- [14:37:52] Scouting the area around as usual, Saulot was seeking out for any potential individual to raise as his own undead. The skirmishes and occasional battles occuring here and then gave him plenty of chance to find someone, given the fact that there'd be actually a person both formidable enough to be worth of raising and yet someone whom Saulot could take on.
- Those were familiar clothes...
- "This will do."
- ___________________________
- Whilst Batkem led the squadron of Krausite knights, Saulot appeared out of nowhere with the crimson lightning escaping his fingertips into all directions. He was completely alone, though the sheer magical might was enough to instantly kill few soldiers.
- That, obviously, prompted them to back off, least they wished to get caught in crossfire while not really making any difference.
- Saulot had his appearance concealed, but Batkem was clearly visible. Eyeying her briefly, he arched a brow, surprised to see her amidst the potential battlefield.
- "You? Interesting." - the muffled voice spoke to her.
- It was clear his intent was to battle.
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [14:42:59] After having her attention taken away from her new daughter by a knight of the Hand, it was time to enter the battlefield. The spriggan knew exactly who she would be going after; not by name, but by speciality. Necromancers, the undead. They were the goal of her crusade. Within her right hand, she held a sunflower as a staff, a weapon not threatening but one which served as a symbol of sorts, a symbol of hope.
- At her side travelled her spirit, Lucian, a featureless specter which she had contracted long ago. But since Saulot and Batkem had last met, this wasn't the greatest power of her work she had gained. With the sudden zap of lightning which struck several soldiers down, the spriggan turned to his direction.
- And frighteningly, an ethereal blue energy began to emanate from her eye sockets, taking over the sockets entirely as a strange being seemed to flutter within her, like a robed shade sharing the same body as her. The power of the Warden. "You should have taken my offer," she states.
- But it was far too late for that.
- (Batkem Loirdne)
- [14:44:41] {combat} Saulot Vykos has been defeated by Batkem Loirdne! They're unable to continue fighting.
- [14:44:41] Saulot Vykos: (i ate that beam badly)
- [14:51:31] The power of the Warden, the exorcists of the spirit realm, flowed through her. From the space of her long flowing robes, a swarm of alienoid insects and the heads of sunflowers flowed from within, flying out to surround her body in an odd veil of plant and insectlife, a style unique to her. As lightning struck out, Saulot was met by an suffocating force of plants which flew out to stick to his body as hundreds of small bugs flew about him, biting at his skin.
- But oddly, these attacks were not normal. No, rather than just attack flesh, they seemed to attack his very essence, slowly stripping it away with every attack; the power of the soulbound weapon flowed through all of her attacks. Sunflower heads which did not land on him planted themselves in the ground to shower Saulot in blinding cosmic energy, adding on to the suffocating array of forces keeping him from moving.
- With her staff held forward like a spear of sorts, Batkem was shot toward her necromancer foe to slam past him with scorching cosmic magic, followed by a whip of water. A beam of point blank nova energy, followed by a pressurized cannon of water, were enough to throw him to the ground.
- Batkem took a step back, recalling her spirit once more. "This is the power I have learned from the spirit realm, Necromancer. You made a very grave mistake."
- (Batkem Loirdne)
- [14:56:38] Despite his attempts to engage upon her, he was met with a cosmic force to blast him backwards, alongside with the powers of water that she met him with; it threw him backwards, all while the attacks of another kind bited at his very essence. It hurt, but gladly his face was concealed to not show the pain portrayed upon it.
- Through pain, he stood on his feet again, his eyelids narrowed upon the figure before him. She was strong, there was no denial to that. Perhaps too strong for him.
- "/Grave/ mistake? Is this supposed to be a pun?" - he referrenced to the fact that she sensed Necromantic Arts within him.
- _____________________________
- Without further await, he lashed out at her again. The crimson lightning flew, and the outcome of the battle was drawing near, for good or worse.
- Even if he were to be defeated, he faced such circumstance with some humor.
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [14:58:20] {combat} You killed a Yggdrasil! (+1 EXP, +408cr)
- [14:58:20] {combat} You killed a Spirit! (+1 EXP, +1cr)
- [14:58:20] {combat} Saulot Vykos has been defeated by Batkem Loirdne! They're unable to continue fighting.
- [15:07:44] "Grave mistake?" she repeats aloud, just almost laughing a bit. She had no intention of any humor on her mind, but that obviously was a fairly good joke. Not that it mattered much in the end. Just as before, her style was the same; the spriggan's body was surrounded by plantlife and insects that buzzed through the air, latching themselves onto Saulot to keep him in place.
- Suffocating attacks followed one after another before Batkem launched herself forward to dash past the necromancer with a blazing dash of solar power, followed by a whip which threw him off balance. But luckily, her spirit was there to catch him. With Saulot grabbed for a moment by her specter, he was at the mercy of her attacks.
- A beam of cosmic energy shot into his torso, scorching him to an incredible degree before it halted, only to be replaced by a cannon of water which blasted into him. The man was shot past the spirit and away, offering him the chance to flee.
- (Batkem Loirdne)
- [15:15:24] He certainly underestimated her. She held way too much power for him to handle, and before he could even respond to her attacks properly, he was caught off guard; those insects tearing away at his pattern didn't help the situation any better.
- Some of his mask was torn due to constant attacks, revealing a hazel eye on the right side of the face, a sweaty forehead with some blood mixed in and a dark blond hair hanging down due to it becoming a mess.
- It was hard to stay conscious under pressure of such attacks, but... he did manage to. He suffered worse damage before, surely he could handle this one as well. He just needed to hold onto his mind for a bit longer.
- Come on, Saulot. Don't pass out. You're going to die if that happens.
- _____________________________
- The scorches tore at his clothes, burning away much of it, if only to leave bare parts of his torso all over. The armor was clearly not in a good shape at all and he'd need some repairs done after this is over.
- "Good... fucking fight--" - he stood up with a cough, gazing at her. She was probably going to attack soon, but he'd speak, letting her assume that he has nowhere to go.
- "As much as I'd like to stick around.." - he spoke with a pause, holding at his wounded side, - "I don't feel like becoming worm food today. Bye."
- Before she'd attack at his final word, the crimson lightning flashed at the place where he used to be. The man was instantly gone somewhere in the shadows of already dark forest, disappearing from her sights. If she were to follow, she would not be able to find him anywhere nearby. He's gone and it's over.
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [15:21:23] The necromancer obviously had to flee the previous battlefield. Whenever he'd get the chance to hide in some shadows, he'd perform an Art of Riftmancy to get him out of there as soon as possible, and as far as possible too. He was way too outclassed by this Spriggan, and she was way too powerful for him to handle. At least he killed some knights, huh...
- Limping, holding at his side, Saulot was wandering about the Bygone forest after teleporting himself somewhere nearby. His teeth were gritting in pain, but at least he was coming back to his senses; the armor was still torn, obviously, and even a fool would figure out he's fresh out of fight. A serious one, while at that.
- The face was torn in particular as well, revealing a small part of his face at the right side... but that's about as far as it went, honestly.
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [15:23:56] Seeking and Searching
- Trolly being his curious self would go about and look for people. He left the garden for the time being. Why? Because Trolly knew he was not bound to only the garden itself. Though he would fight anyone or anything who challenged the garden. Trolly had no problem with studying others. After all that was what the Source wanted from him.
- As he would come looking for someone he would see a man who looked to had his ass handed to him or been in brutal fight.
- Walking over to the man Trolly would speak.
- "Who...are you? Also...what...happen..to..you?"
- (Trolly)
- [15:28:12] Having his ass handed to him was just about right. That damn Spriggan was way too powerful for him to take him on, and he clearly overestimated himself.
- Stopping by to gaze upon Trolly before him, he still held his bloodied side at which his torso was exposed due to torn clothing. Was he one of the Cinderfallen as well? If that's the case, oh boy, here we go again...
- "War happened, that's what."
- He responded in a tone that clearly suggested being pissed off. Why wouldn't he be? He was defeated and barely escaped with his life, and now his whole body hurts. Of course he'd be in a rather unwelcoming mood.
- "What, never seen injured people?"
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [15:35:02] He would look at the man and tilt his head.
- The human looked quite weird but the creature well the 'human' didnt' care. He would simply examine and draw the man. Then he would put the drawing away. It was very quicking drawing and his eyes were focused on every detail of the man before him. Trolly would then sit down as the breeze gatheed around him.
- "Does this mean...you need to get strohger? Can you teach Trolly how to be stronger?"
- The man would see a slim young teen with reddish blone hair. Trolly was more of not showing care to the situation the man was in right now. Actually he seemed intent on gaining something from this being. Only waiting for him to respond. Though of course Trolly knew what war was to the point.
- "Trolly...read of war. Never been in war but sounds very knowledgeable. Can you give Trolly sample?"
- (Trolly)
- [15:38:27] Oh, another one...
- Saulot already had experience with children asking him for training, some even going as far to ask for Depraved Arts. What's with the kids trying to learn these anyway?
- "You're not very observant, are you? I'm not exactly in the mood, or the state, to train anybody whatsoever right now."
- But if Trolly couldn't comprehend that Saulot is clearly not in position to provide any sort of training, well then... he could only do so much before he'd just give up on trying to explain and let him assume whatever, but not fulfill his requests regardless.
- "War is hunger. It's when two or more sides that want something gladly cripple and kill each other to get that something, or because their interests are in conflict."
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [15:45:16] Trolly would simply tilt his head.
- Did the man think Trolly wanted to actually be under his wing? Trolly would chuckle a bit. A strange loud sound would emit from Trolly. He would stop laughing and wipe his brow. Should he be doing that? No! But Trolly was still learning the 'human' emotions as time went by day by day.
- "Trolly..is not seeking to be under you...Trolly is seeking to experience. I don't want training at all. I want is knowledge anything you can tell me about. From the least to most."
- He would then hear about war and about a human's outlook on it. It was sad thing Trolly had recieved yet another disgusting human act of things. Trolly grew tired of humans constantly seeking such untasteful tactics to get what they want.
- "So...you believe...this is the only way...to see to things? You gladly...kill others or bring them pain?" The way Trolly said it would sound like a creepy aching feeling going down your spine.
- (Trolly)
- [15:52:06] Straightening his posture after a while, Saulot felt the pain subside and fade as time passed. Gladly, he managed to escape before any grievious or life-threatening injuries were sustained, and he did not have to provide himself with cauterization via lightning or fire magics. That'd hurt, a lot.
- "To experience? And knowledge?" - Saulot took notice of the odd pattern of his expressions.
- As a matter of fact, he already met Mimics before, and could recognize it when he saw one. The aloof behaviour, the strange expressions, slowed down speech and most of all - the will to learn about everything.
- "Right, a Mimic then."
- And it seems that he clearly was not familiar with how things work in human society, either.
- "Might is Right. When civilized acts and laws fail to settle the conflict, it all comes down to who has the biggest weapon to swing at another, and who wields it better."
- "And if you fail to accept such ultimate law, you're bound to meet your end from it."
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [15:59:47] The creature would hear the man and simply gaze. So humans needed to be taught to things also? He would only listen more and more. As if it was something bothering him deep in his core. A feeling of wgich he was not use to at all of hearing. Either way he was gaining much from this man. Just by speaking to him.
- The man seem to know what he was also.
- "Does..Trolly...race really matter? Your terms of things...are...distasteful. You are not gaining for your own purpose. You are doing it to do it. You choose to walk on a path of your own downfall. Though...soon things will change..."
- Trolly would hear the man and believe some points are understandable.
- "Trolly...will not fall...Trolly has protect...friends...Trolly will not show mercy to those who bring harm upon friends..."
- The mimic would then draw his sword.
- "Trolly...wants to see your purpose..to...feel...why...you fight..." Seems a challenge was being thrown at the man. What would Saulot do?
- (Trolly)
- [16:04:54] The man was wounded, that's certain, but he was nowhere close to being incapable to fight anymore. A matter of fact, he could still go on for more, having some time to recover ever since his last fight.
- "Your kind is hunted and disgraced in almost entire of Valmasia. Beware of how you act."
- A sword drawn upon him? Very well then.
- "If you think I'm not able to fight just because I'm wounded, you're very wrong."
- The masked man drew upon lightning around his body and surrounded himself with it. Even though some of his wounds were still seeping with blood, he seemed to ignore it just fine.
- "I'll give you a close demonstration in that case." - he referred to his will to acknowledge Saulot.
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [16:09:10] The mimic would hear the man words of his race. People did hate his kind. They wanted them all dead and gone. Trolly however was not afraid of anything. To challenge and to see through was what the Source wanted them to do. To gain and push their efforts and capabilties of life. He would indeed not let the Source down.
- The man was wounded but trolly never look down upon any opponent.
- "Trolly...never under estimates anyone. Trolly is aware of its kind being killed and hated by people. Trolly has found home that accepts him. Trolly will protect home."
- Trolly would then see lightning cover the man. The immense pulse of depraved magic.
- The mimic would then clap his hands together and lightning would surround him. As he did a clone of him would come from his shadow. Prepared to fight also and the two would act upon in the same stance. With that said he was prepared.
- (Trolly)
- [16:13:26] A smirk covered his face beneath the mask.
- To not be afraid of anything is foolish. He was yet to see how it works in here, and even if Saulot was not an opponent to inspire a murdering intent on sight, there were certainly rather horrible individuals out there...
- "Then you should learn better how to conceal your nature if you're aware of such."
- The moment his clone was sprang out, Saulot lashed out potent magics of lightning upon Trolly.
- The fight began.
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [16:14:17] {combat} You killed a Trolly! (+1 EXP, +1cr)
- [16:14:17] {combat} Trolly has been defeated by Saulot Vykos! They're unable to continue fighting.
- [16:18:33] Clearly Trolly was outclassed by Saulot, way too much in fact. Mimic was rather inexperienced, and Saulot was a veteran of many fights and even a war at this point. He suffered through much and only grew stronger, something that was yet to happen to the Mimic.
- "What now? Seeing my intent to fight yet?" - almost a mocking remark escaped his lips.
- Though, Saulot pondered why did this Mimic even decide to challenge him? Was it some sort of a test for oneself, or he was a masochist that relished in experiencing pain? Or rather, was he /willing/ to experience pain?
- More lightning was traversing through the Mimic's body. His mana circuits were under immense pressure, the heat and pain spreading all across his pattern. As if it weren't enough, the flames of dark nature were flung at him with explosive force, burning away his clothing and surface of skin.
- "Might is Right. You're ought to learn that."
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [16:25:23] Shock or Excited?
- The mimic was not understanding as the waves of darkness. fire, and lightning would hit him over and over. Constantly being beat over and over. The mimic body was not able to handle the pressure of the fighter. This man was above his power greatly. His human made skin would burn and cause Trolly great pain.
- He heard the man's words but grew more wild.
- Standing slowly as a bit of flesh would fall from his arm. Revealing a dark liquid.
- The crreature would take in this pain. Endure it and understand it. To feel this pain was to gain knowledge for the Source. This was the concept of troly's constant fights. Losing didn't matter to Trolly. only gain did in his mind. As the Source collected all of its faults and tought him more adjustment
- "Trolly...sees...not done just yet."
- Even with his body beaten and almost broken in a way the mimic's ways were over topping it.
- He wouldhear these words that would cause a trigger in the mimic.
- "Might...is right?" Something in the eyes of the mimic would feel strange. Still the creature was ready to fight once more.
- (Trolly)
- [16:26:14] {combat} Trolly has been defeated by Saulot Vykos! They're unable to continue fighting.
- [16:33:04] Now he shall understand.
- Might was always right. No laws, no culture, no words would ever stand up to significance of might. One may whine, scream, resist against such ultimate law, but in the end, whoever was the strongest was the one to assert how things would go. That was the only true law that applied to everyone.
- ______________________
- With yet another attack of lightning and flames, Saulot flashed himself right at Trolly; his attempts to fight back were halted by gripping his wrist that held the sword with one hand and gripping his neck with another hand, sending a powerful shockwave of crimson lightning through his palm and into Mimic's body.
- The pain was unbearable. He kept the immense shock coming at the Mimic, frying him to his very core, and when he'd think this would be at last over, the Mimic would find himself being slammed into ground, with dark flames pouring on top of him to burn away his gear and skin alike.
- "Acknowledge this law, or you'll never make it far. Might alone should be your goal, no matter what else you wished for - without any strength, you will not achieve what you wish for."
- This was brutal to beat down a Mimic like that, and perhaps even cruel to throw such words upon him just after he was defeated, but Saulot was right. The Might is what turned around the state of Valmasia, it's what kept the power grabs to happen again and again.
- The strongest ruled everytime.
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [16:39:53] Such a lost and pain. Such a gruesome way to a mimic to face such a situation. Yet it was needed very much indeed. Trolly never fought a opponent like this at all. If it was another Trolly would most likely be gone. Yet, this man would only torture Trolly and throw foul words upon him. It made Trolly grow very unsettled. Something deep inside was growing.
- Trolly heard the words over and over again.
- His black blood boiling all over. As the fire slammed into him like no tomorrow. Trolly heard him but couldn't respond. The black flames were to much to deal with. Unlike regular fire this fire was ruthless. Burning into the very core of Trolly eating away at the body he was in during the time.
- The man showed Trolly no mercy.
- The mimic silence showed he was not in a good condition at all.
- Might was right played through his mind over and over. Trollyhearing these words like a tortureous echo. Trolly would only lay there in the flames as they ate his body. The black ooze falling from his form. He was not dead but in pain indeed he was.
- (Trolly)
- [16:45:52] Gladly for the Mimic, Saulot didn't have intention to finish him off. The fight itself was not really fair in Saulot's mind; it was clear that either the Mimic overestimated himself, or underestimated Saulot instead, or was too curious for his own good to attack the Necromancer. He was yet to grow, and Saulot was not depraved or insane enough to take away such right from him.
- "Let this be a lesson for you, unless you'd rather neglect it and suffer the fate much worse than this."
- Saulot gazed down upon his injuries inflicted by the Spriggan earlier. Most stopped seeping with blood, but at this point due to adrenaline rush, he felt no pain. He pondered if the Mimic was even alive at this point... or simply unconscious.
- "Get up."
- Clearly Saulot held no relevance to how much pain he was still feeling, nor he would sweeten up his demeanor towards the Mimic. It was harsh, demanding even, but at least he had enough of kindness to not inflict horrible maiming upon him, or even slay him.
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [16:51:50] The man would tell the creature to get up. It was most likely easier said then done. The human body he was using was not use to such pain. The body being made from a drawing was not exactly something he could just shake off. No it was going to have to do what it was born to do. The creature flesh would fall of splatting on the ground.
- The fire along with it would falll with the skin. Soon Saulot would see a glob of blackness forming growing. Then eyes would come from it as it would look at the man. Clearly the pain it felt was still there but the burning sensation was no longer with the mimic.
- It would look at the body and glob. The sword it had would be sucked into its body. As if to keep it inside.
- "..."
- Its clothes though were nothing but ashes. Though its eyes showed no emotion. It just stared waiting for what would the man say or do next.
- (Trolly)
- [16:55:15] Of course, it did end up to be a Mimic. There was no denial to it from the traits he witnessed earlier.
- "Most curious as to who would even allow you in and let you claim the place as home..."
- He took a step closer. The tall posture approached, the crimson lightning still circling him sometimes in a rather intimidating fashion, he adressed towards the Mimic - and hopefully it was sane enough to not ignore Saulot's questions. His patience could prove to be rather short.
- "Do tell me, where is your home? Who allowed someone as you to live next to them?"
- His bet was the garden... it had a lot of children around indeed. Maybe this one remained there, concealed by appearance of a child?
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [17:00:22] The creature would look at the man. The man seem to be trying to get him to talk. The creature of course would only gaze. As if it was not budging on such a thing, It would not seem to be looking to tell those of wo he called friends out. No, the mimic might be a foul creature but it promised the children. something had no attentions of breaking.
- "You...need to..not..care..for my whereabout...You have...shown..me...what...is needed.."
- The man's threats did not cause the creature at all to be in fear. When it came to the kids it was not going to let them down. They gave him a home. It would not let him harm the kids or the garden. Trolly was staring at him if he had a human for it be serious. But this was going to have to due for now.
- "My..home...is my...home. You...will...not...harm...my...home..."
- (Trolly)
- [17:06:20] Wrong answer.
- All that the Mimic could see is disappointed, distasteful expression by the part of face that was exposed from partially torn mask. Clearly Saulot didn't enjoy what he heard from the Mimic.
- "You fool."
- Another jolt of lightning was thrown towards the Mimic whilst he was in this form. Oh, it was certainly painful, serving him as something to remind about the fact that Saulot was superior in here and had all of the right to get his questions. Unless, of course, Mimic didn't hold his life dear.
- "You are going to answer me or I'll let you experience what oblivion is sooner than you expect." - clearly he was referring to killing the Mimic. Was it insane enough to keep up the composure at the face of possible demise?
- "Who are you affiliated with? Is it Cinderfall or Garden?"
- Saulot could already guess he's one of the two due to his previous appearance being that of a child. Only those two cities had the most of the children lately.
- "I hold little care to hurt other children, but if you're not going to answer, you're not going to see your friends again."
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [17:14:01] Bam!
- The creature would be hit by the bolt of lightning slime flying over the place. The creature feeling the immense pain. The creature was indeed feeling it but it would only look him in the eyes as the thing would only just stare. The man calling him a fool.
- The jolt of lightning would cause the creature to yalp in pain. A loud burst coming from the creature as it screamed in immense pain. The creature would not budge though. Though he would answer rthe question on Cinderfall.
- "Cinder....bad...Trolly...hate..Cinder..."
- Though any other questions would not be answered. As the creature clearly rsented Cinderfall. It had heard things and wouldn't dare involve itself with them.Though it would be in immense pain it would glare at the man prepared to take another hit if needed.
- "Trolly has purpose...Trolly will not...give...in. Trolly will not harm come to friends..."
- (Trolly)
- Gained 2 Roleplay Points
- [17:20:51] Oh, there was no need for another hit.
- Mimic already told Saulot enough. A simple deduction would lead Saulot to a thought that he's affiliated with Garden - it was full of children as well, just like Cinderfall, but if Cinderfall was not his cup of tea, then only Garden remained.
- "So, Garden."
- Saulot shook his head at the determined, yet foolish Mimic. The necromancer had no issue with the Garden, and as a matter of fact, he'd rather see it bloom with upcoming generation of children growing up in it rather than Cinderfallen folks.
- "You are really a fool. If you've told me that from beginning, this pain could've been avoided."
- "I have no intention to harm your friends, but your innocence and idiocy are amusing. For that, I'll spare you."
- That was hardly 'sparing' at this point, though...
- Saulot really did a mess out of Mimic, but oh well, the little slime decided to challenge him first and paid the price - moreover, he refused to answer his questions. At least, the Mimic answered on what Saulot wanted to know, whether he realized that or not.
- "You're not ready for this world. You're still too inexperienced, and anybody would already slay you at this point. Remember my mercy, Mimic."
- With that said, he began to walk away, least he had something else to say.
- (Saulot Vykos)
- [17:26:49] The creature only lay there in pain. With much agony as it just stood there and felt the pain all over. The man found out his home. The place of where his friends were. Though did Trolly fully trust him? No, the pain he felt was to much for anyone to trust someone. In a way many would fear the man now. trolly on the other hand only saw what was needed to be done.
- He could hardly speak.
- Though one thing showed was Trolly was not one to give up on his comrades. no, matter what the situation was The man called it idocy but Trolly saw through it till the end of his pain.
- As the man walk away Trolly himself would drag the slimy bodu of his to the garden. Even if he wanted to transform it would not work. Trolly body was to badly hurt to do it. The creature would hope to make it to see his friends. His place of home.
- The man called it mercy. Trolly saw no mercy. Humans tortured and hurt for what they wanted. Was this the way of things? Trolly would not be sure as he dragged along the path. His black blood leaking along the way.
