So You Just Got Eaten

Silas sat up, rubbing the sides of his temples with his finger tips before moving them to his eyes. He looked around him, finding nothing but darkness. "Did I die again?"

"No. Unless we all did and this is heaven." Emmy's voice broke out from the darkness before her face was revealed by torchlight. "Lucky this one wasn't soaked through."

"The goddess has once again willed us forward," Xarus said, hands hidden under his drenched sleeves as he moved his arms in the traditional prayer of his church.

"So what now?" Arisa asked. "I think we just got eaten. So, what, do we go out the other end?"

"Ignoring that." Silas sighed and turned, before stopping himself. His eyes rested on a small wooden sign, shoved into the stomach lining of the creature they were inside. Much of the edges of it had been eroded away with time, seawater, and very possibly stomach acid, but in the center in incredibly fine but elegant print read 'Taiyō City' in elvish, with an arrow pointing forward. "Um, sure, okay."

A churning sound of the stomach echoed all around them for a moment. The torch flickered as liquids dripped onto it from the surrounding walls. The only "exit" to whatever they were inside lay about 20 feet before them, narrowing into a small passage in the direction the sign pointed.
