  1. Sometimes I think that I'm very annoying, because I think I don't know when to shut my mouth when the person I'm talking to doesn't care about what I have to say. Today was an experience that made me realize that I'm not as bad as I thought I was.
  2.
  3. I've been looking forward to see this new anime movie today (It's the 2nd year Sound! Euphonium movie, doesn't matter for the story). Earlier today I was talking a discord server, and I found out that there were 4 other people in the server who were also going to the same screening. We agreed to meet up at a pub a little bit before the movie!
  4.
  5. Now I came a little bit late, and the moment I entered the pub and started talking to these guys, this should have been my first red flag. Two of these guys (I'll call them A & B) were totally normal, chill, and fun people to hang out with. There was another person (let's name him C) who was much older, and mostly stayed quiet and was on his phone. I didn't really have any problems with him, although I wish we talked a little more. HOWEVER, person D was a handful. Person A, B, and D were drinking, and they had clearly had quite a bit. But while A & B were handling it fine, person D was 100% an annoying drunk. Or maybe that was just his regular personality? I don't know, but he had absolutely 0% volume control. Combine that with the fact that he was sporting a shirt with Dia Kurosawa (an anime girl for those who are not weeb), and it was a little awkward. Fine though, SURELY he will be fine at the theatre.
  6.
  7. So we get to the theatre fairly early, and there were a fair amount of people there. Person D starting ranting about how nice it was to see so many people interested in the series, and that was fine...until he started screaming the same thing like every 3 minutes. But you know what, the movie hasn't started yet so it'll be fine...SURELY he will shut up during the movie...
  8.
  9. Right before the movie starts he's ranting (yet again), and I try to drag him back to his seat and get him to be quieter, but in a nice way. Suddenly, a guy from the back of the theatre yells "Shut up!" and everyone starts clapping. I didn't clap with them b/c I didn't want to make him feel bad, but I kinda agreed that he needed to be quiet.
  10.
  11. So the movie starts and, to his credit, he technically was quieter but he started giving his "commentary" on the movie. About 1 minute into the movie, the guy behind us tells him to be quiet, and I also tell him to calm down. Luckily he does stop speaking (mostly) at this point, but he's so drunk that he just starts giggling at like 80% of the lines, no matter if it's supposed to be a serious or a comedic scene. I had to tap him a few times throughout the movie to tell him to calm down.
  12.
  13. Now person C is sitting to my left. While he was mostly ok, there were definitely points where tries to say some "witty" commentary line during the movie, and he was pretty loud too. Even though I would like to this I am an expert at ignoring people, these 2 people seriously made it difficult to enjoy the movie (luckily I did enjoy myself though).
  14.
  15. We were supposed to go out to a ramen place after, but I dipped out as fast as possible b/c I knew I could not deal with being with person D drinking more and being loud. I kinda felt bad for person A & B, but there was no chance I was staying beside this guy longer than I had to...
