- Added the ability to upgrade affixes! Items with affixes that are combined with an affix tome containing the same affix will now result in an increased level of that affix, rather than just the highest level of the two. Tomes themselves can also be merged, allowing for creation of stronger affix tomes before application to an item.
- On top of that, Splitting and Obliteration function on Affix Tomes as well! You are free to separate and level down your affixes to create the exact strength you desire.
- Also, the bug where soul fire particles showed up beneath your feet is fixed, so that's good.
- And to recap from 4.5.4, affixes are now far widely more applicable to items. Items specified via datapack will no longer check the item they are applied to, and manual overrides of an item's autodetected equipment type are now possible (in deadly.cfg). This means if you want to designate a stick as a sword, and let it receive sword affixes, you can!

- Silk-Touched spawners will no longer drop any other items.
- The deadly module config now allows for items auto-detected Equipment Type to be manually assigned, to allow for better compatibility with the affix system. Also, datapack entries will now strictly use the type assigned in the file, meaning you can designate an item as a sword, but have an affix loot entry with type axe that allows it to generate with axe affixes, but only when found through loot.

- New steel crafting recipes
- Steel is now crafted through multiple steps to balance its cost with other mods such as Mekanism or Immersive Engineering.
- The steps are:
- • blasting an iron ingot into ferrite (this requires one coal per ferrite)
- • crafting raw steel with 3 ferrite dusts
- • blasting raw steel into a steel ingot (his requires ½ coal per ingot)
- This process does require a cheaper setup (basically just a vanilla blast furnace) however each steel ingot costs 3 iron ingots and almost 4 coal which is more expensive than the process from other mods, not counting crafting time which is a bit long. This gives players a choice between a simpler setup but less efficient and a complex setup but way more efficient in terms of ressource consuming.
- Note: this is still subject to changes depending on feedbacks.
- Steel material changes
- Steel is now closer to iron in terms of gear efficiency. Durability is still higher than iron but lower than diamond.
- Bitumen generation changes
- Bitumen now comes in smaller pockets, around sea level. Biomes that are hilly or mountainous do not have bitumen pockets anymore. This should reduce bitumen quantity in the world.
- To find bitumen the best way is now looking around rivers or coasts however you can still find pockets in caves near the surface.
- Other changes
- • Crafts requiring bitumen now use tags for mod compatibility
- • Steel fence now requires bolts so Immersive Engineering steel fences can be crafted on their side as the multiblocks can't accept fences from other mods
- • Bitumen ore now drops experience when mined

- Added built-in Silent Gear compatibility! You can now use this mod with the Silent Gear mod and use the black opal and the amethyst as components for blueprints. I didn't add netherite opal because Silent Gear has a built in feature called coating which is effectively the same as netherite opal. In order to get the netherite version of your black opal tools in Silent Gear, use a coating blueprint to make netherite coating, and then add the coating to the tool. I'll try to update the wiki to include all this stuff too. Thank you to lele92007 for suggesting this.
- I could not find an easy way to make the OAD config dynamically change the stats of their Silent Gear counterparts, so the stats of the Silent Gear counterparts will only have the default values of this mods config file.
