  1. Criminal vs Spider
  2. R1
  3.
  4. Criminal
  5. Alita vs NC
  6. * Alita's striking is super strong
  7. * Alita has super fast reactions
  8. * Alita's opponent is not as fast
  9. * Alita's sword is mega fast/sharp
  10. * Alita's gun is super strong
  11. * Alita is durable
  12. * Alita smashes her opponent with superior stat spread.
  13.
  14. Zazie vs Moon Knight
  15. * Nigga WTF is this feat but okay she's fast.
  16. * Zazie is accurate
  17. * Zazie hits hard
  18. * Zazie having multiple arms means more firepower at once
  19. * Zazie spams and moon knight dies.
  20.
  21. Yuma vs Crossbones
  22. * Yuma is faster than her opponent
  23. * Yuma is a cutting based character
  24. * Yuma is durable
  25. * Yuma is hyperlethal vs CB and hyperlethal against him.
  26.
  27. Judge's Notes: I think Crim goes with a good start and has a good flow to the debate. He 1) establishes stats and then 2) argues how this translates into victory.
  28.
  29. Spider
  30. Alita vs NC
  31. * NC is a teleporter AND fast meaning he can avoid Alita's attacks.
  32. * NC is super duper durable.
  33. * NC is both strong and accurate.
  34. * NC wins via teleporting and shanking his opponent.
  35.
  36. Zazie vs MK
  37. * MK is fast and can use stealth to his advantage
  38. * MK is strong
  39. * MK is accurate
  40. * MK wins via sneaking about and ganking his opponent.
  41.
  42. Yuma vs CB
  43. * CB is faster than Crim gave credit for
  44. * CB is tougher than Crim gave credit for
  45. * CB is strong
  46. * CB wins via a knife throw against Yuma who lacks piercing.
  47.
  48. Judge's Notes: I think Spider has the right idea. He performs his rebuttals and then transitions into his own stats as to why he wins. In my opinion though, one issue I note in your wording is you usage of words like "potentially". Note how this sounds in a persuasive argument. Instead cut words like this and give the impression that your statements are ironclad even if they are not. Another thing is that if you think some aspect of a character is OOT, just OOT rather than pinging Verlux about questions.

  50. R2
  51. Criminal
  52.
  53. Alita vs NC
  54. * Points out that his opponent linked only scaling without context.
  55. * NC's bullet timing is far from ironclad
  56. * Alita would see the ganks coming
  57. * Alita is faster/more deadly than her opponent, so she wins.
  58.
  59. Zazie vs MK
  60. * Zazie is faster than MK
  61. * Zazie's gun attacks in the timeframe of MK's movement
  62. * Zazie wins therefore
  63.
  64. Yuma vs CB
  65. * Yuma is faster than her opponent
  66. * Yuma cuts to the point where being tough isn't enough to actually help
  67. * Yuma kills her opponent easily, fuck being tough.
  68.
  69. Judge's Notes: While I think Crim was in the right to call out that scaling without context establishes/proves nothing, there are instances where I think personally that isn't true just from reference/visual cues. An instance I can think of is that the Sentinel Scaling is blatantly being done to a target that's metal in nature, which inherently sets up an area of relevancy for NC. To name an example, "Mr. Incredible tears apart this gigantic robot" rarely needs any other context beyond the baseline assumption of what the robot looks like. Other than that, I have no criticisms.
  70.
  71. Spider
  72.
  73. Alita vs NC
  74. * Clarifies the sentinel feat.
  75. * NC is fast
  76. * Alita cannot meaningfully prepare against Alita's ganks
  77. * Crim has not demonstrated his character is mega fast.
  78. * NC can gank his opponent as well as disrupt her offense
  79.
  80. Zazie vs MK
  81. * MK is fast, strong and stealthy.
  82. * MK can disappear + gank his opponent.
  83.
  84. Yuma vs CB
  85. * CB is fast
  86. * CB is strong.
  87.
  88. Subject to change based on OOT requests.
