DiscoDude: ---BEGIN SESSION---
DiscoDude: Session logging commenced
GM: Drama has been had, ladies and gentlemen! It's a good night's rest before alarm clocks go off, which chefs mean to take as needing to head out to the shuttle again. As Rachelle and Norstar leave their cabin, Gwystan takes that as his cue to enter in past them, step up onto his bed, and face-plant into his pillow. "Have fun..."
Reality Glitch: ((Gwystan's not participating in the final cook-off?))
GM: Cocoa walks up to Dovelia with her harpoon revolver. "Wonder what we'll need these for, huh sis?"
Ratatoskr, you notice that the Dr.'s camp station is vacant and mostly packed up as you're ushered on.
GM: (Gwystan and Mimi failed to serve a dish, and Carmine mangled hers. All three of them are benched. Not that we were focusing on them to begin with.)
GM: (Any reactions before we continue?)
Reality Glitch: ((Not really.))
Dovelia: is startled by Cocoa's use of the word "sis." It's been a long time since anyone's called her that.
Dovelia: "Judging from the nature of the last round...I imagine we have bigger game to contend with this time." She thinks again of Rachelle's massive harpoon cannon. "Much bigger."
GM: Cocoa looks wide-eyed at Dovelia. "Bigger?! U-uh, okay!"
Reality Glitch: ((Is there a house chef this time?))
GM: (You're about to find out.)
GM: (Timeskip to arrival, <@&492818331418755092>?)
Reality Glitch: ((Sure.))
Dovelia: (yeah)
Ratatoskr: ((Ah, sure))
GM: The shuttle flies over several minutes of open ocean before engaging a circling descent onto a rather large boat.
Dovelia: "Curious. Is the boat meant to take us to our actual destination? Or...?"
Reality Glitch: "I'm more put off by how they manage to get the water to stay land-shaped."
Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr is oddly silent, both heads try not to look at the harpoons, instead deciding to look at the water....then he speaks. "It feels as if we were going to the oni's den..."
GM: There's four cooking stations positioned around the entire deck (bow, stern, port, and starboard), with a locked set of stairs leading below central arena where some crew or systems of some kind is maintaining the course. In the backdrop is... what appears to be a half-mile wide loop-de-loop of ocean, which the chairwoman is gazing out at when you're let off the shuttle.
Reality Glitch: Rachelle manages to have the gall to ask the Chairwoman directly, "How do they get the sea to stay like that?"
GM: "Welcome, chefs," she says as the shuttle flies off. "There- ..." She pauses at the question. "They... don't. That's just how it is. A natural phenomenon involving magnetic alloys in the water, I'm told." She shakes her head. "Anyways, there have been quite a few rumors about this particular area. Of a rather dangerous creature, which - after finding substantiated proof - the Galactic Republic has agreed to label as a danger both to visitors and the ecosystem. That is why you chefs have been given... an exceptional opportunity." The ship starts to make its course into the base of this aquatic loop.
Reality Glitch: "Oh no...."
Ratatoskr: "...I was right, the demon's den..." Ratatoskr sighs.
GM: "Due to the nature of this challenge, you need not face any house chefs this time. 12 exchange units in total create 2 dishes, but only after hunting and slaying..." The ship makes a slight lurch as it settles parallel to the current to start moving against it. "The infamous-"
VVVVVVVVRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMRRRRRRRRWWWWW!!!
A giant fin breaks the surface nearest to the Port Cooking Station, followed by a massive yellow back- wait, no, it's laden with... what appears to be a combination of gold, jewelry, silverware, and other metal scraps.
"The current record holder for biggest bullion beluga ever recorded, Nasby Pike!"
GM: She opens the belowdeck hatch. "Your time starts now!" And she closes it behind her.
Reality Glitch: "Uuhhhh........"
GM: Final Cook-Off: Formidable Ingredient; Defeat Nasby Pike!
Theme: https://youtu.be/e-SfA2o4kRY
Requirements: Chefs have 12 exchanges to defeat and collect the legendary Bullion Beluga “Nasby Pike,” and create 2 courses with it.
Objective: As the hunting of Nasby Pike is an integral part of the competition, a category of judging will be dedicated to how many shifts of stress a chef personally inflicted against the creature, including an extra point for dealing the killing blow. If the natural flavor of at least one Nasby ingredient aspect in the chef's possession isn't present in either dish, that chef gets hit with the Where's Nasby? {!} aspect with one free invoke against them for both dishes.

GM: The Shuttle
Heavily Tinted Glass | Primitive Locks
Complete with plush satin furniture, mood lighting, and a fully stocked minifridge, the chefs travel in style between challenges! When not in use by the chefs, this is where the chefs await their cue to appear at their seats partway into the competition, and no chefs are allowed in during then!
The Ring of Stations
Every Appliance and Tool You’ll Need | Sturdy Counters
The outer deck is divided into four zones - Port, Bow, Starboard, and Stern. Each zone has a functional cooking station designed to support 3 chefs. Each station is equipped with every possible cooking vessel (pots, pans, baking sheets, trays), utensil (mallets, knives, melon ballers) and appliance (stoves, ovens, deep fryers, absolute-zero blast chillers, ice-cream machines), all supplied by Xegolite Corporation.
Central Arena
Exposed From All Sides | Away From Your Dishes
The center zone is in the middle of the deck and contains a short platform. Upon it are the judges’ table and a podium for the announcer, Dr. Durian. The center also contains the Lardertron, a small telepad that can dispense most any raw ingredient or cooking component a cook would need: from soup stock to raw vegetables to Argontian cooking wine.
GM: (Any questions before we begin, <@&492818331418755092>?)
Dovelia: (mb I was afk getting food)
Ratatoskr: (>Monster Hunter OST)
(MAMA MIA IM SCARED.)
Reality Glitch: ((Is each station a separate zone, or are they all separate?))
Dovelia: (-mashup of Leviathan's theme and Bismarck's theme starts playing-)
GM: (Each station is a separate, but connected zone - that's how the cooking stations usually work.)
Dovelia: "What a majestic creature," Dovelia says, an odd wistfulness in her voice. "Rather a shame we're expected to slay it. Alas." She checks her harpoon pistol and adjusts her mechanical arm. "I suppose it's just another contract."
Reality Glitch: ((I haven't given Rachelle a fourth stunt and I feel like boosting her free movement would be ideal.))
Reality Glitch: ((But I don't want it to be useless in later episodes.))
GM: (That doesn't come until after this episode is over.)
Reality Glitch: ((Ohh.... Even the approach bump and aspect change?))
Ratatoskr: "...oh for the emperor's sake." Ratatoskr is...shocked, shocked? Shocked.
GM: (The aspect change came early because it made sense in the story.)
GM: (<@&492818331418755092>, let me know when you're ready to begin.)
Reality Glitch: ((Ready.))
Dovelia: "Cocoa, you don't have to engage if you don't feel you're up to it. Let the trained professional handle things." She strikes a combat pose. (Ready!)
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>?)
Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr takes a deep breath, push thoughts aside...focus on the hunt...the hunt. "Argh." Nope, Can't focus, the size of that lad is awe-inspiring.
Ratatoskr: (ready)
GM: - EXCHANGE 1/12 -
GM: Cocoa doesn't listen; she runs through Port Station and does a yelling leap over the edge at Nasby! (Attempting to create an Aggressive advantage in the form of On Its Back [!].)
GM: !f 2 (Aggressive)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 2 [4dF = [+][ ][ ][-]]
Reality Glitch: ((We need Nasby's stats first.))
GM: (It's at the bottom of the ingredient doc I linked.)
GM: (Also, for the record, Nasby starts closest to Port this exchange.)
Dovelia: stares at Cocoa leaping into action.
Reality Glitch: ((I saw that as immediately after posting and now I feel stupid for not looking sooner.))
GM: !f 2 (Swimming)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 2 [4dF = [+][-][ ][ ]]
GM: And she barely holds on! But she is on! (It's only gonna be a boost for her.)
GM: Norstar is feeling herself get pulled towards Port by some force! As she literally slides in that direction - knives, ladles, metal jars, Lithia's jewelry, anything metal is just flying out of the stations and off the boat, only to stick to Nasby's hide! "MmmmmmmMMMMM I NEED TO THINK ABOUT THIS!" Norstar attempts to get a good read on Nasby's movements!
GM: !f 3 (Clever)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 5 [4dF = [ ][+][ ][+]]
GM: !f (Being Unpredictable?)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF for -3 [4dF = [-][-][ ][-]]
Reality Glitch: ((You didn't say which action was taken that time.))
GM: (It's Create an Advantage.)
Reality Glitch: Rachelle scrambles for her harpoon-cannon and readies to fire with Steady Aim.
Reality Glitch: !f 2 (Carefully Create an Advantage against Average (+1) passive opposition.)
DiscoDude: <@Reality Glitch> rolled 4dF+2 for 0 [4dF = [+][-][-][-]]
GM: And Nasby is no match for Norstar, as she successfully draws up a Beluga Swimming Algorithm [!!] to predict its movements!
Reality Glitch: ((Tempted to invoke Mother of Monsters for a "been there; done that" vibe.))
GM: (Not sure that applies to lining up a shot.)
Dovelia: (oh my god, do I need to worry about my arm)
GM: (I might end up compelling that against you. XD)
Reality Glitch: ((Similar to Norstar's: it's understanding of how they'll react informing her aim.))
GM: (Still don't think it applies to predicting the movements of a giant fish.)
Reality Glitch: ((More just monsters/aliens in general.))
GM: (Hm... Hm....... Feels like a stretch to say that she understands all monsters because of the wording of the aspect...)
Reality Glitch: ((Very well.))
Reality Glitch: ((I feel like I made a sub-optimal character, in that her aspects almost never come into play.))
GM: (No use crying about that right now. Now play. <@!Dovelia>, <@!Ratatoskr>, still waiting on you.)
Reality Glitch: Unfortunately, Rachelle Doesn't Know What They're Doing, and all the time in the galaxy may not be enough to help her.
Dovelia: stares, mouth agape, at Cocoa's death-defying hijinks and Norstar nearly getting dragged in. "That devil-fiend's magnetic," she mutters. "What will nature think of next." Taking careful aim, she attempts to use her harpoon gun as a grappling hook to join Cocoa on the monster's back.
Dovelia: (will this be a Create Advantage or just an overcome?)
Dovelia: (like, does the monster's back count as an actual zone)
GM: (It doesn't. It's currently considered to be in the Port Station zone, for attack purposes.)
Dovelia: (so, Create Advantage it is then)
Dovelia: !f 3 (Careful)
DiscoDude: <@Dovelia> rolled 4dF+3 for 4 [4dF = [-][+][ ][+]]
GM: (BTW, the fact that you also have a harpoon gun is because it's built into your arm, right?)
GM: !f 2 (Swimming)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 1 [4dF = [ ][ ][-][ ]]
Dovelia: (oh SHIT I forgot only the winners got one)
Dovelia: (well hell, let's say she's got a grappling hook in her arm)
Dovelia: (i can get away with that, right, GM?)
GM: (Yeah. SWS!)
Dovelia: "COCOA!" Dovelia yells. "I'M COMING FOR YOU! DON'T PANIC!"
Reality Glitch: ((She's even more protective of Cocoa than of Rachelle all of a sudden.))
Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr dives for the nearest station, Shit, shit SHIT! He scrambles for ANYTHING in the kitchen that could be useful (or at least as relatively useful) to a freaking HARPOON. (Rolling Clever to Create an Advantage?)
GM: (Which station BTW? (Knowing the potential answer to this is why I held off on going for Greto.))
Ratatoskr: ((...god, let me scroll up.))
GM: (Nasby is at Port (left), and that's the only distinguishing feature.)
Ratatoskr: ((Well, assuming all the stations are close to the starting point...Starboard? i need to check my ship locations again))
GM: (Starboard is to the right. Bow is front, Stern is back.)
Ratatoskr: ((RIIGHT, I'll go for the Starboard, Port is left then?))
GM: (Yes. Roll it!)
Ratatoskr: !F 1
DiscoDude: <@Ratatoskr> rolled 4dF+1 for 2 [4dF = [ ][+][ ][ ]]
GM: (Vs. the +1 passive opposition on first prep, right?)
Ratatoskr: (I think so.)
Dovelia: (bow, stern, starboard, port = north, south, east, west)
Dovelia: (more or less)
Ratatoskr: ((Aaaahhhhh))
Dovelia: (just imagine the ship pointed north and it makes sense)
GM: Greto moves to Stern Station. "Well then," he whispers, "since nobody is using this station at the moment, I suppose there's nobody to stop me from..."
GM: !f 3 (Sneaky vs. +2 passive sabotage opposition)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+3 for 1 [4dF = [-][ ][ ][-]]
Ratatoskr: ((Right so uh...Do i name an aspect, or do you?))
GM: (You do. I'll name Greto's once I... Hm... If I invoke Sturdy Countertops due that being what he's making a mess on... And they need to be sturdy for it to work...)
GM: He notices Buzel edging his way over Stern-ways, away from the big scary fish. "Ah- Chef Hivry. You probably don't want to use this station."
"And why is that?"
Greto only smiles as he takes out a plastic stove lighter and ignites the oil he spread everywhere. "Currently, it's subject to a severe case of Flaming Countertops [!]. Not great for chefs wanting to cook anytime soon."
"I... see."
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>, name your aspect.)
Ratatoskr: (Right, just needed to find a reference for what im trying to describe)
GM: (Now, since nobody outright attacked it this turn... I think it will try to create an advantage of its own.)
GM: As Nasby falls back in the direction of Stern Station, it makes a subtle turn in order to slam the aft bulkhead of the boat!
GM: !f 2 (Swimming vs. +2)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 0 [4dF = [-][-][-][+]]
Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr eventually comes up with a ranged weapon of sorts, a sturdy ingredient, alongside an elastic twine to make a [Knife Slingshot]...Oh god, he is using knives as ammo.
GM: ... And it misses due to the boat suddenly adjusting its own course! It's Thrown Off Balance {!} now!
GM: (Gonna say that won't fly, <@!Ratatoskr>; Nasby's third stunt says that aspects involving small metal things can't be created or invoked while it's alive.)
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>?)
Ratatoskr: (...SHHHIIIT)
Ratatoskr: (Just uh, Replace Knives with spicy fruit?)
GM: (How about Exploding Fruit Slingshot [!]?)
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>?)
Ratatoskr: (YEah)
GM: (Nice.)
GM: - EXCHANGE 2/12 -
GM: (Nasby is at Stern Station now, for the record.)
GM: (I think we can assume that it took Dovelia and Cocoa with it.)
Dovelia: (i'm fine with that XD)
Reality Glitch: ((I feel something as big as Nasby really constitutes them being their own zone. Also thought they'd have approaches, since they are much more significant narratively and already have a full set of character stats otherwise.))
Reality Glitch: Rachelle continues to try and get a bead on the giant goober.
GM: (I toyed with his back being a zone, but that ended up being too complicated. I gave it skills like a mook because it was an ingredient, and I can't really edit that right now.)
Reality Glitch: !f 2 (Carefully Create an Advantage against Average (+1) passive opposition due to I'll Just be Way Back Here)
DiscoDude: <@Reality Glitch> rolled 4dF+2 for 5 [4dF = [+][ ][+][+]]
Dovelia: "Cocoa! Are you mad? This creature is a powerful predator! And evidently quite a proficient thief to boot!" She looks from Cocoa to the creature's hide. Are there any chinks in its armor she can exploit? Even a creature this size might have a weak point...
Dovelia: (can i roll careful again to examine the beast's exterior?)
GM: (Sure!)
Reality Glitch: ((Didn't think it'd be that complicated; being on the beast is a zone, that's it. The only real complication is that they change which ship zone they are adjacent to, which you're already emulating anyway.))
Dovelia: !f 3 (Careful)
DiscoDude: <@Dovelia> rolled 4dF+3 for 3 [4dF = [-][+][ ][ ]]
Dovelia: (good enough to find a weak point?)
GM: (Exactly; that would have been supremely frustrating to anyone who didn't have prior knowledge of it moving about, since they need to move twice from the start to get onto it.)
Reality Glitch: ((Also conveys that they'll still be overboard once the fight's over, which see,s like an important fact to consider.))
GM: (I have a plan for that last point.)
Reality Glitch: ((That's not the same thing as being complex.))
GM: (It's both.)
GM: (Now can we please stop arguing about game design during the freaking game?)
Reality Glitch: ((Again: I'm still not seeing how this is any more complex than having each station be a separate zone in any other cook-off.))
Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr, now with his crafted weapon, tries to take aim...wait, did the creature...oh god it moves. (Can i actually attack it from the Starboard?)
GM: (<@!Dovelia>, yeah, I'll grant you +2 passive opposition since there's nothing really for Nasby to actively do.)
Dovelia: (cool. what does she find?)
Reality Glitch: Rachelle finally manages to take Steady Aim[!!] at Nasby.
GM: (You decide! What was she looking for?)
Dovelia: (a vulnerable spot! XD)
GM: (Is that the aspect name?)
Dovelia: (will [A Chink in the Armor][!] do?)
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>, you can, but you get a -1 penalty for every zone separating you from Nasby.)
Ratatoskr: (...So one?)
GM: (Dovelia, Yea.)
GM: (Tosky, Yea.)
GM: (<@Reality Glitch>, maybe complex ended up being the wrong word. Let's drop the issue.)
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>, you making an attack?)
Reality Glitch: ((For now.))
Ratatoskr: (heh, Tosky.)
ALRIGHT, This doesn't seem hard, In fact he pushes the Sling to its limit to make sure the explosive reaches Nasby.
Ratatoskr: (Yeah, Rolling Aggressive to attack Nasby.)
GM: Meanwhile, Cocoa just takes her harpoon six-shooter and starts unloading into Nasby point blank!
GM: (Ruling that any Conditions gained can't be invoked until next exchange.)

Ratatoskr: (4 vs 2)
GM: (That's -1, not +1.)
Ratatoskr: (Since its -1 for the zone, +2 for the invoke so it averages to +1 :V)
GM: (Oh, you did that thing where you declared an invoke before you rolled.)
GM: (Fair enough. Armor still absorbs it.)
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>, as it stands, you are currently dealing 0 shifts of stress to it. Do you invoke again?)
GM: !f 2 (Cocoa Aggressive)
Dovelia: spies the gap in the armor she's looking for - which, ironically, seems to be straight down the neck hole of a literal armor chestplate, a fancy piece of metalwork stuck into the monster's hide at an odd angle.
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 3 [4dF = [ ][+][ ][ ]]
Ratatoskr: (I...Sorry about that, And uh...I did not expect armor)
Dovelia: She then looks at Cocoa and Ratatoskr's haphazard means of attack, and sighs.

GM: (She invokes -On Its Back- and her six-shooter.)
Ratatoskr: (Well heck)
GM: (Yeah, that's twice now you've proven that you didn't read its stunt list. XD)
Ratatoskr: (heck)
Ratatoskr: (I'll eat the 0 damage for being dumb and for not reading ahead >.>.)
GM: (I'll be nice and let you take back that invoke.)
Reality Glitch: ((Would performing a feint force Nasby to Defend with "Complex Thinking"?))
GM: (Not sure how you perform a feint on a target of this scale, but sure!)
GM: (Oh, actually, <@!Ratatoskr>, if you want, you can invoke Thrown Off-Balance that it created on itself.)
Ratatoskr: (...Oh! Alright then.)
GM: It looks pretty [!] BEATEN by Ratatoskr's artillery strike, and Cocoa's repeated puncture shots leave it feeling pretty [!] DRAINED of fluids!
GM: Norstar, meanwhile, heads to Stern Station to- Wait, why is the countertop on fire? ... Never mind, she brings up a display on Nasby's dimensions, attempting to find a Structural Integrity Weakness [!] in its armor!

GM: (You yoinking Dovelia's aspect? XD)
Dovelia: (they're just getting invokes on it for their own use)
GM: (I'll just copy it to your section; the invokeless aspect still exists for Dovelia.)
Reality Glitch: ((Rachelle would still have permission to spend fate point on it as well.))
GM: (I did copy it.)
Dovelia: (but yeah, how much damage is that on this thing?)
Dovelia: (gotta be close to dead, right?)

Ratatoskr: (It...I did not expect to win this anyways XD)
Ratatoskr: (BUT I AM KEEPING THAT PIECE OF KNOWLEDGE CLOSE TO ME.)
GM: (It... might not matter anymore. XD)
GM: (Unless Nasby gets lucky here.)
Dovelia: (also dammit i forgot to flavor the hit, mb)
Dovelia: The blade slips right through the hole Dovelia picked and sinks deep. Really deep. At first there's no sign of any injury to the monster, but then Dovelia smirks and, with the finesse of an experienced angler, snaps her wrist back. The knife flips and spins on its way back out, and the beast roars as the knife launches into the air on a geyser of ichor.
GM: Norstar waddles over to Starboard. She flexes her arms behind her, and spires and rail frames jut out of her torso. "YOUR 3 MINUTES ARE UP! THIS IS THE MIGHT OF PAX GALACTIC TECHNOLOGY!" And she fires a giant cold laser-beam at a weak point in the beast's armor!

GM: (Her obsession with tech devices (which might not mix well with this fight; same reason as Dovelia's cyborg arm aspect).)

Ratatoskr: (Norstar just BFG9k'd Nasby)

GM: (Oh? That's an interesting option I didn't consider. XD)
GM: (For the record, upwards of 13 shifts is being dealt; you need to reduce it to 5 or less for Nasby to survive.)
Reality Glitch: (( <@!Ratatoskr>, <@!Dovelia>; we can pool our potential invokes together to let Nasby life through this/ Who's with me?))
GM: (The leading question being; would it be worth it?)
Dovelia: (wait, wait)
Dovelia: (are we talking about like)
Ratatoskr: (That is....a weird idea.)
Dovelia: (making sure he survives till one of us can make the kill)
Reality Glitch: ((Yeah.))
Ratatoskr: (It would be hilarious if we pulled it off, though)
GM: (Note that it's extremely likely one or more of you will need to spend multiple FATE points on this little project. XD)
Dovelia: (i ain't; Norstar can have the killshot)
Dovelia: (i'm savin' my FATE for the cooking)
Reality Glitch: ((If we each spent one fate point, that would bump Nasby's Defend to 10-shifts, which leaves 6 left as stress.))
Dovelia: ((well. okay. but only if revo is good with this.))
GM: (9, and 7 still beats the 5 shifts worth of conditions it has left.)
Dovelia: (oooh XD)
Ratatoskr: ((ehhh, I'll do like Ryu here and save my FATE for the eventual low roll))
Ratatoskr: ((Wait))
Ratatoskr: ((Oh god i didn't scroll down, you people are going through with this??))
Ratatoskr: ((Hell Yeah then))
GM: (Keep reading...)
Reality Glitch: ((If <@!Ratatoskr> and I each spend two, that put it at 13 which leaves 3.))
GM: (But is 2 FATE worth it?)
Ratatoskr: (Oh)
GM: (And it'll be left at 11, which leaves 5.)
Ratatoskr: (Uh, i think not then, 2 is a bit too much)
Reality Glitch: ((3 base, one fate from each of us (6) makes 9, then I spend a second for 11, a second from <@!Ratatoskr> would make 13. Are you sure you don't want to?))
Ratatoskr: ((Yeah, Fate points have saved my ass far too many times to not have them around :x ))
GM: (Alright then. <@!Ratatoskr>, describe how you lose your staring contest before Norstar gets her LAZ0R off.)
Reality Glitch: ((I'll spend three, then.))
Dovelia: (rg)
Dovelia: (do note)
Dovelia: (you are talking about spending three FATE Points)
Dovelia: (for one invoke's worth of advantage)
Dovelia: (that's what the kill shot gets you)
Dovelia: (a single extra invoke on the ingredient aspect)
Dovelia: (i'm right, aren't I? GM?)
Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr steps back, this thing looked deadly, it also didn't help that he had to cower to not be in the line of fire of whatever the hell Professor Norstar made.
Reality Glitch: ((Fine. I just feel sour about all that set-up Rachelle did going to complete waste.))
GM: (Actually, hunting Nasby is a "course" in judging. I can understand why RG is so desperate to get you guys to chip in, what with all those invokes they're sitting on.)
Dovelia: (rrrrrgh...fine. but you owe me. ONE FATE point, i'll give you.)
Reality Glitch: ((Thank you!))
Reality Glitch: ((Domo arigato gozaimasu!))
Reality Glitch: ((<@!Ratatoskr>? Chipping in? We can't do this without you.))
Ratatoskr: ((I, Uh, didn't I say no...?))
Ratatoskr: ((Im confused now))
Dovelia: (fine. one more. 'cause Dovelia and Rachelle are allies, riiiiiiiight? >8D)
GM: (I mean, this has nothing to do with the IC alliance, but okay?)
Reality Glitch: ((Ratatoskr doesn't have to do anything to justify the fate point expenditures.))
Reality Glitch: ((It's purely an O.o.C. decision.))
Ratatoskr: ((No no, its fine, i suppose i can chip just one))
Ratatoskr: ((and god forbid if the dice gods abuse this opening in my stratagem))
Reality Glitch: ((So that's revo 1, Ryu 2, and myself 3.))
GM: (What three aspects you using?)
Reality Glitch: ((And you have now instilled within me discontent. Are there even six aspect to invoke, and/or are multiple invokes on one aspect for one roll allowed if they're from different players?))
GM: (Well, it only counts per person, I say.)
GM: (So you need to name 3.)
GM: ((Since players colluding with their FATE can lead to big things.))
Reality Glitch: ((O.K.; then all three of Nasby's aspects. The final one being Ajax jumping in to stop Norstar because They want to be the one to slay it.))
GM: (Nothing about Norstar's tech? Or is someone else choosing to get that (for flavor)?)
GM: (Ah, what the hey.)
Reality Glitch: ((Sorry; I felt put on the spot.))
GM: (Still sticking with your choice?)
GM: (Also, <@!Ratatoskr>, before any of this can be resolved, you still have to describe the outcome of your staring contest. (Or did you think I would just forget that you still have a negative aspect to create on yourself? XD))
Ratatoskr: ((The late- oh, i forgot, ouch))
Reality Glitch: ((Norstar's tech is less of stretch than Ajax's Quarry.))
Reality Glitch: ((I thought they did already.))
GM: (Nope, there's no aspect, and he himself admitted to forgetting.)
GM: (Well, <@!Ratatoskr>?)
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>?)
Ratatoskr: ((SSSSOOORRYYY))
Ratatoskr: ((I'll admit i don't have any good name for a backfiring stare contest with a big fish))
GM: (The Chimera Blinked First.)
GM: (That sound good?)
GM: (<@!Ratatoskr>?)
Ratatoskr: ((YeaH))
GM: (I take it you can't go for another exchange? XD)
Ratatoskr: ((yeah, sorry ^^;))
GM: (I'll wave the need for a description. Now; the main event!)
Reality Glitch: ((<@!GM>; Norstar hasn't gotten put down as marking Nasby's BURNED condition.))
GM: (I was getting to that.)
GM: Just as Norstar fires up her LAZ0R, she feels a shift in her weight as she slides forward.
"... HM."
Suddenly, she shoots off the boat and makes a SPLAT! on the side of Nasby Pike as frost and blasting air explode across its surface, sending bits and baubles everywhere. The malfunction means Nasby wasn't hurt too much by this, per say, but the impact certainly left it a bit [!] SCRAMBLED.
GM: (You undershot it with your math that time. Great job saving it, guys! X3)
Ratatoskr: I used a fate point for this
GM: (And now, the conclusion!)
GM: Nasby Pike. Is not a happy fish. With a HHHHHRRRRRNNNNNVVVVVVWWWW!!! it lifts its left side up out of the water!
GM: And then it slams it down!
GM: Cocoa, who was standing close to the edge, is about to get way wetter. Dovelia and Norstar, currently on that side of the beast, are not in for a fun time either. (Making an attack against all three of these chumps! XD)
GM: !f 4 (Splashing + Tidal Wave)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+4 for 3 [4dF = [ ][-][-][+]]
GM: !f 2 (Cocoa Quick)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 1 [4dF = [ ][-][ ][ ]]
Dovelia: (gonna try quick? ^_^; )
Dovelia: !f 1 (Quick)
DiscoDude: <@Dovelia> rolled 4dF+1 for 3 [4dF = [ ][+][+][ ]]
Dovelia: (HOLY SHIT A TIE)
GM: !f 2 (Norstar Aggressive)
DiscoDude: <@GM> rolled 4dF+2 for 0 [4dF = [-][+][-][-]]
GM: (What were the rules for multi-attacks again? I know I have to divide the attack value among targets, but I forget if I need to put at least 1 into everyone.)
Reality Glitch: I'm pretty sure that's the case.
Dovelia: (https://fate-srd.com/fate-core/what-do-during-play)
Ratatoskr: (Wait, Ratatoskr got away scot free?)
GM: (He didn't attack. That's how I'm running Nasby's AI. XD)
Ratatoskr: (Ah)
GM: ("Attack everyone who attacked you and you're in the same zone.")
Reality Glitch: ((Next exchange?))
GM: (First, damage allocation.)
GM: Cocoa succeeds at jumping back from the ensuing wave, and Dovelia was high up on Nasby enough to avoid getting wet, but Norstar is a bit [!] SCRAMBLED as she's flung back onto the ship!
GM: (And now it's time for final lines, since <@!Ratatoskr> has agreed that it's getting late for him.)
Reality Glitch: Rachelle's nerves get the better of her at this point, and she just lets the harpoon rip out of the cannon.
GM: (<@!Dovelia>? <@!Ratatoskr>?)
Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr...is not sure why he isn't wet at all, maybe his stare contest worked?
Dovelia: leaps back to the boat just in time to avoid an embarrassing fate. "I don't like this any more than you do," she shouts, "but this will go easier on the both of us if you'd not do that in the future!"
GM: (With that, let us...)
GM: !end
