- ===FAQ===
- Why do you speedrun this game?
- Number of reasons. I've seen a speedrun of this game performed by Ahirun on Youtube, achieving a score of around 3 hours, and I thought "Hey, I can do that." That's the short story of how I began running this. Other reasons include there being little competition, it being my fave PS2 KH game, and knowing I could bring improvements to the speedrun strategy.
- Why Sora's Story? Do you run Riku's?
- Sora's Story is funner. It's longer, with more RNG, but funner nonetheless. I've run Riku's Story, and gotten my share of world records in some of those categories too at some point, but Sora's Story is where my primary skill dwells.
- What do you need to have a good run?
- 2 Red Nocturnes. 2400 Moogle points (to open 12 Moogle packs in 3 Moogle Rooms). 8 Firagas (24 Fires). 6 Blizzagas (18 Blizzards, getting some in Traverse Town is even better). 5 Random Jokers. 3 0 cards. 2 Ethers. Decent room card drop luck and battles. This run is missing some of these requirements.
- Why Firaga? Why not Thundaga?
- Fast casting. Homing ability. Earlier accessable magic to gather. Thundaga relies on heavier RNG, as I'd be forced to get it later in the run when more useless Magic cards would be in the Moogle Shop, lowering the odds of getting the necessary amount of Thunder cards. Firaga is also better and faster than Keyblade sleights, like Fatal Frame (which are difficult to acquire anyways).
- Why Blizzard for grinding?
- Fastest. Big range to defeat most Heartless at once. Early magic acquired. Thundaga is too risky to invest time into getting, when this is a perfectly fine alternative.
- Isn't Warp faster?
- Yes, but it has the same flaws as Thundaga, where it cannot be obtained early into the run. Also, Warp yields no EXP per battle, and I need a certain amount of CP to create the decks needed to take out the bosses.
- Why do you grind in Agrabah?
- I grind with Blizzaga, and there are no Heartless, excluding Green Requiem, that are immune to that element in Agrabah. Also, Aladdin Friend Card, when used, drops Red Moogle Points as it damages the enemy. This gets me enough to buy enough packs to create 2 decks, one for Firaga spamming and one for Blizzaga spamming, to take me through the rest of the game. The enemy's HP gets gradually higher as you traverse through the worlds, so getting the grinding done at this first world is useful.
- Why do you grind in Traverse Town?
- Red Nocturnes. I require this enemy card to boost my Firagas. Getting Blue Rhapsody's are nice too but as most of the enemies go down with Firaga, I don't restrict continuing my runs to getting no Blues.
- Why did you stop streaming?
- Full-time job. School upcoming. I have already achieved my goal of getting Sub 3 hours in all of Sora's stories, all still world records. Also with low competition, I have little incentive to continue this game.
