  1. [23:46] Quincy Tval says, ".. Hello, Tototl."
  2. [23:46] Amalka turns very wordless, now of all times. All her mana seems to have gone to her head. Figuratively, with the excess sparkling of dust.
  3. (Amalka Tval)
  4. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  5.
  6. [23:46] Sugarboy would smile and wave weakily to his daughter and son and law.
  7. (Sugarboy)
  8. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  9.
  10. [23:46] Tototl says, "Doing ah... Well? Spirits know Agartha's... Tiring."
  11. [23:46] Quincy Tval says, "I had- A lot I wanted to speak with you and Sugar about-"
  12. [23:46] Quincy Tval says, "How- Ever-"
  13. [23:46] Quincy Tval asks, "Do you both need.. Help?"
  14. [23:47] Amalka Tval says, "Wait..."
  15. [23:47] Sugarboy says, "Ahh we're goooood"
  16. [23:47] Sugarboy says, "Just blood rituals and what not"
  17. [23:47] Amalka Tval says, "I wondered why you weren't at your usual station. What is going on h--"
  18. [23:47] Sugarboy asks, "Shall we head back to my home?"
  19. [23:47] Sugarboy says, "I can cook us a good meal~"
  20. [23:47] Pyrefyn exclaims, "Hope you have time later, Sugarboy!"
  21. [23:47] Amalka Tval says, "... Sugarboy's home! "
  22. [23:47] Sugarboy says, "I'll find it for ya, pyrefyn~"
  23. [23:47] Tototl says, "It's nothing ah... Nothing new for me, but-- As my brother's said."
  24. [23:48] Amalka Tval says, "I'll cook, I'll cook. "
  25. [23:48] Quincy Tval says, "That would be nice, yes."
  26. [23:48] Amalka Tval says, "You sit down."
  27. [23:48] Quincy Tval says, "Let's head to your place, Sugarboy."
  28. [23:48] Sugarboy says, "Oh thank you, Amalka"
  29. [23:48] Sugarboy says, "I drained my magic too"
  30. [23:48] Sugarboy says, "So it'd be slow going for me"
  31. [23:48] Amalka has never cooked more than fried eggs.
  32. (Amalka Tval)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. [23:48] Quincy has never once had a wife cooked meal.
  36. (Quincy Tval)
  37. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  38.
  39. [23:49] Amalka made watery tea a few times.
  40. (Amalka Tval)
  41. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42.
  43. [23:49] Quincy enjoyed watery tea, even if he made a pot 100 times better.
  44. (Quincy Tval)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [23:49] Tototl stares at his watery tea. Well, it was better than his.
  48. (Tototl)
  49. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  50.
  51. [23:54] And once again, they found themselves in that timelessly comfortable home, it almost seemed as if untouched by time. That same floral scent ever lingering in the air, everything put back to where it belonged after they decided not to move once Obsidia was pushed out.
  52.
  53. The old man was actually quite happy that everyone who here was present, so many memories with each of them, all of them having sat at this very table for various reasons over the years. Though for now? It would hopefully be a pleasant time as they discussed whatever Quincy had on his mind.
  54.
  55. He had just enough mana left in his system to whip up a cup of tea, however, he had full faith in Amalka that she would atleast bring something somewhat edible to the table.
  56.
  57. "It's been a while, Quincy, I atleast run into Amalka frequently in Levengard, so it's actually quite.. Refreshing to see you standing in Gehenna's square, like old times." There was a dreamy softness to his voices, clearly out of it, and his blood depraved mind was clearly feeling especially sentimental in the moment.
  58.
  59. "So what did ya wanna talk about?"
  60. (Sugarboy)
  61. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  62.
  63. [00:24] Quincy walked in with everyone in tow as they went to sit down at the tables. He's happy to have everyone gathered together - Like one big gathering of those he'd spent most of his life around. He's got a smile on his face, though the lines around the edges of his mouth show off what is years and years of age.
  64.
  65. God, he's looking like Sugarboy in a way. He shakes his head and turns his head up towards Tototl and Sugar. "It's really no secret that all of us are getting older - And I'm no undead lover. I actually went to Levengard and got myself completely locked to undeath. They'll never get my soul - I'm tethered to Amalka's star first and foremost. Cleansed upon death instantly." He shakes his head, having gotten completely off track and tangent.
  66.
  67. ".. I've been fighting on Agartha since I was fifteen. I'm forty-two..? Now? Sooner or later, I won't be able to fight like I used to - And honestly? I've gotten a new outlook on life. I want to live out every last one of my days with Amalka and my son.. That's why I came here, partly to say goodbye.. But more importantly? To hand off a thing or two.. And ask you for the biggest favor I've ever asked, Tototl." Quincy reaches for a bag on the ground - And pulls what seems like a metal object from inside. It isn't visible just yet.
  68. (Quincy Tval)
  69. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  70.
  71. [00:30] It was strange to have the few gathered all in one spot. Tototl's tired brown hues flick between the three, recalling the days where things were easier. The days where he wasn't a Chieftain, the days where he was nothing but a Seer.
  72.
  73. He missed that.
  74.
  75. At Quincy's comment of the undead he lets out a quiet, tired chuckle. They still had some form of similarities. "I've... Been planning to do that myself for a time, truthfully. Spirits I believe Sugarboy has as well?" A curious glance is cast towards Sugarboy, but with a nod he'd bring himself back to the matter at hand.
  76.
  77. "As for what you plan to do ah... Well, I can't say I blame you in the slightest. Spirits, I'm nearly fifty and I've been here since I was fifteen." Another tired grin sparks across his mug. "I truly dohope that ah... You reach wherever you aim to go in one piece, peacefully Quincy. I'd do the same but..." Spirits, so much work...
  78.
  79. Those tired hues follow Quincy's hand towards the bag, squinting ever so lightly as he pulls something out. "What's this favor, old friend?"
  80. (Tototl)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [00:39] If only they could take a picture, back in the days when Sugarboy being the oldest around meant he was just in his mid thirties, and everyone around him were still budding adults. Now they all could have such a lovely discussion about the noises their bodies made creeping out of bed, or hobbling to the bathroom- okay, maybe the other three hadn't gotten that far along in their years. However, it was still very heartwarming to have them all here, despite what they all survived through over the years.
  84.
  85. A quick nod. "Aye, I've yet to talk to Euyitl about it, but I was planning on having our souls tied to the North star, that way he know our souls will always end up in the same place." Ever the romantic, he always welcomed a new way to become closer to his beloved- as if combining soul tats weren't enough.
  86.
  87. "Aye.. Sounds about right." They both recounted the years they had been here. "I was seventeen, and now I hit the big 6-O." Why the hell was he still here? Clearly Quincy and Tototl were much smarter than this geezer, talking of retirement and moving on to Greener pastures.
  88.
  89. "Aye, I wish I could bring myself to do the same, honestly. The S.S. Sweet Seaduction doesn't get much love sitting in the docks, and Euyitl and I have always talked about just setting sail and exploring the world in our golden years.. Sadly, I still got a little too much energy and sugar to spread around this rock." He'd quirk a brow at the mention of a favor, but as it was directed at Tototl, the rambling chief would quiet up as he began puring four glasses for each of them.
  90. (Sugarboy)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [00:46] Thoughts of attempting cooking for everyone... had instantly had left her head, like the steam of the pot, curling out through the windows.
  94.
  95. Amalka has crossed this simple threshold, so many times. Much, much tea has been drained, but more than that: Amalka was surrounded in old memories. She felt as though travelling through time, because not a single piece was moved, amidst how everything else changed. She herself had gone through three different homes at this point in time.
  96.
  97. Sitting here, or standing by the hallway: Amalka has faced even the vengeance of Chotion, and the mutilation of Sugarboy. She would used to drop letters off, or come in to ask many, many questions. Here, this was the first time Amalka had treated Quincy, even before Sugarboy and he faced off in the square.
  98.
  99. As someone who never properly learned (or cared) for proper sitting, Amalka leans heavily on the tea table, arms weaved around the cups. She has not much to say yet, when Quincy looked... surprisingly sincere, in asking Tototl for the 'biggest favor.'
  100.
  101. Her face seemed eerily still, when on the conversation of her star. "That's right," she takes a deep inhale with a hitch, "It wasn't even-- our life's essence to be bound, but the soul itself. My star's magic passes on, even now...
  102.
  103. and forever."
  104.
  105. A few seconds pass, as Amalka held herself up on that note. Pale Amalka turns pink.
  106.
  107. "...And, yes. I know what continent to not go to, when there's little-to-no natural resources. Opposite of Agartha really, my own shitty continent. Aah, Sugarboy really is more diligent than I am, as both a teacher and medic. He won't even take a break before me!" She laughs with more wild abandon.
  108. (Amalka Tval)
  109. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  110.
  111. [01:00] Quincy offers a smile when everyone adds in their own two cents. Eventually, the metallic object is pulled out of the back and shown towards Tototl at first. "This is my set of Arcanium armor - For the legs and below the waist. I had it forged several years ago by Shizuko before she ended up leaving the continent or going dark. One or the other - I imagine with Salvas dead, she wants nothing to do with this place." He'd start to unwrap what looks like a normal set of armored leggings before the azure shine of Arcanium catches the glint of the laterns above.
  112.
  113. ".. Lightweight, and more durable than anything bar Nyeshk. I'd like you to have them, since where I'm headed - I won't be needing the armor, or the staff." The trident on his back is missing. His favorite tool of war, what he'd used for more than two and a half decades now. "Will you accept, Tototl?"
  114.
  115. The armor is wrapped up once more like a pair of jeans and passed to the man. Just folding like that is legendary on its own. He looks up towards Sugarboy and laughs. "You should look into retiring soon, friend. No one likes a piss poor ending. I promised the whole wide world I'd make it - I wouldn't be another grave to be forgotten. I've won in that regard.."
  116.
  117. He lifts up once more and turns to Tototl.
  118.
  119. "... But there's something more. If I'm headed away from war and combat, I won't need armor. I won't need my weapon. But there's something more I need removed. I won't need Ghede, either.
  120.
  121.
  122. Can you cut the bind between us? And send him on his way across the spirit realm?"
  123. (Quincy Tval)
  124. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  125.
  126. [01:07] "SALVAS IS FUCKING DEAD!?" It's a break in the Chieftain's character, a mixture of confusion and outright anger rolling off his form. Not looking for any form of answer he'd just... Leave that comment there. One of his many enemies, dead, before he could even make a strike.
  127.
  128. Tototl has to take a moment to actually settle back in. Drawing in raspy breaths he'd cough and sputter - Spirits, he really shouldn't be doing this at this hour.
  129.
  130. "I'll... I'll accept the armor, yes." It'd complete his set, even, and once it's carefully taken between his hands he'd look at it with a saddened gaze. Was this really going to be his life?
  131.
  132. "As for... Retirement, yes, I've been mulling on it for a long time now. Honestly it may be sooner than later." He'd flash a smile towards Quincy, letting the armor rest upon the table for the time being.
  133.
  134. "As for... Ghede. I believe? I can do that. It ah... Honestly I'd need a night's rest as to not faint from it however."
  135. (Tototl)
  136. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  137.
  138. [01:11] Amalka Tval says, "*can't help but smile. Truly, Salvas was one of the few that had a full grudge from Amalka, between the pain of Sugarboy and Kamui. Her neck, and only her neck would crane toward Tototl with an aside. "Remember the 'vampire' that wandered into Tecochitlan, Taiga Rowan? He-- did it. During Gehenna's raid on Dawn, he drew Salvas out for a... duel. I guess not all duels are bad."* "
  139. [01:14] Amalka can't help but smile. During Gehenna's raid on Dawn, he drew Salvas out for a... duel, or confrontation. I guess not all duels are so bad."
  140.
  141. The worse thing was seeing Taiga's face.
  142.
  143. His fate was not in her hands, but Amalka will have to leave her friend, so she would still worry.
  144. (Amalka Tval)
  145. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  146.
  147. [01:15] Tototl says, "... Spirits he actually killed his father. Huh."
  148. [01:15] Quincy Tval says, "I"
  149. [01:15] Quincy Tval says, "I'd weep tears, but the bastard hurt my wife."
  150. [01:15] Quincy Tval says, "I'm glad he's gone down whatever insufferable hell vampires have to live through."
  151. [01:15] Amalka Tval says, "Just some... bruises."
  152. [01:15] Tototl says, "Don't get me wrong, I hate the man, but I'm sad I wasn't the one to ah... Well, do it."
  153. [01:16] Quincy Tval says, "I'd say it's poetic the way he went-"
  154. [01:16] Quincy Tval says, ".. Also that scream was loud-"
  155. [01:16] Quincy Tval says, "You probably woke someone-"
  156. [01:16] Amalka Tval says, "Woke Euyitl again. I have a few times."
  157. [01:17] Amalka Tval says, "... I saw through the telescope, once."
  158. [01:17] Amalka Tval says, "Everyone is together, in the band of souls. Even the worst souls would be."
  159. [01:17] Amalka Tval says, "Cleansed, fire. "
  160. [01:17] Quincy Tval says, "I know that - Ah - But there's another part of us that leaves when we die."
  161. [01:17] Amalka Tval says, "Yeah... for the lifestream."
  162. [01:18] Quincy Tval says, "The soul goes to a new host in the lifestream, I think it's the spirit that gets a place somewhere in the many realms."
  163. [01:18] Quincy Tval says, "Vampires don't get that last part."
  164. [01:18] Amalka Tval asks, "But then-- what about the dhampirs?"
  165. [01:18] Quincy Tval says, "Human vampires. They're the best of both worlds, I imagine."
  166. [01:19] Amalka feels her voice crack. Learning this was more distressing than she imagined. Having no place to belong, anymore.
  167. (Amalka Tval)
  168. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  169.
  170. [01:19] His head would turn as Amalka finally spoke up, his smile finding it's way of growing even wider than it was. Speaking of not returning to her home continent. "Ah, well if you're looking for places to visit, I could give you the coordinates to my home island.. It's under water now, just the tip of a mountain poking above the waves. But! if you can get over that, the town square is quite lovely during the day, sun shining through the water, fish swimming by as if they were birds. It's quite nice, really." He'd suggest with a shrug as Quincy shared his wishes.
  171.
  172. Arcanium was quite the gift, especially one so sentimental to the retiring warrior. However, even if he didn't recognize the name Quincy uttered, he knew who he spoke of, that dark spirit that lingered around him.
  173.
  174. Though Tototl was quite surprised, Sugarboy's reaction was much more Laissez Faire, he was old, having lost many friends. And while he was still pretty pissed about his detainment, he couldn't really hold hate for very long, especially with Shizuko's misfortune. Salvas was dead, and there was no need to dwell on those emotions of the past.
  175.
  176. "Mmm, maybe not a full retirement.. But I will be stepping down as Chieftain soon.. Things are heating up once again, and I know I'm not gonna have the energy for it.. Though I would like to go hunting in Dawn, atleast once before I take my armor off for good."
  177. (Sugarboy)
  178. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  179.
  180. [01:23] Amalka looks at Sugarboy like he is a crazy old man. His town is underwater; is he a Sirenian? And calling for one last fight before retiring just smells like impeding doom.
  181. (Amalka Tval)
  182. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  183.
  184. [01:28] Quincy nods his head and slowly begins to pull up from the chair. "I'll stick around Gehenna for a while, then. At least until tomorrow and we can pull the spirit from my body.. Finally, rest within my own head as a single individual." He laughs, having thoroughly enjoyed the thought for many a time now.
  185.
  186. He'd stretch and grin, "I spent some forty-thousand on a cruiser. I'll be setting sail first, getting a home and a settle in some nice community far out - Then I'll come back for Amalka or Felix when they're ready to go as well. But I think it's high time I put down the lightning and turned my eyes to rest and family." He downs the last of his watery-tea, a true Amalka delicacy, and starts to head to the door.
  187.
  188. "I'll be awake somewhat early - Will you, Tototl?"
  189. (Quincy Tval)
  190. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  191.
  192. [01:37] Tototl slowly nods. One final spirit-ritual for the Tvals. He could handle that in the morning. Cruxati's Chieftain begins to rise from the cushion, taking the Arcanium pants and draping it over his arm.
  193.
  194. "Spirits though... I truly do hope I can take Kil off this Spirit-forsaken rock soon. I've a feeling there's going to be a blade on it soon."
  195.
  196. He'd wave a dismissive hand at that notion. "But... Yes, I'll be up early and well rested for it. For now though? I need rest." Flashing one last tired grin he'd begin to make his way out.
  197.
  198. "Spirits protect the lot of you."
  199. (Tototl)
