilize the heat at any extent.
  170.
  171. "Viorell," he said to the crew mate of his. "You've been out forsome time, how was it, on the other side?" He already knew where he was, but wanted the information of how he lived during the time of it all.
  172.
  173. "I'm just glad you're safe if anything... Times have been rough, and now, is a better time than any, to guide our friends into finding the potential within themselves..."
  174.
  175. He closes his eyes to channel this energy once more, not that he was giving Athena energy but guiding her just as Innate had guided him long ago... But soon, he would release her, "Cease-Fire," he said, calling an end to the meditation..."But control it through your will, do not let it control you.." He spoke from personal experience... Accidentally burning down a forest upon his awakening of the primordial.
  176. (Uri Sanctum)
  177. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  178.
  179. [17:09] "It's been a bit wild, and adventurous. Oddly enough, I didn't get to do what I really wanted to," he answers. His shoulders lift for a shrug, while his face radiated a gleeful smile.
  180.
  181. Just from observation, he could tell that the two were doing some for of meditation. He thought it were good for Athena to have someone assist her, especially since he believed she needed a confidence booster. "If I didn't know better, I think you've started to radiate more than the last time I saw you Athena," he'd call out.
  182.
  183. Though she seemed focused, he wasn't going to disrupt her. Instead he ambles over to the side and protected himself from the heat with a layer of cold. Standing to the corner, he'd watch the fire magi embrace her inner flame.
  184. (Viorell Beret)
  185. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  186.
  187. [17:18] Athena would focus on her breathing keeping it as steady as possible while envision the flames within and allowing them to flood to the surface in an aura of dancing embers that shrouded her. She'd do her best to maintain this steady output while trying to release all she could simultaneously... Needless to say such an exercise was difficult for her even when she focused more on herself than others. The flames swaying visibly unstable at certain points of time before stabilizing again.
  188.
  189. When the ancient flames were poured into her, the Diakonos almost lost everything altogether at once. Her own fire beginning to consume her whole. Giving yourself for others was a noble cause, but it was surely a self destructive one as it started to tear into her. The woman's breathing growing heavier and more ragged by the moment as she'd struggle to breathe. She couldn't control the fire.
  190.
  191. Even when the Sanctum said to cease fire, she couldn't quite get it to bend to her will. She simply couldn't feel herself worthy of such authority. The fire started to rage more wildly across the girl's form and start to spread out dangerously.
  192.
  193. "I- I can't!!", she'd exclaim, "I'm so bad!!"
  194. (Athena Diakonos)
  195. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  196.
  197. [17:28] "Athena..." He tried to calm her down by being calm himself... Though the flames would spread, though they continued to burn within, making her feel all these things... Uri remained, and his own flame would begin to take form, all in the attempt to help Athena channel and take control, to give herself that authority upon fire.
  198.
  199. "Breathe Athena, focus... Breathe in, to increase your flames...Breathe out, to slowly release them under your control, so breathe Athena, just breathe," he continued to instruct.
  200.
  201. Around his figure though, the air became hotter, going from a warm sensation, into a collection of embers, rotating around Uri soon to take its solid form as a wave of flame, a shroud that would continue to rotate around his body as he continued to instruct Athena..
  202.
  203. "Breathe..." He got closer to the green haired maiden, daring to step into the territory of flames that were unchained, and as wild as a frightened animal.
  204.
  205. He got closer, and closer, having their flames dance with one another even, until he would deliver onto her, a hug to assure that she was in control, that Athena was in charge of the outcomes within her life. "Breathe, take control, only then, will you feel that your fiery spirit has been set free," said the Captain.
  206.
  207. To first control the flames... Athena needed to remember an important message that would help her along the way.
  208.
  209. You Are Free.
  210. (Uri Sanctum)
  211. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  212. 17:41] Athena was panic by this point and her fret and worry would only seem to add fuel to the fire making her dilemma far worse than it could've been. Her flames running wild and swaying about in exaggerated waves. Tears in green eyes as she was told to breathe and focus in a calm tone. Her eyes reflecting her own flames and the light of the man mentoring her right now. She noted the way the embers seemed to rotate around his form in a uniform manner yet still as a wave. It was still somewhat wild but controlled well enough to fall in line with the user's orders.
  213.
  214. When hugged the Magi's body tensed up before she'd exclaim loudly, "Let go! I don't want to scar you like I was!!" Her fire growing larger in a flare of heat, but it was then that she found her grip. She wouldn't allow the flame to hurt people. She wouldn't hurt people. Not people that don't deserve it at least.
  215.
  216. The flames surrounding the green haired girl waved but started to rotate in a similar dance to the captain's flames though in the opposite rotation pattern as to not clash or go against him. Still crying, she'd set her sights on the Sanctum, "Are you alright?.. Am I doing it?" Though she was sobbing, her breath was surprisingly steady as she forced herself to not make an error she was cognizant of.
  217. (Athena Diakonos)
  218. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  219.
  220. [17:50] She, was doing it... After the strife she had just went through, struggling with her own flames, fearful of them even. She was finally doing it. Uri would be nothing short of amazement upon seeing such a sight... He was guiding her not to find any particular ability but to control and show pure dominance over her flames so that they can be molded into a piece of work, an art.
  221.
  222. "That's right Athena... You are, you're finally there." He smiled at the Diakonos, because her flames were submitting to her rather than she submit to the raw power of fire. They were slowly coming to her grasp, to have Athena acknowledge herself as the one to tame these flames as their master.
  223.
  224. "You're finally dancing," he would give Athena a slight pat on the head during their hug.. He would maintain such, until the flames had died down. "Don't worry about my state of health, I'll always be fine... But these flames?" He held onto her just so that she would know, that the flames were apart of her, that she could determine who they shall burn and who they would embrace with warmth. "They're yours now," Uri spoke with a stern tone, now lowering his own flame, thus instructing her to do the same.
  225. (Uri Sanctum)
  226. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  227.
  228. 18:02] Watching in the corner, Viorell saw the embers dance around between the two mages. One moment it looked as if one were soothing the other, then the next the two were in harmony. Seeing such a display itself was a wonder and a showcase of art itself.
  229.
  230. The flames perfectly illustrated their masters, one being a meek and docile person with hidden potential, and the other of an individual with a strong sense of individuality and morals. Truly he felt lucky to be associated with such people. Without even realizing it, he was smiling at Athena's growth.
  231.
  232. "Athena, have more confidence in yourself. Uri believes in you, and so do I as well as everyone else of the guild," he began. The drakanite steps forward from his corner and slowly closes the distance between himself and the duo. "Hesitation is defeat, remember that. If your mind is filled with uncertainty, and hesitation, your magic will show it. It is a gateway to the heart."
  233.
  234. Closer and closer the drakanite gets, eventually standing within arms reach. A hand lifts and gently taps at her heart. "This right here? This is all that matters, so keep up the good work. Okay?" The drakanite spoke with a calm voice. By now he had dispelled his own magic, leaving him open to the influence of the two flames, and thrusting his confidence into the woman.
  235. (Viorell Beret)
  236. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  237.
  238. [18:14] Athena stopped crying by this point as she was reassured by Uri that this power was her own. That its life and will this day further was hers. It was hers to decide what to do with and utilize to their full potential. It was life itself, and it could be use as a manifestation of her own power and as a force that'll preserve other's or the good in the world by destroying the bad in its wake. Yes, the more she thought about it the more natural it became and burn.
  239.
  240. Green eyes would finally take notice of Viorell as he spoke this time around now that she was outside of her own head. She was once more being told to be more confident in her own power and abilities. If this flame was truly her own then it's wild nature and uncontrolled destruction must've been her own insecurities and discomfort with acknowledging that power. It was always hers to command but because she thought less of herself than she was she limited her own ability to use them. At least that's what the Diakonos seemed to think. The Beret's words seem to affirm that sudden thought.

  242. The woman would watch as Viorell approached and tapped her heart. The flames still burning bright, but they didn't seem nearly as destructive or overbearing as they did just moment's prior. Her fire magic was once more being tied to her heart. Come to think of it.. she'd only really gained a semblance of control over her power when she was scared of hurting the Captain. Her want and desire not to hurt someone she cared about.. her heart and emotions stopped her and pushed her further. A smile finding its way onto Athena's visage.
  243.
  244. "Thank you.. Both of you!", the girl exclaimed proudly with a wide smile on her face likely wider than any grin they've seen prior, "I'll use them to protect everyone I promise. That's what my flames are meant for. I'll burn for others until I can't burn any further... I swear it."

  248. [18:19] FInally, the fire had ceased... The flames taken by Athena, truly her own, or one day will be. "And I'm proud of you for it," said Uri as he would look towards the door...
  249.
  250. He turns to Violrell for giving such encouragement and aid to his crewmate, "Thank you Viorell, the assistance was needed... As a crew, we help eachother…" He smiles at the both of them..
  251.
  252. He backs away, just joyful that Athena was capable of coming this far. Because step by step, day by day she was finding her own identity her own place in the world of violence of which they lived.
  253.
  254. "It's just about time now... For us to meet the King," said Uri. "And I'm sure, even he will see the brightened spirit of a new Athena."
