Posted Act 1.

Well, this is it. I'm done with Act 1. And so now I'm starting to share it with the public. I hope you all enjoy this, I've been working pretty hard on it over the past couple of weeks. I am still VERY open to general revisions regarding how things are worded and how little character quirks work into the narrative. As far as major character actions, most of those aren't up for change; they are crucial to how the individual character is developed and how I portray them. Outside of that, suggestions for how sentences should be worded, etc. are welcome. You can send me a message on Steam or the Forums, which is generally easier than tracking me down on KSG. I go by similar names on both of those platforms (Garver and DaGarver, respectively).

Posted Act 2-1.

Gah. It's been a while. Almost a month. Combination of writer's block, being incredibly busy at school, and figuring out my direction with Act 2. But! I finally have a new scene, and I think I understand where Act 2 is headed now. The new scene is fairly short and general, open-ended, etc.

Okay, OVER a month this time. Figures. School catches up, but I'm out for Christmas now and actually have free time. And I promised at least one more scene before the end of the world, so.... here.

Dec 25: And now it's Christmas. And here's your second scene in a week. Maybe I'm actually getting into a flow now.

Feel like I need to take some time to explain myself right now.

I'm no longer inspired by Katawa Shoujo. Whatever magic was there for me is now all but gone. I have other, more important things to worry about, real-life obligations (job hunting, graduation, all that stuff), and other original projects that are sucking up my time more effectively. As a result, I'm putting this on indefinite hold. I've been stuck in editing purgatory for nigh over a month now, trying to figure out where the hell I'm going with everything plot-wise. I've written enough to have finished this damn thing two or three times over. But it's not enough.

I'm marking this one up as a failure. Sorry for everyone that was counting on me to make a Miki route a reality. But I'm very disheartened right now with where this route is going and I can't figure out a way to fix it short of a full re-write. Maybe pseudo-route writing isn't for me. I'm definitely finding it hard to get into the slice of life stuff and feel like I'm going in a single direction. It's infuriating because I don't know what's coming or anything. That doesn't bode well for me or my writing.

So I'm going on hiatus. I'm on Steam if anyone wants to find me and talk about anything. Will I come back to writing KS stuff? Who knows. That's something left to be seen. For now, though, I must bid farewell.

**Act 1: Life Expectancy**
Scenes aren't really numbered here, because I can't be bothered to actually align them with the actual VN. Scene A starts assuming that you went running with Emi and 'went for it.' This would normally put you on Emi's path (or possibly Shizune's, through Slow Recovery), but we introduce a scene when Hisao wakes up where Rika is currently in a regular appointment with Nurse. She invites Hisao to go running with Miki instead. If you accept, it locks you onto Miki's route. This isn't -quite- ideal, you'd want to have a few scenes with Miki + other girls to figure out which of the alternatives you'd want. But what fucking ever, who gives a shit.
