  44. You find the place littered with bodies. Teenagers in all manner of attire, mostly school uniforms of various colors and designs, are all dead in front of your eyes.
  45. Some of them grasping at their heads, faces frozen in expressions of pure horror.
  46. Others, horrificially mutilated in various, gruesome ways.
  47. Withholding an urge to simultaneously vomit and flee, you move through between the macabre field...

  49. A) Step toward the Light: You step toward the light and let it fully engulf you...
  50. ENDING B "HURT BUT ALIVE":
  51. Suddenly, the light disappears and you find yourself back in SHIOKAWA. Whatever eldritch world you were trapped in is now gone. Hurting but alive, you limp back home.
  52. Later on you hear on the news that the strange incidents have ceased. Was your escape the trigger to break the mysterious chain of otherworldly kidnappings? You can only hope that's how it is...
  53.
  54. B) Investigate some more: You decide to ignore the Light and check the bodies...
  55.
  56. PART D: She's Alive!
  57. ...and suddenly you see one of the corpses twitch and move! Gasping for air, a teenaged school girl opens her eyes. Her leg is badly mangled, the open wound is bleeding profusely. Suddenly, her gaze matches yours.
  58. "P-Please... h-help me... it hurts, it h-hurts so much... please!..." Looking at the state she is in, you are not sure you can help her.
  59. A) Tell her the truth
  60. You tell her the truth; she is beyond your ability to help.
  61. "No! P-please! Don't leave me here!... please!!" You turn your back and walk toward the light.
  62.
  63. ENDING D "NEVER FORGET":
  64. Deciding the poor girl to be a lost cause, you toss yourself into the Light, and escape from the horrific, alien world. You try to shake off the nightmares you saw in that place...
  65. ...but the girl's pleas for help echo in your head, even when you go to sleep. (+CURSE: TRAUMATIZED or SUICIDAL)
  66.
  67. B) Try to patch her wound (REQUIRES SEWING KIT)
  68. You open up your sewing kit, and, hoping for the best, begin suturing her wound. After a while, the bleeding stops, and you help the traumatized teenager onto her feet.
  69. Quietly, you two limp toward the light. Finally, you reach it, and step forward...
  70.
  71. ENDING A "SURVIVOR DUO":
  72. Together, you both escape the horrific Otherworld and make your way back to the relative safety of Shiokawa. You help the girl, whom you learn is called Mio-chan, to the nearest clinic, and explain that you two were hit by the truck from the stories.
  73. You're both tended to by the doctors, who take care of the most of your wounds. (+2 STAMINA, +2 REASON).
  74. After your and Mio-chan's escape from the dark, morbid world, the suddenly incidents and disappearances of random high school students abruptly end. Did your escape perhaps break the link?
  75. While you continue on with your investigations, Mio-chan disappears from Shiokawa. You learn that she has moved to live with her grandparents in the countryside, presumably to rest her strained mind and body. You wonder if you two will ever meet again...
