However, the cpu at 2K does not appear to make as many suspicious moves as from the show franchise or rtts, For example in one year, the braves flipped fried along with a prospect for morton at the start of the calendar year, then ahead of the deadline whilst holding a wild card spot and competing to the branch, decided to dump morton and soroka for little return, ive never seen any comparable moves like that in at least 50 franchises on 2K So yes there's more to do and control in mlb the series which could make it more enjoyable, but it demonstrates that SDS put way more time in their money making manner than franchise or RTTS.

IMO trades in franchise are broken. Last year I traded Cole Tucker, Mitch Keller, and Starling Marte for Mike Trout. Also, there is a lot of depth in the owner mode for 2K. You get to employ you own staff (Yes you can at The Display as well), however you can have conversations with these people and they will provide you advice on who to scout, draft, etc.. It is also possible to have conversations and interviews with free agents until they are drafted by you.

You can talk to your players and try to cheer them up and it goes down if they don't work well or get less time, although players have a sin. 2K shows social networking's which is an wonderful thing in itself. It's so much more depth than The Show.Like I said in another comment 2K gets the benefit of a studio 10x the size of SDS to work on this stuff but Franchise isn't nearly as bad. If you do not like unrealistic transactions then don't make them. All the 2K stuff you mention is more fluff than substance.

It makes the experience better although it could be considered fluff. If I did enjoy playing with The Show I'd be playing OOTP. Why people simulate franchise seasons, it blows my mind. That seems mind numbing to me. On the topic of fluff, The Show's RTTS experience is so barebones.
