The Wizard of _____ or The ____ Wizard

This is the tale of a fledgling Wizard, a young boy or girl who has the potential for great magical powers, yet is still inexperienced and hasn't decided on what sort of wizard they want to be.
In the land of Daiya, those who use magic often take an element to specialize in. In order to decide on which element is the right choice for each wizard-in-training, the Grand Sages (wizards who are the masters of each element) created the Prism Trial: a challenge that requires the wizard to experiment with each element, giving them a first hand experience and a better ability to choose the one they wish to master.
With each Element having its own powers and abilities, the Grand Sages and wizards using them follow an Elemental Philosophy on both the use of the magic, but also general attitudes about life itself.
Fire Wizards are hot blooded and passionate, but can come off as rude, they like to show off.
Water Wizards are introspective, and quiet, but are quite negative and depressed.
Earth Wizards are stoic and hardworking but are simple minded.
Air Wizards are eccentric and talk long and fast, but are seen as annoying.
Electric Wizards are confident, value power over all else, and don't mince words when it comes to how they feel.
Ice Wizards are cold (duh), calculated, and highly meticulous. They don't show much emotion.
Nature Wizards love peace and the earth, but are often bad when it comes to caring about themselves/other people.
Metal/Tech Wizards are masters of being efficient, good at trading, but are often a tad greedy.
