"So, is he really just a friend?" Nisha suddenly asked, stirring the shake she had just bought with her straw.

"Who?" Alice looked up from the story she was reading on her phone to look at her companion.
"Jack. You've been spending an awful lot of time with him, don't you think?"
"He's just a friend, Nisha."

"That phrase again, I swear, reading a story with someone getting friendzoned is frustrating enough, but seeing it happening in front of me is worse! What luck I have," she grumbled.
"What's wrong with that-?"
"EVERYTHING!" she exasperatedly said. Her arms were raised upwards as if to emphasize her frustration.
"Nisha, cafe, chill."

"I am chill, Al, but seriously, are you really sure that you don't have any feelings for him?"
"...Ok, ok, I'm honestly also not sure myself?"

"What? Al, you talk about him every time a topic correlates with him. Every. Time."
"So..?"
"My God, please send mercy. Have you talked like that about anyone else as often as him?"
"Yeah, I-- ..."

Alice could easily see the smug expression plastered on Nisha's face.

"I'm taking that as a no," Nisha teased.

"Have you realized or noticed it yet?"
