- I care.
- 13:42 RoanGrow
- I just loves playing with colors.
- RoanGrow
- Depends. I know Quebec pays. I think Ontario doesnt. You get loans, not grants, unless yer gifted or 'special'
- RoanGrow
- Spend long enough time on the dole, and they might pay for it.
- BakrCree
- RoanGrow: What grade would you give to global society in 2022?
- aborazmeh has left IRC (Quit: Bye!)
- RoanGrow
- BakrCree : In Canada or in Quebec ?
- BakrCree
- "global society"
- RoanGrow
- Thats... Earth ?
- BakrCree
- Mmmhmm.
- RoanGrow
- I mean. Grading comparatively to what ? Im not aware of another planet with sentience in this galaxy.
- BakrCree
- Have there ever been any "global societies" in spacetime?
- RoanGrow
- Exactly.
- BakrCree
- Okay.
- BakrCree
- Well, I went ahead and put you on block.
- harelip
- Of course. They are already here.
- BakrCree
- Computing block time.
- BakrCree
- Yes, there have been other "global societies" in spacetime.
- BakrCree
- Earth in 2021.
- BakrCree
- Earth in 2020.
- BakrCree
- Earth in 1945.
- BakrCree
- Earth in 1888.
- BakrCree
- Et cetera.
- BakrCree
- Let's go ahead and put you on block for the rest of the year.
- BakrCree
- Notice, too, his usage of "on the dole".
- BakrCree
- In 2022, when global society is in utter collapse due to accumulation of wealth in a few elites, he's worried about 1970s right-wing narratives about people "on the dole".
- BakrCree
- Which is false consciousness programmed into him by global elites that will murder him and his entire family for some more money.
- harelip
- Right-wingers are on the corporate welfare dole, though.
- harelip
- Sesame Street will filled with puppets on the dole.
- BakrCree
- I would probably disagree with that phrasing.
- harelip
- will=is
- BakrCree
- Welfare in this country is concentrated in corporations -- that's certainly true.
- BakrCree
- But I think corporations can largely be thought of as independent of the traditional left-right model, certainly as it's applied in common political analysis.

- BakrCree
- For example, both parties are legitimacy creation machines for many of the same corporations.
- raj-
- it gives me great pleasure to know that this cesspool is slowly dying
- raj-
- that is all

- BakrCree
- You could argue, more abstractly, that the corporate structure is essentially right-wing, though, with which I'd likely agree.
- harelip
- One person's misery is another person's jouissance.
- BakrCree
- That's probably true.
- harelip
- Corporations rely on the myth of efficiency.
- BakrCree
- Agreed.
- BakrCree
- It might be true that corporations are pretty efficient in a local context over a constrained set of variables.
- harelip
- Efficiency just means laying off workers to keep profits high.
- BakrCree
- Corporate control of the media then restricts analysis to those local contexts with that constrained set of variables.
- BakrCree
- Repeat 15000 times.
- harelip
- Fare the well.
- BakrCree
- Corporations are one of the lest efficient structures ever designed, given a long-term, global context over all variables (commonly referenced in different analysis emerging from various, major cultures, religions, and philosophies).
- harelip
- Old bean.
- evermindN
- corporation are artificial dissipation networks, turning entropy into envy
- BakrCree
- Using a dualistic cosmology, I think we can generally say that 'good' is optimization over the non-local, and 'evil' is optimization over the local.
- harelip
- Entropy into Envy would be a good band name.
- BakrCree
- Evolution, then, would generally be an 'evil' optimization program, with some 'good' aspects, especially in diverse ecological networks with metabolically linked organisms, or in structures like the brain that allow simulation and prediction of the universe, i.e. strictly non-local.
- 13:59 BakrCree
- In this context, the corporation is an essentially evil organization, as it was strictly built in law, economics, and culture to optimize over the local: a targeted industry for a targeted individual -- initially king -- or targeted individuals -- shareholders in the 'public' formulation -- while being unaware of other species, long timeframes, ecological disruption, etc.
