I would like to start out tonight going over some of the structure to Se Var this season and how you may reserve your events now that they are open some of the new rules for hosts and competitions and how returning host can take part in this season.

RaynSearl: I would also like to introduce you to our Regents. We are; Autumn Wolfman Firiah HGEWonroseGray [Liz] and myself. We have down sized the number of Regents to 5 this is because the ones before you are the ones that contribute to each Fair and make them successful.

RaynSearl: We are also apointng some new Directors tonight of differnt catagories. which we will go over shortly. Please keep in mind we all like to share ideas and such ..but keep your questions til each topic is opened to discussion. this will eliminate us explaing things more than once.

RaynSearl: The sign ups for the Fair of Se Var has begun Friday November 1 at midnight EST was the roll out.
RaynSearl: f you would like to host for the winter Fairs please read through the events list
RaynSearl: Returning Hosts please keep in mind you will be able to sign up for a new event but not the one you hosted in September. Which means You all are welcome to choose another event and host.
RaynSearl: If an event goes unclaimed by next Saturday November 9 at midnight EST [ Friday night ] returning Host may then Reserve that event.
RaynSearl: You will have 5 days on the reserved list to open threads if they are not opened by then the event will return to the list unclaimed. Please look over the thread carefully.
RaynSearlRaynSearl : We are doing this because some had signed up for events and never hosted them durring the fairs of Se Kara. 5 days is more than enough time to keep an event reserved.

RaynSearl: To make this clear RULES ARE SET BY THE HOST Judges are to follow the Event Rules.
RaynSearl: ALL competitions will have a minimum of 3 judges....no event will have a single judge.
RaynSearl: This is done to insure fairness and a uniform structure to the fairs.
RaynSearl: We open a room in pc set for judges... the host judges and one fairs regent are in the room..

RaynSearl: The regent and Host are there to answer any disputes or clarify structure. They do not add to the scores.

RaynSearl: For the T 1 and Ring tournament the judges will be announced or seated so they are known but will still be pulled to a pc.
RaynSearl: Tournament OOC drama and disputes will be handled with a firm foot out of the room... It not only effects the player and the judges. It also effects the spectators. So keep in mind we will boot the drama.

RaynSearl: with the last fairs being taken over by SF we had some that thought they were in those events if we have a uniform title it will identify us over being lost in the shuffle
RaynSearl: 3. You must have your room ready to go 2 weeks prior to your event [ unless you sign up to host, with less than 2 weeks til your event ] PLEASE Do Not Edit the Room Title , [ the room itself can be just not the name ] Or it will not work for the Portals

RaynSearl: Some things to consider when choosing an event
RaynSearl: Night slots go quickly if you are hosting a Dance Event or one that might run long you should pick the latest event time slot. As we know from previous fairs the majority of the participants come during the fairs and the day of the event. It is much easier to say yes you can participate than it is to turn someone away. If you choose the last event of the night you will be able to have all participate and will not run over another events scheduled time slot.

RaynSearl: We would like to run Slave / Girl Talk, Free Mens and Free Womens Round Tables at the same time to allow all to have something to participate in that night. So hosts get together and plan for us to make this happen.

RaynSearl: We want host to run their events on their time schedules..but it is not easy to run an event and we want to eliminate some of the pressure to the host. That said we are posting these suggestions for you to consider before taking on an event that might not fit.

GirlAutumn: yes, the more that sign up for fashion/dance/tourments..the longer they run
Shayiera: We however do need to balance timing, mostly since not everyone can stay up til 2 or 3 am eastern (if that's their time zone)
RaynSearl: if a dev or sponsor spends their creds they deserve to be seen
Shayiera: perhaps just not book anything after the fashion show, for example

Shayiera: I know I for one, if working first shift, can't stay up til 3 am when I'm getting up at 5 or 6

GirlAutumn: nods,~this is where we have to work out what was popular, and split it further, so they run smoother
Eleidia: i think breaking them up more is a bit, too much, though thats just me and not really an official commitee member for the fairs..just a donator for the fashion show Xd
Shayiera: Some people do, even though I do not. I'm a second shifter for right now, so events after 315 pm eastern and before 12.30 am eastern are totally inaccessable for me

GirlAutumn: well, we had a lot of free apparel last time, and a lot of new slave apparel in it's show..we had it time to 3 hours, so we broke it up to 2 events at 1.5 hours each..we can extend it now to 2 hours each

RaynSearl: Last Fairs Shay took on the position of Dev Director with her work schedule it is in question and will be opened to another that will work closely with the Fashion Director.
RaynSearl: She has already set the pace for what would be needed for these events we would need someone to continue working on what she has set for a standard.

GirlAutumn: We need enough pulsing to be seen, but not drown people. I have a huge buddy list, and when moonlightscotty pulses, she pulses a dozen times in a row..so I don't see pulses from the gorean fairs. Others have tiny ones and we overwhelm them. So while I enjoy seeing our stuff..I think we need to be careful on how many reposts we have.
