1. How it starts: Aran opens a pull to remove a perfectly functional cosmetic item, everyone but Erro says it's stupid and pointless, Giacom merges it. It's against rules to merge your own code, but as they say, one's aboose, two's legit, and three's a conspiracy, or some shit like that, I don't know. Honestly? Fuck it, I'm mad that people who don't code are being treated as irrelevant, easily lied-to plebswhose opinions don't matter and who aren't worthy of getting a straight answer.
2.
3.
All I try to do is keep the code clean, as volunteered to, I sometimes add things now and again but my primary concern is to make sure the code doesn't get more fucked than it currently is. I'm sorry I don't want horribly coded gimmicks fucking up the code, I do try to help people get their snowflake features in by undoing the snowflake but there is only so much I can help with. Now people trying to add items which do not make sense is also something I try to keep out of the game, because I don't this to be the next hat simulator that has weird fetishy items.
4.
5. Also before someone says the obvious, if we let the code get fucked it will be increasingly difficult to add ANYTHING, so please keep it in mind. We are open source so we should at least try to have the code be a little bit acceptable, even if it is already horrible as it is now.
6.
7. So there, that is why.
8.
9. Calls Ballgags and the proposed Maid outfit Snowflake Code.
10.
11.
I don't see how adding a new outfit or muzzle resprite (which was already in the game) ruins the code. They both use already existing functions (they're literally just cosmetic items).
12. That doesn't really fuck up the code as far as I know.
13. My argument from the start was that you shouldn't be denying things which are well-coded. If something has awful code and the person who made it won't fix it, don't add it. If it's something with OK code that multiple people want, (and isn't OP or something) there isn't a good reason to not add it IMO.
14.
15. Miggles points out this isn't the case.
16.
17.
Read my post again.
18.
19.
What?
20.
21. He's absolutely right.
22.
23. Balls gags are a child of muzzles (or if they aren't they should be).
24. Maid costumes again were either going to be a child of jumpsuits or exosuits
25.
26.
27. There is literally zero snowflake with those two items, only changing the face variables and adding some sprites in the existing frame work.
28. ----(Post truncated for purposes of the admincomplaint)----
29.
30. Malkevin goes into detail.
31.
32.
No one reads my posts..
33.
34.
Probably because they're about as relevant to the discussion at hand as bananas
35.
36.
This issue is why coders don't bother talking to you. If you guys fought for stuff that mattered, stuff you actually cared about, and not every - single - little - thing, then coders would likely be more willing to pay attention to what people like and dislike. As it stands, there is a default to opposition to any sort of change, making opposition not actually indicative of people's opinion.
37.
38. You can't oppose every single thing and expect people to give a shit. You're the boy who cried Hate.
39.
40. Errorage accuses this of being random backlash, not a community that has reacted with overwhelming positivity to TONNES of new features, including fire, augemntation, chat bubbles (once the bugs were out, especially the cult ones), Vox, Stun prods, the gulag, etc., reacted poorly to being treated like idiots and having a joke item removed because cooties. The thread goes on a bit more, pointing out that literally nobody's ever gotten bad rep over the ballgag, and Erro locks the thread.
41.
42. Backed up to http://pastebin.com/4FR6AjLU in case Erro violates his rule about not closing complaints about him by himself.
