- +nationalparksign __ Here is a clip of "Chris Hadfield" pretending to speak some Russian. Listen from 2 minutes to 3 minutes of the video. See if you can count how many potential cuts took place during speaking (definitely one - but possibly two - maybe even three). watch?v=68oNuJOFRW8
- When he speaks - they're easily pronounceable words and he does so quickly and confidently.
- However - the Russian I've heard "Chris Hadfield" speak aboard the "ISS" was much like the video you have examined. Just a couple of simple words and he had to really think about them.
- The reason this is important is because IF the "ISS" is being faked - then they could easily fake him speaking "fluent Russian". But they don't. So either their language talents are exaggerated OR it is very difficult to fake what they are doing and so they don't have all day/week to get the speech right (that kind of thing).
- Either they don't really know Russian (hence just a couple of easily spoken words) or it is too risky/difficult to do what's needed to fake it.
- If "Chris Hadfield" can speak 10-15 seconds of "confident Russian" - then why can't he also do that aboard the "ISS"?!
