Major battle between former CCC Chair Shannon O’Brien and State Treasurer Deb Goldberg back to court

The major battle between former CCC Chair Shannon O’Brien and State Treasurer Deb Goldberg is headed back to court for a surprise Tuesday morning hearing, per Contrarian Boston.

O’Brien is attempting to hide documents related to O’Brien’s suspension (and eventual dismissal) that may show a plot by Nurys Camargo, Shawn Collins, Cedric Sinclair and other CCC personnel to “take out” O’Brien with pretextual allegations of misconduct. Those documents are currently being kept private by Goldberg’s office because of the explosive allegations of misconduct (directed at some of Goldberg’s friends/allies) included therein.

This development occurs, of course, as lawmakers on Beacon Hill continue to hold a series of public oversight hearings into the beleaguered agency - an agency O’Brien insists she was trying to reform before being smeared and removed from her position (and, frankly, I tend to think she’s right). I also think this exact same thing happened to Steve Hoffman, at the hands of Nurys Camargo, but he decided not to fight it out.
