  11. That's like a one time scam
  12. Ha, no. Dump BTC as low as possible, then BAKKT goes live, big money pumps to new ATH, SEC suddenly approves a few ETFs, avergae joe fomos into ATH, big money sells to average joe and crashes the market. They will take BTC to $50-100k, sell it all to 401k lemmings and the crash it back to $10k and buy it all up again. Billions will be made
  13.

  18. Incorrect, for 2 years winklevoss and solidx/vaneck worked for an ETF during prices of $170-$280
  19. Winkelvoss are small fish that got in early and tried to profit by improving access, but this year with BAKKT, Nasdaq, Fidelity we’re seeing much bigger players, Wall Street in general doing the same thing, they’ve been accumulating OTC, will radically improve access particularly to baby boomers and profit

  31. If the ETF was being held back at $170 why do you think they'll load up now and approve it at $4k?
  32. If "their" plan is to load up on "cheap coins"
  33.
  34. Old Man
  35. Bottom line is BTC did an end run around the 'accredited investor' bullshit that allows big money to front run. So they had to create a way to front run by stalling the ETF while, buying vast quantities OTC and creating the BAKKT pipeline

  42. If they bought at $170 and sold at $20k that's a much greater return than buying at $4k and selling at $100k
  43. They didn't even need to launch BAKKT or ETF for that

  45. Tyler Durden
  46. Madara
  47. If the ETF was being held back at $170 why do you think they'll load up now and approve it at $4k?
  48. Because Wall Street didn’t have a big stake in crypto at $170 but when they saw the market spike to nearly a trillion they were like heck, we can make some money here... Now institutional buyers are largest in OTC market and biggest Wall Street players nearly have all entered to widen crypto access in Q1 2019 possibly including ETF

MKR worth few hundred million with 100 million DAI, how much stablecoin Dapp worth of gets bigger than problem plagued $1.8 Billion Tether? Then we may see Facebook etc. replaced by blockchain versions that provide greater privacy and/or give you value for your data

  663. The number of tokens in the initial supply is sort of irrelevant, broadly speaking. You could think of it as buying/selling a certain proportion of the supply - the number of tokens you get when you buy that percentage of the supply, along with the number of tokens making up the total supply are pretty much arbitrary numbers. I'm just trying to say that you own a percentage of the tokens, and the number of tokens you get for that percentage doesn't mean much.

1053. I will say it again, I am not leaving EOS. In the process of working on EOS security and scalability I stumbled upon a new set of tradoffs for a potential crypto token and I have merely been exploring whether there is a market for those tradeoffs. EOSIO is the future of blockchain and each day our team at block one is making it faster, more secure, more scalable, and more flexible.
1054. EOSIO is the most effecient, lowest cost, infrastructure for general purpose progamable public blockchains. It has the lowest fees and highest throughput. Blockone is actively seeking to improve this through better DB implementations, faster WASM exec, more effeicent network communications, multi-threaded sig checking. But ultimately, only multi-chain and IBC are capable of scaling enough to meaningfully bring down CPU costs.
1055. block.one is making incremental improvments every week, we have already more than doubled CPU throughput since launch.
1056. We are working on a small hard-forking change that will enable most users to never have to rent CPU and allow DAPP creators to rent / own CPU for their users.
1057. the take away from this should be that block one is actively working to make EOSIO better and solve problems

2097. This hypothetical token would be immutable, non-programmable, and limited to a currency role. It would in no way compromise the much larger use cases for EOSIO applications.
2098. nothing may come of it other than interesting hypothetical conversations
2099. My job at B1 is to innovate, B1's job is to make EOSIO great
2100. Apparently I’m not even allowed to explore an idea so that perhaps someone can make life better for everyone
2102. block.one is making incremental improvments every week, we have already more than doubled CPU throughput since launch.
2103. We are working on a small hard-forking change that will enable most users to never have to rent CPU and allow DAPP creators to rent / own CPU for their users.
2104. the take away from this should be that block one is actively working to make EOSIO better and solve problems
