That&#39;s when Spencer and Jen learn he&#39;s the target of a multi-million dollar hit. Even worse, the hired killers have been stalking the happy couple for years, and could be anyone: friends, neighbors, the grocery store clerk, even that crabby old guy shuffling across the street. Now Spencer and Jen are on the run for their lives. As their suburban paradise turns into a paranoid game of dodge-the-bullet, they must find out who wants Spencer dead and why, all the while trying to save their marriage, manage his in-laws, keep up neighborly appearances ... and just plain survive.
Spencer (Kutcher) is an assassin and gets out of the business when he meets Jen (Heigl); and they get married, settle down until someone puts a $20-Million contract out on Spencer. Now he and Jen have to run for their lives. <br/><br/>Why would anyone in their right mind title this as KILLERS if this is advertised as a comedy? Don&#39;t we have enough trouble in the world? Yes is no. Black is white. See what I mean?<br/><br/>This story took a long time in getting started and there was no reason for it. At least in Mr and Mrs Smith things got busy right away. But at the half-way mark, this finally got to be okay. <br/><br/>Good action scenes came in at the half way mark. Actually, it got somewhat tedious because they came almost non-stop when Spencer and Jen couldn&#39;t trust anyone as it seemed the whole world was out for the $20-Million. The whole world?!? I didn&#39;t get that message. <br/><br/>Tom Selleck was good as Jen&#39;s father, but why did they have Catherine O&#39;Hara, as Jen&#39;s mother, constantly booze it up every time she was on camera? In one scene she might have used a milking pail to drink her booze from as the glass she had was actually that big. Was this supposed to be comedy? Was this the idea of the same guy who came up with the dumb title? Ashton Kutcher could be another action hero as he did pretty good here. But, when Katherine Heigl is on screen you cannot take your eyes off her regardless of how bad the script is, and the first half was not good. <br/><br/>When they had a Trust Circle, I would have thought Jen would have told her mother that she had to stop her incessant drinking. Still can&#39;t figure a reason why they had her drink so much in every scene she was in. No, it couldn&#39;t have been comic relief as it was never funny. <br/><br/>There is a twist in here, but it was telegraphed early on and was lame anyway. <br/><br/>This may be been billed as a comedy, but it was far from it. The second half saved the movie due to the action scenes and somewhat better dialogue. I believe there was more comedy in Mr and Mrs Smith. Hey, do you think Spencer and Jen know them? Now, that would make a good movie: Spencer and Jen meet Mr and Mrs Smith. Hmmmm.<br/><br/>Violence: Yes. Sex: No. Nudity: No. Language: Yes, one F-bomb by Ms. Heigl
Our story begins with Jen(Katherine Heigl) travels to France with her parents(Tom Selleck and Catherine O&#39;Hara) after recovering from a bitter breakup. When she first gets there, she meets Spencer(Ashton Kutcher), a handsome charming man, both instantly become smitten with each other, fall in love and get married. Three years later they seemed to be settled in.<br/><br/>Until someone has put a hit on Spencers life, Spencer didn&#39;t tell Jen about his past, he was a C.I.A. assassin, until he met Jen, and quickly realized he wants out, and wants a normal life. With people trying to kill them left and right, and not knowing who to trust, will they survive and will there marriage too? <br/><br/>Ashton Kutcher trying to do James Bond, and he does okay. Katherine Heigl is alright, but she wore out after a while. Tom Selleck and Catherine O&#39; Hara are amusing. The action are fun, kind of like The Bourne Identity. It blend comedy, suspense, and action so perfectly well together. Now my complaint is that there is a twist at the end, when you learned who ordered the hit, I won&#39;t say what it is, but ruined the point of everything else for me. It served no purpose. But the rest of the film was entertaining.
It’s so ineffectual and unfocused that after it’s over, you’re not even sure you watched a movie.
