- LAST TIME ON ZURPG - Darkness Incarnate
- Corsava, you went on a most excellent adventure with your goody ol' pal, Bloodwind, trekking through Gerudo Fortress for the Lens of Truth, and finding out your past is clouded in the shadow of Ganondorf. With the Lens of Truth, you were able to journey across Gerudo Desert and make it to the Spirit Temple. Along the way, you found out Bloodwind's horribly misunderstood around the world, and he's got a Grima Wormtongue by the name of Sithe constantly whispering in his ear.
- Though as it turns out, you misunderstood his intentions as well. After becoming best buds during the journey, it quickly devolved as he divulged into his grand master plan of killing the Gods and Goddesses, which... really doesn't solve anything. You also met with Koume and Kotake, the surrogate mothers of Ganondorf, who were supposed to help you unlock your Dark Potential and release their son from his seal. Instead, they got "splooshed", you gained their powers, and you summoned him anyways for different reasons.
- The situation turned into a 3-way free for all between yourself, Bloodwind, and Ganondorf. However, courtesies of a quick raid to Shady's Donation Bin, instead of being a bystander, you not only fended them off, but you warded Bloodwind away, and straight up killed Ganondorf, ending the reign of terror on the Gerudo and their cursed history. The spirits of Gerudo past hailed you as Queen Corsava, and you returned to Gerudo Fortress to usher in a new era for your people.
- However, before you could start turning over a new leaf, the land rumbled, and in the distance, you could see Hyrule being plagued by the forces of evil. The Invasion of Hyrule... has begun.
- <DM> -=SESSION START=-
- <Corsava> Hi
- <DM> *Corsava, you watch from the mountaintop, as thousands of enemies spill out from the center of Hyrule, pushing out in all directions... except Hyrule City, oddly enough.
- <Corsava> "Well...fuck. We need to prepare our defenses immediately..." [rushes back to the Gerudo Fortress as soon as possible]
- <DM> *However, before you can observe more, a dark stormcloud quickly expands towards your direction, blocking your view of Hyrule Field.
- <DM> *You rush back from Gerudo Fortress to Gerudo Fortress, in a rush to return from whence you came to the location you already are at.
- <Corsava> [heads down to the rest of my people, to make preparations for the coming war]
- <DM> *You see surges of lightning strike the edge of the Gerudo Mountain Range, the stormclouds continuing to spread, threatening to blot out the sun.
- <DM> *Dropping down from the mountaintop effortlessly, your people have gathered outside the Mountain Temple.
- <DM> *All 50 of em. Some look a bit uneasy at first, seeing you, recognizing you for your destructive past as someone who lost control of their dark powers.
- <DM> *Nabooru and Ahlma, however, bow their heads, and the rest soon follow.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: We are at your command, Queen Corsava.
- <DM> *Despite the coming storm, both literally and figuratively, Nabooru seems as calm and soft-spoken as ever, and yet her words are heard clearly among the rising winds.
- <Corsava> [bows back] "I am honored at your trust. I will endeavor to be worthy of it. The situation here...this...is bad. We need to make ready. The enemy will have flying creatures, and I can't be sure at the size of their hordes. Holding this location will be difficult."
- <DM> *Ahlma raises a larger Scimitar with her two hands and lets the weight of the blade crack the earth below her.
- <DM> *Fine, Falchion.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: They can bring all the forces they want. They'll never break into our Fortress!
- <DM> *She raises the blade, and the Elite Guard under her follow with a brief war chant, raising their own blades.
- <DM> *You notice Nabooru nearby is in a deep state of meditation, looking down at the ground like the sand is the most interesting thing in the world.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: I... wouldn't be so sure of that.
- <DM> *There's a pool of what seems to be glowing, spiritual water forming where the course, rough sand is. Peering into it, you see something rumbling through the entrance, cracking the ground as it moves through. Whatever it is, it's underground. Before you can see anymore though, clouds block the pool of water, and Nabooru's meditation is broken.
- <DM> *For the first time since you've met her, her calm demeanor is interrupted.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: What... what is this? Something's blocking my vision. I can't see beyond the river!
- <DM> *Looks like you may need to do scouting the old fashioned way...
- <Corsava> "Then they have some means of disabling your powers of scrying..." [she sighs] "This is bad, if they're tunneling below us, we will not be able to hold the fortress..."
- <DM> [Ahlma]: That's impossible. There's a river separating us from them. They can't possibly tunnel under us.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: Shall I sent our scouts out to check?
- <Corsava> "Do you imagine that the river extends down to bedrock?"
- <Corsava> "Yes, of course."
- <Corsava> "We must confirm, and begin to reinforce. We will need to get those who cannot fight out of the line of attack."
- <DM> *She calls out to a pair of Gerudo you've actually met before. They were the patrols on the desert gate.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: Ka'deja! Ay'esha! Go and see what the enemy is doing! *Do not engage*.
- <DM> *The two of them nod and dash out.
- <DM> *One of the Gerudo pipes up at your last line.
- <DM> [Gerudo Warrior]: Reinforce? With what? We're all that's left.
- <Corsava> "A frontal engagement favors our enemy, of course. But we have a few assets to aid in our defense. First, each of us is a capable archer. Nimbleness and agility are key to our people, and those skills translate to the use of the bow. [combines the broken bow blades] Our speed and range advantage will aid us in keeping our own safe while whittling down the enemy numbers. We'll need to man easily evacuated positions on the walls by the entrance to have the best angle of attack, but it should be doable..."
- <DM> [Ahlma]: *surprised* NANI?! Those are-!
- <DM> *Ahlma's just going full-on anime reaction as she recognizes the Broken Bow.
- <DM> *The warrior that interjected seems unsure, but Nabooru puts a hand on her shoulder.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: We have always been outnumbered in the past. This is no different. We are strong together as sisters, and nothing will break that.
- <DM> *She nods back in your direction.
- <Corsava> "You are right to be concerned. We are not invincible, but we are fierce, unyielding, and we have an advantage of maneuverability over our foes. If we must yield the fortress, we can survive in the desert as nomads for a time as we ready ourselves to retake our home."
- <Corsava> "It would be my preference that it not come to that, and I think that if we can prevent our enemy from bringing their numbers to bear, we can overcome their defenses and grind them to dust."
- <DM> *The warriors nod in return to you. They seem to have accepted you.
- <DM> *The Spirit Sage raises her swords into the air.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: SISTERS! Let the enemy come to our blades, to be stricken down by them as the sun reflects off our spirits! WE FIGHT AS ONE!
- <DM> *Just as she finishes that speech, the expanding stormclouds rapidly cover the skies above Gerudo Fortress and the desert as well. The sun is no more.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: ...
- <DM> [Nabooru]: Even without the light in the sky, our spirits are strong. They shine with radiance. We shall be a light in the darkness, and shine even when the sun cannot!
- <DM> *Now there's a battlecry from them. Nice save, Nabooru.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: Archers, dust off our fortifications and ready for battle!
- <DM> *Half the warriors switch to bows and arrows, and they gather into the cliffside battlements.
- <DM> *The spirit sage turns to you, Corsava.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: Your orders, Queen Corsava?
- <Corsava> "We will need our toughest to create a choke-point within the entranceway. The archers will focus their fire on targets giving issue to the vanguard. While they fight, I will be using the Broken Bow as an artillery piece to destroy multiple foes at a time. We need to uncover the location of our explosives, as they could even turn the tide of the battle. I need you to aid the frontline champions to keep them from faltering."
- <DM> [Nabooru]: How many should take aim from the battlements?
- <DM> *Ahlma goes ahead and directs the civilian populace, all twenty of 'em, to fan out within the Fortress and look for those bombs.
- <Corsava> "We should devote ten to thirteen of our own to the front, the rest should make use of ranged attacks."
- <DM> *Nabooru directs a few more to the battlements. The remaining dozen ready their blades, including of Alhma's Elite, as denoted by a black and gold vest over their traditional Gerudo garb.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: Shall we mete them at the front of the entrance, or prepare for an ambush?
- <Corsava> "We should meet them mid-way if we can, so that they are exposed within the corridor for our archers."
- <DM> [Nabooru]: Very well. Let's move!
- <DM> *RTS MODE, ACTIVATE!
- <DM> *Alright, Corsava, it's all you to direct your troops! If you want any automated, just give a general order to Nabooru or Ahlma to act as subcommanders.
- <DM> *REV UP THAT AGE OF EMPIRES BOYZ, WE'RE GOIN' TO WAR!
- <Corsava> I'm going to give Alma the sword I recovered from Ganon, then.
- <DM> *You hand Ahlma back the sword she used to carry.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: I thought this sword just... hated me and left!
- <Corsava> "I was able to recover it. I feel it will serve our people better in your hands than mine."
- <DM> *She puts the Falchion into the sash on her back. She then wields her old sword, now rebranded into the Greatsword of the Desert Champion, once more. With a few familiar swings, she puts on a confident smile.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: I'm going to love bashing some heads in with this. I am honored that you'd return such a blade to me.
- <DM> *And there she goes, just casually hauling around one big sword on her back, and wielding another, like it's hardly any extra effort.
- <Corsava> [nods, bowing my head] Of course. Hoarding power is not my way. The power of our people must be used as best it can be if we are to survive."
- <DM> *Friendship level up!
- <DM> *Your charismatic Santa Clausing strikes a chord with her, and she feels a freedom she's not felt since her early warrior days.
- <DM> *Alright, with your archers standing by in the battlements, the rest of you have gotten into position at the center of the entrance, readying for the incoming attack.
- <Corsava> [busts out the Grimoire of Grand Sorcery and uses the magic reduction to place Haste on myself without expending magic]
- <DM> *From the entrance of the ravine, the two scouts you sent out are returning, and dashing back in full force. One of them already has their blades out, trying to defend against what appears to a bat with bladed wings, hurling itself at her.
- <DM> Gerudo = Heads
- <DM> $1d2
- <Disco-Navi> DM: 2
- Total: 2
- <DM> right, Disco Navi doesn't do heads/tails
- <DM> *The Keese whirls in and strikes the Gerudo in the legs, downing her and preventing her from retreating further. The other Gerudo sticks around to help.
- <DM> *You can see they're just barely at the entrance of the ravine, though it's out of range of your archers.
- <DM> *At least, the archers that are in the cliffside battlements.
- <DM> *You can probably aim and fire at it though.
- <Corsava> [fires my Broken Bow using a spirit arrow]

- <DM> *Your Spirit Arrow hits! It doesn't quite kill it though, only losing 3 Hearts and Magic.
- <DM> *Just then, one of the Gerudo up there, Ka'deja, strikes with her blades!
- <DM> Ka'deja = 1
- <DM> $1d2
- <Navi> DM: You flipped 1 coin. Result: Tails.
- <DM> *She tries to leap into the air to strike it, but you see a gust of wind push her away, barreling her into the wall.
- <DM> *The Keese gears up for another attack run.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: We should move to reinforce our sisters, not sniping like cowards! Sisters, CHARGE!
- <DM> *Annnd there goes your formation already. Seems the Gerudo are potentially... overprotective of each other.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: Wait, Ahlma, we don't to send everyone-
- <DM> *Too late, Ahlma and the Elite Guard have already rushed in.
- <Corsava> [sighs] Of course we lost cohesion before the battle. Why *wouldn't* we lose cohesion before the battle.
- <DM> *With their combined efforts, they manage to take down the Keese, but now that they're bunched up at the end of the ravine that doesn't have a bunch of archers ready to reinforce...
- <Corsava> [wisdom +5]
- <DM> *Whelp, end of round 1, enjoy the first of many +5 Wisdoms...
- <DM> *Note to self: WRITE A COUNTERMEASURE FOR THIS LATER.
- <DM> *Anywho, half of Ahlma's elite guard is hauling Ay'esha back. However, Ahlma, Ka'deja, and the remaining 3 Elites are still at the front of the ravine.
- <DM> *It seems they're enjoying the thirst for battle.
- * Corsava uses the Twilight scope to get a sense of the enemy's position and layout
- <DM> [Nabooru]: An entrenchment is a sensible plan, Corsava, but we Gerudo aren't usually ones to stand still.
- <Corsava> "Their courage is commendable, though their tactical awareness could use some work."
- <DM> [Nabooru]: We usually react to directly what's in front of and around us. Few see the big picture...
- <DM> *You check things out through the scope, annnd through the gaps caused by Ahlma and co. leaping about, you mainly see flocks of Keese, darting in and out. Your Gerudo companions... don't seem to be really hitting.
- <DM> *Further behind the Keese, on the other side of the river, there's these large, fully armored knights, each carrying oversized ball-and-chains. However, they're not moving from their position. Presumably, such large warriors have no way to cross the river... in theory.
- <DM> *You can't see much more that that though, since your crazy Gerudo compatriots won't. Stop. Moving.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: Their agility is unmatched... though I suppose that's not the greatest right now.
- <DM> *As Ay'esha is returned to where you are, Nabooru gets down to healing her wound.
- <Corsava> [sighs and fires another Spirit Arrow into the Keese to aid the combatants]
- <DM> [Nabooru]: I'll restore her here. Go, Corsava, get our lines back here.
- <DM> *Roll away!
- <Corsava> "Of course."

- <DM> *Said Keese you're firing at already used a reroll to defend a big hit from Ahlma.
- <DM> *Your arrow zips by, striking the Keese in the heart for 26 - 9 = 15. 10 - 15 = -5
- <DM> *17
- <DM> *The Keese is one-shotted, and you gain... oh my god, why are you this broken.
- <DM> *You gain 17 Hearts and Magic. Not recover. Gain.
- <Corsava> [rushes towards Ahlma to give her the order to pull back into position]
- <DM> *Three of the Keese fly past Ahlma and co. over to where you are. As soon as they get closer, you feel a powerful gust of wind.
- <DM> *With your... what'd you say, 19 Power? You find yourself thrown off your feet, and your attempt to reunite with Ahlma fails, as you find you can't push forward.
- <DM> Wind Field:
- <DM> DESCRIPTION: A great gush of wind always surrounds a group of Keese, knocking their foes off their feet while they easily evade attacks.
- <DM> EFFECT: All enemies with less than 25 Power lose 5 Successes on all attacks.
- <DM> Additionally, you determine the targets of all their attacks.
- <DM> *The other three Elite Guard stand by your side... though a bit tipsy. Seems, of all the Gerudo, Ahlma's the only one that's not affected by this.
- <DM> [Elite1]: Gah, I can't maintain my stance!
- <DM> [Elite2]: I'm going for it anyways!
- <DM> *Round 2 is over!
- * DM sighs.
- <Corsava> [+5 wisdom]
- <DM> *The Keese go in for their attacks! One of them aims at you, Corsava!

- <Navi> Corsava: You rolled 61 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 330. Successes: 40.
- <DM> *Whelp, Keese flings itself at you, but despite the Wind Field, you casually dance around it. With its back turned towards you, would you like to retaliate?
- <Corsava> Siege Blast:
- <Corsava> CHARGE: 0 Actions
- <Corsava> You don’t have to charge to use this, but for each Action you charge, it drastically grows in power.
- <Corsava> Materialize a Golden Arrow, gradually pulling back on the string the longer you charge it. As it charges, the blades start to vibrate, pulling on the air around it.
- <Corsava> Once you charge for at least 3 Actions, a miniature singularity starts to form around the arrow itself.
- <Corsava> DESCRIPTION: Once you’ve reached the desired charge, launch the Golden Arrow a target. Upon firing it, the arrow vanishes into a stream of golden sparkles, then reappears at the target moments later, exploding on contact. FYI, if you charged for at least 3 Actions, the explosion will hit all enemies.
- <Corsava> Roll your Power +10 dice vs. targets' Power dice
- <Corsava> Damage: +10
- <Corsava> For each Action charged, add 10 Damage.
- <Corsava> Damage (Secondary): +2 * Actions Charged
- <Corsava> Requires at least 3 Actions charged.

- <Navi> DM: You flipped 1 coin. Result: Tails.
- <DM> *Your fellow Gerudo try to use their superior agility to spin defensively, buuut they can't quite spin on their feet when they can't properly stand in the first place. The Keese land their hits, causing your compatriots to start bleeding all over the place.
- <DM> *Round over!
- <Corsava> [starts the round by charging my blast up with 1 more action and then using the second to release my siege blast
- <Corsava> ]

- <DM> *You use an actual reroll point on yourself, and you manage to just barely land the attack!
- <Corsava> Fuck them entirely.
- <Corsava> XD
- <DM> 25 - 5 = 20 - 17 = 3 + 58 da- hold on that can't be that high for a hit-all
- <DM> .......
- <DM> I am a horrible game designer.
- <DM> WELL THEN
- <DM> *Whelp, I should note, you fire the uber Siege Blast... inside the ravine.
- <DM> *Your absolute overkill Siege Blast obliterates the three Keese... and strikes the inside of the ravine just ahead, completely leveling it, and separating you from Ahlma and co.
- * Corsava mutters to myself. "Well, we'll be able to hold the line..."
- <DM> *Congratulations, you've already blocked off the entrance to Gerudo Fortress! You'll be able to hold the line, at the cost of a few of your elite. Great job, Queen!
- <DM> *Nearby, Nabooru gives you a stern glare.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: You know hookshots don't work on rocks, right?
- <Corsava> "I did not, as it happens. You remember that I did not get a normal gerudo childhood."
- <DM> *She just... goes on to healing the other wounded Gerudo.
- <DM> [Nabooru]: I'd send the other sisters with you to retrieve Ahlma and the others, but I don't know if that's a good idea given your collateral damage...
- <Corsava> "I wouldn't. I'll climb up and get her out of there, keep them on the walls."
- <DM> *WHELP, courtesies of having caused a literal wall between you and Ahlma, you've ended the immediate battle!
- <DM> *You find your OP Wisdom bonus that's been racking up over time rapidly declining.
- * Corsava spends a little bit climbing the rock wall
- <Corsava> [suddenly remembers she can low-budget fly]
- <DM> *Correction, you just... float over the big ol' wall.
- <Corsava> "Ahlma, I can't help but notice how in position you aren't."
- <DM> *Anywho, up at the top of the wall and looking down, you see Ahlma and co. barely holding their ground against half a dozen Keese. But that's not quite all...
- <DM> *You also happen to notice the ground around them is shaking and cracking slightly. Ahlma fends off one of the Keese in time to make a remark towards you.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: There's a wall behind us all of a sudden, what was that?!
- <DM> *It seems she's not aware it was you...
- <Sephiroth> SOMEBODY SET US UP THE BOMB
- <DM> *Indeed!
- <Corsava> "Minor explosives malfunction. Regardless, we need to get you back into position."
- <DM> [Ahlma]: Wait, you found the bombs?!
- <Corsava> "I had some on hand."
- <Corsava> A somewhat limitless supply of very slow to use bombs.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: Well, if you don't mind, we're a bit stuck here- gah!
- <Corsava> "Don't question it."
- <Corsava> [fires a spirit arrow into the Keese]
- <DM> *Roll away! Do note you're in range of the Keese' Wind Field, so -5 on this.

- <DM> 2 = Gerudo
- <DM> $1d3
- <Navi> DM: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 3.
- <DM> *Vines erupt from the earth, wrapping around all of the Gerudo and immobilizing them in place.
- <DM> *A ring of spiky vines appears in a wide circle around them, extending to the river's cliffside even. From all around them, 4 Leevers emerge from the ground, showing their carnivorous spiky mouths for a moment, before submerging back into the ground.
- <DM> *Round 1 Over, enjoy the start of your ridiculous freebie +5 Wisdom, you bloody twat.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: Darn it, we're stuck!
- <Corsava> "Can you focus on hacking through the vines?"
- <DM> *The Gerudo try to swing their swords at the vines, but the Wind Field redirects their attacks towards the Keese themselves.
- <DM> Gerudo = 2
- <DM> $1d3
- <Navi> DM: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 2.
- <DM> OH MY GOD, YOUR MINIONS ARE USEFUL
- <DM> *The Elite Guard, having shown off everything that wasn't elite to this point, suddenly turn it out and land a series of slashes at the flock of Keese. With a followup swing from Ahlma, she actually reverses the Wind Field, flinging them towards the other side of the river.
- <DM> *The Wind Field is no longer affecting you all!
- <DM> *However, they're still stuck from the Leevers.

- <DM> *Your Spirit Arrow passes through the ground and strikes one of the Leevers! It loses 20 Hearts and Magic, dropping it to...
- <DM> Leever1: 10h
- <DM> *However, its immobilizing vines loosen off one of the Gerudo, breaking her free. You notice she's bleeding profusely though, and doesn't have the ability to recover it on her own. Seems she got hit by one of the Keese blades.
- <DM> *It would appear to be, just so I can differentiate em, uhh... Ka'deja's the one that took the hit.
- * Corsava chucks her a potion of healing
- <DM> *Your Red Potion shatters over Ka'deja's wounds, infecting it with more glass- I mean heals her. She's still bleeding, but at least she's not about to die.
- <DM> [Ka'deja]: Sarqso, sister!
- <DM> hmm, let's shorten that to just "Thanks", so...
- <DM> [Ka'deja]: Sarq!
- <DM> .......
- <Corsava> [nods] "welc"
- <DM> *Alrighty, it's Leever time!
- <DM> *The one you hit with a Spirit Arrow strikes you. All of a sudden, a spike strikes out from beneath your feet!
- <DM> DESCRIPTION: Leever shoots out a spike from underneath the ground in a surprise attack, puncturing someone directly.
- <DM> EFFECT: This bypasses Cover.
- <DM> Roll your Power dice vs. targets' Wisdom dice
- <DM> Damage: +5
- <DM> EFFECT: If it hits, temporarily reduce target’s Defense Dice to 0.
- <DM> DURATION: One round

- <Navi> Corsava: You rolled 55 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 318. Successes: 42.
- <DM> *Courtesies of your Spirit Vision, you were able to see the strike coming before it could surprise you. Yeah, let's go with that logic.
- <DM> *You casually side-step it. The Leevers go for attacks on the other Gerudo that are locked down...
- <DM> Gerudo = 2
- <DM> $1d3
- <Navi> DM: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 2.
- <DM> *Ahlma, inspired by your backup, takes her Greatsword and just slams it into the ground. You hear a squeal as it punctures one of the underground Leevers. She then takes her sword and swings it outwards, ripping the Leever and its vines out of the ground and flinging it into the river.
- <DM> *The other Gerudo manage to slice away at the vines, dodging the incoming spikes in time. Ahlma and co. retreat to the bottom of the wall of rubble.
- <DM> *There's a good 30 feet of height between you and the Gerudo- wait, that's it?
- <DM> *Hang on...
- <DM> *Round 2 is Over!
- <DM> *Round 3, start!
- <DM> *The Gerudo, using their, ahead, MID-AIR GERUDO JUMPS, go on and just leap up to your position.
- <DM> *The Leevers decide to continue their advance, but instead of striking at you all... they strike at the wall you guys are standing on.
- <DM> lessee, collective roll of... yeah this should be enough
- <DM> $160d10
- <Navi> DM: You rolled 160 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 922. Successes: 121.

- <DM> x4
- <DM> *Their subterranean spikes completely demolish the wall of rubble, causing the ground beneath you to, uhh... drop.
- <DM> *With your Gerudo double-jumping, you're safe from the fall damage, but you now find yourselves back on the low ground. The prequel memes within you disapproves.
- <DM> *Just to clarify, the wall behind you is still up, just partially demolished.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: Darn it, how'd these Leevers get across the gap? They shouldn't have been able to get across the river!
- <DM> [Ka'deja]: Maybe they're throwing Leevers across the river?
- <DM> *Ahlma lightly hits Ka'deja over the head.
- <Corsava> "Like a Leever Trebuchet?"
- <DM> [Ahlma]: Don't be stupid, they can't-
- <DM> *She just turns towards you. No words.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: We need to find out how they're getting those Leevers across. We can't hold a defensible position if they can just get past us at will.
- <Corsava> "Well, I'll take a look through my scope as soon as I can. The rest of you, will you be able to fend off these three?"
- <Corsava> [uses support action to look through a scope]
- <DM> [Ka'deja]: Neem.
- <DM> ...
- <DM> yeah screw the Gerudo language, I can't derive this crap
- <DM> [Ka'deja]: Aye-aye, Queen!
- <DM> *Okay, Gerudo vs. Leevers, Gerudo = 1
- <DM> $1d2
- <Navi> DM: You flipped 1 coin. Result: Tails.
- <DM> *You take a look across the river while your command aura appears to just not really work at such close proximities...
- <DM> *Through your peripheral vision of your Gerudo getting flung by vines, you see, on the other side of the river...
- <DM> *Through the dark storms, there's a quad of tall Spires. At the base of them, there's a group of large knights, covered from head to toe in armor and wielding oversized ball-and-chains. And from above that, you see what appears to be someone floating in the sky. Lightning strikes from all around, and you're given PTSD of Papa Palpaltine...
- <DM> *Said floating figure appears to be some dark mage, covered in black robes. Before you can get a good look at him, you notice him charging a large bolt of lightning. You don't see any other targets in the area, asides from maybe you, so...
- <Corsava> "Okay, so, they *are* using trebuchets to launch their forces, which means....we need to take those out..."
- <Corsava> "Also I'm about to get dunked on."
- <DM> *Sorry, Spires = Mountain Spires
- <Corsava> [end scope]\
- <DM> *You put away your Twilight Scope in time to see Ka'deja get slammed into the ground by a vine. She looks up at you, giving you a thumbs up.
- <DM> [Ka'deja]: Don't worry, we got it-
- <DM> *The vine flings her back into the air, annnd right back into the ground, shutting her up.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: What is this about dunking-
- <DM> *You all hear the crackle of thunder, and it's literally shaking the ground you're standing on.
- * Sephiroth dunks a gibdo into the river.
- <DM> *From across the river and on the other side of the mountain, you can see a flash of light.
- <DM> *Would you like to try and defend this?
- <DM> [Ahlma]: What's that flash of light from across the river?
- <Corsava> "Lightning coming this way."
- <DM> $100d10
- <Corsava> "It's going to char this whole cliffside probably."
- <Navi> DM: You rolled 100 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 579. Successes: 72.
- <Corsava> "I'd get ready to deal with tha-"
- <DM> *The target is.... pretty much all of you. The Leevers are totally getting hit by this as well.
- <DM> *Sorry, roll Wisdom to defend
- <DM> *Echoing from one cliffside to another, you hear the scream of a madman, screaming:
- <DM> [???]: UNNNNNNNNLIMITEEEEED POOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEEEEEER!
- <Corsava> Can we team Kaiten?
- <Corsava> I feel like we should try
- <DM> *Ka'deja manages to get a word in from getting bashed around.
- <DM> [Ka'deja]: Never done it, but willing to try- ahhhhhhh!
- <DM> *She's flung to the side. However, Ahlma and the other three Gerudo are available.

- <DM> *With the might of Team Gerudo spinning and winning, you welcome Papa Palpatine to the jam, pulling off a Team Kaiten! You all spin your blades in place, reflecting the oncoming lightning barrage! It strikes out at the rest of the canyon, annihilating the cliffside in front of you, also burning the Leevers to a crisp.
- <Corsava> "Wow...that needs to be a go-to defensive strategy."
- <DM> *Sadly, this is too indirect to actually strike back at Papa Palpatine, so you're not quite able to recreate the ending of Episode IX, but you kindly enjoy the quick burst of what it feels like to go full Jedi.
- <Corsava> [looks at the completely obliterated cliffside in front of us.]
- <DM> *Now that you've taken away a chunk of the cliffside, you look down below to see what appears to be some mega floral beast, with great vines entrenched into both sides of the cliff as it hovers above the river below. Across it, you can see smaller Leevers using their own vines to zip across the Mega Leever.
- <Corsava> "Well, I guess we know how they got across."
- <Corsava> "You girls ready to act like a bunch of fools? Because I'm feeling like making a bad decision."
- <DM> *Also, partway down the cliff, is your ol' Gerudo buddy Ka'deja, who's got her sword impaled into the stone cliffside. Her grip is starting to loosen, and she's a good halfway between you all and the Mega Leever below it.
- <Corsava> "You know, responsibly."
- <DM> *She looks up at you all, calling out.
- <DM> *There's a good 40 feet between you and her.
- <Corsava> [uses clawshot?]
- <DM> *You fire the Clawshot, and it latches onto her. However...
- <DM> *Roll your Clawshot attack!

- <DM> *Your Clawshot reaches her, and she grabs onto it, but before you can pull her back....
- <DM> *From across the river gap, one of those oversized Ball-and-Chains reaches out and strikes the chain of your Clawshot, snapping it in two.
- <DM> *That's a long frigin' chain!
- <Corsava> "...wow, I don't even want to think about the physics of this."

- <DM> *At the last moment, you manage to pull her around the ball-and-chain. There's a flash of a silver-haired person pushing her out of the way as well, and Ka'deja manages to just barely recover back up to you!
- <DM> *She collapses on the ground next to you, both physically and mentally exhausted.
- <DM> [Ka'deja]: Whew! Thought I was a goner!
- <Corsava> "We need to get you rested."
- <Corsava> "Which means we need to halt their advance."
- <DM> [Ahlma]: Let's regroup for now. We can't continue to stop magnitude of this firepower with only us 6.
- <DM> *Ka'deja raises a thumbs up on this idea before re-collapsing to the ground.
- * Sephiroth pokes the Ahlma and scurries off.
- <Corsava> "Well, let's put action to the words, then."
- <DM> *Your words put Ahlma and co. into action.
- <Corsava> [while we're behind cover...I'll put haste back on myself, as well as Afflicting Attack]
- <DM> *With no one immediately following behind you, you're able to retreat. Would you like to try taking another look at the bossman on the other side before regrouping proper with the rest of the Gerudo?
- <Corsava> of course
- <DM> *Ahlma stays by yourself as you take a look through.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: What is it?
- <Corsava> "The Loading Screen, probably."
- <DM> *You take another look through, getting a better look at Papa Palpatine. No Loading Screen obscures your vision, but through the constantly lightning crackles, you're able to see a clearer picture. Some floaty wizard dude, his face looks like it may have been eyegouged before, and he also looks kinda ethereal, as if someone landed Phase Out on him before...
- <Corsava> "It's a one eyed faintly ethereal spellcaster of some sort."
- <DM> [Ahlma]: ... can I look through that real fast?
- <DM> *She has a rather worried look on her face at your description.
- <Corsava> "Sure."
- <DM> *She takes a look through it, admiring it briefly for how fine its craftsmanship is, then slowly lowering it.
- <Corsava> "Well, hopefully we're enough to exhaust this one-eyed monster into submission."
- <DM> [Ahlma]: That... that can't be.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: We killed him. I know we killed him...
- <DM> *She turns towards you dramatically.
- <DM> [Ahlma]: That's Agahnim.
- <Corsava> "I don't know what that means."
- <Corsava> "Is it a race?"
- <Corsava> "Or...a cult?"
- <Corsava> "Oh! I know who that is."
- <Corsava> "He wrote this book."
- <Corsava> "I found it in a used book shop."
- <DM> *She tries to read the book, but all she can read is-
