- GENOCIDE ENCOUNTER INFO
- ALL INFORMATION IS FOR 1.001 AND MAY BE DIFFERENT IN 1.05 BUT I REALLY DOUBT IT'D BE CHANGED
- Technical bits so you can understand
- A random range i.e 15, will roll 0-15 so that there's 16 numbers in all.
- Every frame that you're moving your step counter goes up by one. 1 second for 30 steps.
- Encounter rate works like this
- Minimum steps = 80. Random steps = 40 Population = 20. Kills flag = 202
- Minimum steps is self explanatory. Random steps means the game rolls from 0-40 and adds that number onto minimum steps, If we got the worst rng we would need 120 steps. Population is going to determine the modifier for encounter rates as you kill more enemies. Kills flag is used alongside population to keep track of what your encounter rate multiplier should be.
- This example was made using the first room that you can get encounters in, the froggit whimsun room.
- If you dont room refresh, the steps required easily triples. so room refreshing is 100% necessary to be fast ANYWHERE OTHER THAN CORE.
- Core is unique in that only the random steps increase, not the base steps. meaning if you got perfect RNG you would never need to room refresh. If you dont refresh, there is a 50/120 that you lose time. According to math done a while ago, It's always worth to refresh on average. So it's ultimately a preference. Keep in mind as you go further into your murderous rampage rolling bad random steps will be more punishing.
- Many areas have scripted encounters, meaning that the first enemy in the scripted encounter must be fought before you fight the second and so on. You need to fight all scripted encounters before you can get random enemies in that room.
- Now that the weirdness is out of the way, here are the encounter rates.

- Steps: 60 base, 60 random.
- Random roll: 0-20
- 0-5 = Froggit, Whimsun
- 6-10 = Moldsmal
- 11-15 = Moldsmal, Moldsmal, Moldsmal
- 16-18 = Froggit, Froggit
- 18-20 = Moldsmal, Moldsmal

- 28% = Froggit, Whimsun.
- 23% = Moldsmal.

- Snowdrake > Icecap > Lesser Dog [you must progress past papyrus station room to fight lesser dog. otherwise it just gives you snowdrake/chilldrake or icecap at a 50/50 chance]

- Steps: "Factor" base. 30 random [Factor is dependant on room. factor is 110 in the telescope puzzle room. factor is 340 in the second bridge seed room. if you're entering from the first bridge seed room, factor is 20, The encounterer destroys itself after that. Anywhere else its 360

- 15 = Last Encounter you got
- 11-14 = Woshua
- 7-10 = Moldsmal, Moldsmal
- 4-6 = Aaron
- 0-3 = Woshua, Aaron

- Random roll: You shouldnt get these encounters on a normal geno. Just refer to scripted encounters.

- Steps: 70 base, 50 random. Outside of genocide it's 80 base, 50 random. only applies before you exhaust the scripted encounters. after you do its 240 base, 50 random
