  11. scolipede is a pokemon that truly changed the face of the metagame. while some people prefer its subsalac set, i have chosen it for its astonishing reliability at setting up at least two layers of entry hazards. spikes are a given: they soften up the opposing team, and due to scolipede's massive speed and nu's lack of good spinners, the opponent is often forced to suffer with them for the duration of the match. toxic spikes are a less seen move on scolipede, but are neccessary on this team. they allow the team to have a far easier time against rain, but more importantly, they allow my klang to beat alomomola if i can get two layers up, and are a general pest to pretty much every single team that doesn't have a grounded poison type (which is actually more than you might think). megahorn is a move seen on every scolipede: standard powerful stab move that can be thrown around a lot, and becomes lethal when boosted by swarm. aqua tail is used to KO charizard after stealth rock, and can 2hko standard golurk, which cannot ohko back and is thus beaten. nevertheless i prefer to face opposing golurks with my seismitoad, but its cool to have should the situation arise.

  13. the evs are kinda weird looking, but they allow scolipede to outrun the monkeys. simisage is obviously koed, and simisear is also one shotted by aqua tail after stealth rock. simipour cant hit me super effectively and falls to megahorn before scolipede does to hydro pump. the attack evs allow me to 2hko charizard, golurk and musharna. simisear and charizard are huge threats to klang, so i had to make sure that as man pokemon as possible can deal with them. the rest are pumped into hp for bulk. i have however used a max max focus sash set with swords dance over toxic spikes. while a more immediately threatening scolipede for sure, i pretty much then rely on serperior to take out alomomola, or seismitoad getting a toxic off on it. toxic it's definetly something to consider though, as a smart alomomola use will just bring it in to get regular poisoned, and thus make sure that klang is unable to break it.
